Lunch here and I consider they are over rated. Soup was very nice, milk shake (£6) was all foam and no substance and way too small. 2 lots of sandwiches were very poor indeed. Supposed to be hand carved ham, well they must work part time in a lab making microscopy slices as it was more like machined and only one slice on some slightly stale boring brown bread (both sandwiches seemed to be on supermarket type bread and for £8 I would expect some kind of artisan loaf. Salad again for the price was poor. It consisted of white lettuce ,peppers and raw onion and that was it. More like a back street cafe offering I am afraid, only my opinion and they do have lots of good reviews so maybe a Monday afternoon was not a good time.

My mum and I called in for a drink this morning. The staff were very friendly. My mum wanted to try the chai latte (which she’s never had before) and was a bit reluctant. They made her a small one to try first before she decided. She loved it and the lady then made her a full size one. When we went to pay, there was no charge for the small drink, which I thought was lovely of her. We didn’t have anything to eat, but the food they were serving looked delicious, with plenty options for vegetarians and vegans, I’ll definitely be back to try it.

Lovely place to come for a meal, catch up with friends or just have a brew. They also serve alcohol, afternoon tea and gluten free, vegan options.

Great place for lunch, good menu from Sandwiches to Fish & Chips and more. The service was very good despite all the tables being full when we visited. Will call in again.

We went for drinks so we can't comment on the food....only that what we saw looked lovely. The service was great and they gave our two young children some lovely letters to santa to fill in and an envelope to post in thier north pole postbox. The festive drink menu was lovely. To top it off our sons were both given a little gift with some sweets in. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing - under new management and they have turned this place around. The ambiance was so welcoming and warm. The staff are all over it - customer service at its best. The portions were massive and so delicious. Old timeless classic building -mixed with a modern twist. I sat here on my own for 2hours waiting for my car to be fixed - ate n drank so much - but didn’t feel awkward being alone. Truly stunning interior, spotlessly clean, flattering lighting, great tunes- perfect little cafe Bistro. I wish you lots of luck with this project - 10/10. It’s got the heart of village community amalgamated with meeting to everyone’s expectations of what a great little place for a munch is - so relaxed. Thank you xx

First visit to Boskins today. Visited for breakfast, Absolutely delicious food, all freshly prepared, so much on the menu and plenty of choice for everyone. Lovely atmosphere and staff very friendly. Highly recommend.

Went for breakfast with the family, was very disappointed our food came out 2 full english, eggs Benedict, pancakes , kids breakfast, The full english was cold our mushrooms ,beans , i asked for scrambled egg they just chopped the fried egg up, was no bigger than our grandaughter breaki ,they cooked bacon sausage on griddle my bacon was full of burnt bits of it , i wouldnt go back think its the worst breakfast ive ever had, even 2 ladys complained about there teacakes how can u get that wrong,

Always great service, fabulous food and friendly atmosphere. Visited today with a friend and our children. All had a great time and will be returning soon. Highly recommend for any occasion - brunch, lunch, dinner, coffee and cake, afternoon tea or a glass of wine and a catch up. Thank you

Visited a few times in the past and usually very good. The service was a bit slack last weekend 8/7/23 with wrong order arriving and later a drink missing. When we got the receipt we found we had also been charged for the wrong order as well. Staff could not apologise enough. Will give it another go when in the area as we all allowed the occasional off day.

Lovely cafe with good food and nice staff. Loses one star because the milkshakes are very expensive and way too small. About 50p a gulp!

My dad and I went for Fathers day today. The girl behind the till did say there was a 30 minute wait for food. I said that was fine as we were sat outside enjoying the sunshine. When the food did arrive ,Whitby Scampi and chips it was well worth the wait. It was delicious. And so was the BlueBerry cheesecake recommended by one of the chefs. The only concern I have is my dad is immobile and uses a mobility scooter and there was no access to the tables for him because of all the cars parked up along side each other. I had to ask all the customers if 1 of them would move their car so my dad could get to the table on his scooter. I love Boskins but not thinking of the disabled. They need a designated pathway for wheelchairs and scooters. Thankfully a very kind man moved his car into a space at the back of carpark. By the way my dad is nearly 90years d. Thankyou

Disappointed today -280423 . One of my favourite cafes and been visiting regularly since it opened. Sandwich size was meagre to say the very least . I've been used to the excellent 'door stop' sandwiches Boskins used to serve . Noticed from another recent review that I'm not on my own. Boskin's - you can do much better than this. Coffee was really good ,as usual. Glad I ordered a portion of chips which went someway to fill the missing gap left by the lack of the sandwich. Coffee and Cake only Cafe until things improve.

Called in for breakfast... as the norm on a sunday. waited 30mins for a drink.. over an hour for food. Then it was . Cold. Undercooked. Most of it ... burnt toast... rock hard black pud... . Then charged £25 . No apologies. Not just me. Other people left the food and walked out.. .. never again. . Its a 0 from me

Honestly one star is too high of a rating for this place. Absolutely awful experience from start to finish. Terrible service, rude staff,Poor quality food. First and last time I would come.

Efficient staff. Good food. Vibrant atmosphere. A little busy and hectic just after lunchtime. Will definitely revisit.

Always good for breakfast and we extended it to lunch and drinks for their Easter weekend extravaganza! Great kids entertainment (inc. bouncy castle) then and the evening musician was particularly good. The adjacent large grass space is particularly good for energetic kids.

Ordered cheese and chutney sandwich plus a side of fry's. All tasted very nice, but what let it down was the size of the sandwich!! Very small, and I mean small.must say though that's the best cup of coffee I have had for a long time.good place for a coffee and a cake, but not lunch if your hungry.

Ok food but very overpriced. Terrible service - they forgot one of our dinners and then they sneakily charged us extra where they shouldn't have. Not recommended.

Second time I've visited this cafe and had a sausage barm and a cappuccino coffee. The food was excellent as was the coffee, if a little strong for my tastes, the service was excellent and on a cold blustery day the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

Great little cafe, our first visit yesterday and it was totally worth it! Staff was very friendly and helpful even though it was very busy. Food was very good and quick. Recommended!

Last thing I wanted to do was rate a local independent with 1 star however after our experience Monday our group of 5 will not be returning. Horrible experience from start to finish- entered the premises with staff walking past multiple times not even acknowledging us, part of one meal was accidentally thrown over table by waitress ( fine accidents happen) but most would apologise not continue laughing. One member of the group arrived at 3.05pm and was spoken to so rudely by the staff member and told food stops at 3pm however when I rang a few days prior was told it was 3.30pm. A young girl behind the counter glared at me and said you would not have been told that then turned her back on me. The second lady behind the counter said she didn't even have my booking am I sure I called the right place to which I assured her I did. She said well you cant have its not in the diary- I showed her my call log and she agreed it was the correct number- shrugged her shoulders and said well anyway its not in the diary and smirked at me! The whole party was spoken to in such a rude and flippant manner- this place has really gone downhill and customer service is severely lacking

Delivered a 2" doorstop crusty sandwich for child's meal. Also delivered hard boiled eggs instead of poached on the eggs benedict.

Really nice place for a quiet coffee. Entrance is at the rear of the business. Lots of tables outside and it's a proper sun trap as well. Nice variety on the menu all at reasonable prices

Went in on walking day afternoon for a cappuccino and a cake . Had a piece of lemon meringue which was completely stale and tasteless , the filling was as hard as a piece of rubber . Told the waitress who didn’t care just said it had been kept in the fridge and charged almost £14 for 2 coffees and 2 pieces of stale cake . Shame on them . Won’t visit again

Boskins do takeaways and dine in. We have tried both and have never been let down. The menu is designed to cover most people's tastes including all day breakfast dishes. The food was delicious and always hot. They also have a specials menu. For those who want a beer or a glass of they have a cask ale and a lager pump. The staff were very friendly and welcoming with prompt service. Whilst they accept walk ins, I recommend that you make a booking, especially around lunch time.

I so enjoyed the interview tonight on Radio 4 PM programme. The friendly atmosphere could be felt even though I’m way down south. Fair play to you all and hats off to Chris Brown. He put a big smile on my face. Can’t wait until I’m in the area and can see you all in person. Grub up!!

Coffee not very hot and decaff Coffee very poor tasted like cardboard. Sorry for this bad review but we will visit again in a few months and hopefully report a better review

First time visitor. Coffee and scones with jam and cream. Worth a visit and it is obviously very popular.

Our last experience was poor, after about 45 minutes they realised following a gentle prompt that our order had been forgotten.

Wonderful and friendly staff, I was catered for and made to feel so comfortable as soon as I entered premises. Very efficient and service is second to none, the food is glorious guys and to be fair with you I would of paid the same price for just one of these Eggs Benedict...2 of them just so so filling, great cafe and will definitely be visiting more regularly 😀 😊

Booked Christmas lunch. Very disappointed with presentation. Nothing Christmassy on the table, not even Christmas serviettes. No crackers table cloth etc. Food was fine except vegetarian meal which was very poor.

Fantastic little village cafė. Not too crowded and very fast and efficient service. I had a pot of tea, toasted tea cake and some halloumi fries; very tasty indeed. I was served by Willow who was a great ambassador for the shop.

Little expensive portion size on a takeout was smaller than expected. Lovely Victorian lemonade. 2 panini supposedly served with salad and crisps but if order chips charged for chips and get no salad or crisps 2 bottles of water £20.
