Burscough Wharf in West Lancashire

Called in the Thirsty Duck a few times and always great service and nice beers 🍻 👌

What a little treasure this cafe is! Food was excellent and varied, service was fast. A pleasant atmosphere and staff very polite, and it didn't break the bank. Will be returning.

Driven past it many many times and never stopped to check it out until this evening. Lots of little independent shops and bars, all of them friendly and welcoming. Very much recommended

What a brilliant hidden gem. An outdoor seating area (although there are some huts) and in summer I believe they have entertainment, surrounded by various bars and eateries. Fab and chilled

Nice place, didn't eat just had drinks, but wine very expensive, plus didn't ask what size we wanted for a big one and it was nice wine but very expensive

Almost nothing in there,was really chilly day too but I can recommend the gofrettes!

Very nice here. We had waffles from the MILKIE BAR, the waffles are very big, one would have been enough for both of us, not one each. CRT services are okay. it's a shame the rubbish disposal is closed. Where are boaters supposed to dispose of their rubbish?

The courtyard is way too cluttered now and ruins the look and feels a little.

Only tried Hugo's Cafe. Would love to try Kaizen at some point

Limited parking spaces so it's pot luck if you do get parked. Was quite busy around 1pm on a Saturday. Tried to order food only to find it was cash payments only. Ended up with a cheese toastie from the milky bar cafe. Expect to pay around £15-16 for 2 cheese toasties and a drink. The walk along the canal path was lovely.

Busy and lovely coffee shop staff were great attentive and jolly which I like coffee was lovely ..Need Yorkshire tea in the pots of tea though 🤣 🤣

Ordered crispy chicken sandwich with chips that cost over £10,there was probably 10 chips on plate with tired looking salad,the main issue was the crispy chicken sandwich that had 2 fish finger sized chicken pieces that was charred on a bun that was mammoth&far to big for the very limited filling,VERY POOR

Hugo's always serves amazing food and the staff are always lovely and very accommodating

Went to hugos cafe I'd not bn there before it was very nice the food was very reasonably priced I got service quickly I enjoyed the hunters chicken n I also had a piece of chocolate cake

Lovely place to visit. Cafe is dog friendly Food was nice Staff friendly and service was quick. Canal has lovely boats. The wharf has cobbles. Worth a visit.

Table not cleaned when we asked,just wiped with a dry cloth, service very slow,and food was undercooked, snotty eggs 🥚

We didn't eat or drink here but it was busy with lots of people enjoying food and drink in the sunshine.

I loved our first visit to the wharf. I would say the seating needs to be a little clearer, we were asked to buy a drink or move because we were in one bar having bought drinks from another. Also as it gets later, the chilled vibe gets ruined a bit with multiple places playing different music...Hugos was fab, they had finished serving food which we didn't know as it was our first visit there, but still made us a delicious sandwich. So kind! Cactus Ray's as fab vibe but little disappointed it advertises online they do platters to turn up to find they stopped doing them some time ago, so that was a little misleading. All in all its chilled, perfect for a sunny afternoon, great little mix of bars and eateries with a great vibe. 👍

Great staff nothing was too much for them. Food was tasty and a good selection of food.

Went for a stroll down the canal and stopped off her for some lunch. I had the blt on sourdough and my partner had the burrito the door was amazing here. So much flavour. They stopped serving food at 3 an we got there just a couple mins before but the lady was lovely and waited to take our order before shutting. Extra bonus for doing a plain chicken breast for our dog. Safe to say she woofed that down and loved it. Thank you guys. We will definitely be back.

Lovely spot for a coffee after canal walk

Great little place with a selection of cafés, desert bar, food and drink options. Also had yoga and Thai massage studios. Great little venue for catching up with friends or some R&R. Well worth checking this little hub out

Stopped at Hugo's for brunch, had the all day brekkie and it was delicious. One had the eggs bendict and said it was lovely, another had pancakes with syrup and they were also delicious. Top quality food and great service, would definitely recommend to others. We also popped to the milkie way for ice creams and crepes, they were also delicious and highly recommended 👍

Great place to stop off for a refreshment when walking or cycling

This is quite a cute area to hang out in Burscough. There are places to eat, have coffee, listen to live music and enjoy the ambience. At night there are hanging fairy lights outside as well as a live music & seating area. I found parking but it was midweek so I'm not sure what it would be like on a weekend. I had coffee and lunch at Hugo's then an ice cream Sundae right next door. Such a lovely area. Highly recommend visiting the Wharf.

Lovely place, CRT facilities, local shops, cafés, restaurants....The Mullard very good food and friendly, would highly recommend Burscough for a place to stay en route to Liverpool

Burscough is a lovely place. Great selection of shops including a charity shop which has the nicest things for unbelievably low prices (for my fellow thrifters). There is a Tesco for groceries, pharmacy, along with beauty shops and a few really quant pubs. Pubs serve food which is good. The canal is clean, locals are lovely. It's a great spot to moor up.

I love the relaxed vibe. I was visiting the Arts centre for my 1st Uke and loved fact lift available as I define as Disabled and wonderful mural made of tiles and great uke community.

Good place to moor for local shops and Tesco's but there are no bins to get rid of your rubbish. There is an elsan point plus showers, toilet and water point.

The Arts Centre is a great venue for lots of group sessions. It's private and a great venue for open Mike gigs.

Arrived by canal boat and we were bowled over by the various eating and drinking establishments located in the Wharf.
