The best restaurants in Burscough East West Lancashire North West

Excellent! Stopped here for a drink and a sit down after enjoying the beautiful canal that The Thirsty Duck backs onto. What an amazing place!! The location is beautiful, the staff are friendly, lovely and very helpful and the special selection of beers and larger are so very delicious; I've not had any like them anywhere else. We will definitely be returning to stay longer next time.

First time visiting with friends. Had heard food is good but service and atmosphere can be mixed. I can see why. Positives; menu differed from typical Italian fare which was good and there was a good vegan and vegetarian choice, plus an issue mix up with our table order was quickly resolved by (I think) manager FOH. Not so great was the atmosphere and also the attitude of a couple of members of staff who were slightly off hand and cold. I think we would return to see if the latter was a one off, as we did like the menu.

Hugos was Boss! Food was spot on, coffee was great and the staff were friendly and attentive. Would defo recommend!

Food was lovely as always but the service was awful. Waitress was moody and forgot a couple of our order requests. We had to enquire about drink orders multiple times and in the end cancelled due to waiting over an hour. Additionally an hours wait for our food is ridiculous.

Excellent bar to visit in Burscough wharf , always welcoming with a range of beers . If you visit Burscough Cactus rays is a must visit .

Went in for a couple of drinks on Saturday, it was fantastic to be fair. The service was good and the beer and wine tasty, we will be back.

Called in the Thirsty Duck a few times and always great service and nice beers 🍻 👌

Best burger I have had in a long time and the service was great too

4 of us had starters, mains and deserts. All different dishes. All very tasty, exceptionally cooked. Staff were outstanding. Great place to eat and drink.

Just purchased fish-and-chips disgusting.£8 Swimming in greece see photo inedible used to be excellent, not any more well I won't be back.

Food was great, arrived hot but delivery time let it down a bit.
