The Old Post Office in West Lancashire

Visited this bar/restaurant with my daughter for a birthday get together. What an absolute gem this place is. Classy and clean interior, lovely ambiance and delicious food. Staff were incredibly kind and couldn’t have been more helpful. Have visited Ormskirk many times (daughter is at Uni there) but this was my first visit to the Old Post Office, definitely won’t be my last. Overall fabulous place! Thank you

Ordered through Cabo Mexican Street Food which they serve from here. We waited 45 mins and the order still hasn’t been confirmed on Deliveroo so I call the restaurant 5 times before they answer just to be told that there’s a Liverpool game on and they aren’t taking online orders for Cabo. Even though money was taken from my account and my order went through on Deliveroo. He then told me they stopped taking orders because they “turned off the machines.” News flash, the apps don’t know you turned off the machines, you need to manually stop taking orders on them. Such a stupid way to run a restaurant when the staff don’t even know how the machines work and paying customers are left waiting for nearly an hour with no communication that delivery isn’t available.

Noticed the 50% off sign outside so nipped in on a Sunday afternoon. The member of staff who seems to be working alone at front of house was really friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and service was prompt and attentive. What a great find. Looking forward to next time even if not 50% OFF 😁

Visited the old post office for dinner and it was a delightful experience. The charm of the building adds to its character with its decor creating a wonderful ambiance. The food was exceptional - flavourful and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The place was nice and clean with a great atmosphere. I am already planning a return visit. I had a pizza whilst my partner had a halloumi gyro, we both highly recommend 👍

We booked dur yo pictures of food & good reviews. When we arrived we went to the bar, from the start the staff just weren't interested in us in fact I'd more say couldn't br bothered. We were sent to the end of the bar. A guy came out yo us & told us our table wasn't ready, there is a party of three women who had clearly just got fresh drinks. The table was tiny, not big enough for plates of food. He then reluctantly gave us another table. The table had glasses on it & was dirty, he moved the glasses but didn't come back to clean it. Instead he went back in to the kitchen (we were sat right opposite it. He never washed his hands & went straight to food left ready to serve. At that point we left.

Lovely place, nicely decorated. Cool vibe, industrial look. Wish there were more Mexican options on the menu. Gyros was Luke warm when it arrived Sticky toffee pudding was dry, no sauce disappointed. The music was fine then they turned it up. It was so loud made me finish my drink and food quickly as it was giving me a headache.

A really great place to eat. Enjoyed an amazing breakfast here as well as an amazing dinner meal on a different occasion.

Very good bao buns, curry but fish size should be reviewed. My friend had such a small battered fish. Wonderful waiter and atmosphere. Definately go again . TU. But make the fish twice the size!

I really like this bar but we visited last night for a family meal, now I’m not reviewing everyone’s food just mine, I ordered crispy cod loaded fries and what I received was battered white fish from, I assume, Iceland or a similar store. Don’t eat here, there are many better options for food in Ormskirk

First visit to the old post office in Ormskirk. It’s normally packed and we’re a generation older than the typical clientele. However, my wife and I had a great experience. The food was great, we had a comfy seat to watch the football. The drinks were spot on which is also important to me. I do like my beer!! What set our experience to a 5* though was the hospitality provided by Jack. Thank you Jack, you looked after us so very well. No fuss, just polite and considerate attention and advice about what was on offer. We had everything we wanted for which we felt very grateful. Jack is a real asset to this bar!! We will be back.

Great food and drink and good atmosphere

Very lovely quick lunch in this modern pub. It was busy and the staff were attentive. I did not like the milk 🥛 for the tea and the lack of dairy alternatives. The eggs were perfect.

This was the best place we have been to for bottomless brunch..omg..the food was amazing the staff are so friendly. Kept us all up with the top ups for the whole 2 hours..well done to u all. u made our visit to ormskirk absolutely amazing..this is the place i want to go to again and again..thank u so much for looking after us and we will defo be back soon...😁😁😁

Full house for the football on the big TVs. Atmosphere was terrific. Those of our party where pleased with their meals. Service was very good and prompt

We had a fabulous lunch here after getting a few things from the outdoor market, which is just outside. We had the 3 plates for £26.95 deal. We had amazing Bao buns with Hoisin duck, Stacked beef burger and Focaccia club sandwich. The portion of chips was well worth it. My wife has a disability and the disabled toilet facilities were brilliant.. The staff were very friendly. Its a great place.

Went for the first time after reading reviews and looking at the photos on the website. Dirty cutlery and glasses. Quesadillas were average. Gyros - wrap was like a frisbee and couldn't get a knife through it. Filling average. Nachos - very bland, looked nothing like the photos on the website and didn't come with soured cream, guacamole or salsa. Definitely won't be making a return visit and wouldn't recommend despite other reviews. More than disappointing.

Often visit for a bite to eat and drinks when out in Ormskirk. Both pizzas and burgers are great, order food and drink with the app and gets brought straight to your table. Staff have always been great. Note it can get loud on a Saturday night especially if with the football on and when bigger groups in, however never put us off.

We came here for lunch on a weekday. The building is lovely and nicely decorated. We had pizza and the duck pancakes- top food and we will return another day.

Food was fine, staff very pleasant. Great place for young adults enjoying social time. One critic the entrance from the pavement needs a good cleaning up. Cigarette buts covered the steps leading up to the doors, empty cig pkts. Pkts and litter everywhere. Not a good advert for what the business has for what lies inside.

Visiting on a Saturday lunchtime about 12.30, shocked to find we were the only patrons. Welcoming, warm atmosphere and obviously plenty of room, menu was okay, nothing special but as expected for this type of place that caters more for night-time crowd. Loaded hash browns very filling. Staff friendly, no regrets about the visit, and the limitless hit drinks welcome on a cold day.

Visited Monday lunchtime with my mum and little baby. The location of the restaurant/bar is perfect as it offers loads of parking near by. The interior of the bar is very warm and welcoming it felt comfortable, it also has a ramp outside perfect for the pram and also wheelchair friendly. The young girl working in there called Megan was very helpful and friendly as she helped us use the vinci app to order food. I had gone for the eggs benedict with salmon and my mum had the breakfast which we're both very tasty and well presented. When it come to paying we did have a slight issue with the chip n pin but Megan was very helpful and sorted the issue out quickly. Would come again with either family or friends!

Anyone who knows me knows that I am very partial to a vegetarian all-day breakfast. I was very hungry and I was also short of time and I had to be back at work at 1pm. So I went into the Old Post office. The first thing that struck me was how clean it was. I could smell it as I went in. I got a menu and went to the bar. I was greeted by a very friendly young man with a very strong Irish accent. He couldn't have been nicer if he tried. He took my order and gave me a glass of tap water as I asked. My order arrived within minutes and you can see the photo. The poached eggs were very nice and very soft- just how I like them. Those sausages had clearly been hand-made on site. They were as fresh as daisy and tasted divine! The hash browns were as crips as they could be and were very tasty. The tomato was again very fresh. The baked beans were cooked just as I like them. It was a meal fit for a member of the Royal Family at a very reasonable price. So all in all it was a great meal at a very reasonable price. Would I go there again? Of course. Would I recommend the Old Post Office to anyone else? Yes of course. I'll be making a point to vist more frequently.

Very polite greeting at the door and well looked after by the staff from that point onwards. Today was the first day the brunch menu was launched and it was spot on. Went for a TOPO Breakfast, a Waffle Stack (berries) and two coffee's. TOPO Breakfast was cooked to perfection, bacon and hash browns crispy, poached egg just right with lovely sourdough toast and proper butter. Waffle Stack well presented and unlimited refills of the coffee's included. Also if you use the Vici Club app your earn 10% credit back to use on your next purchase. (My next purchase could be as soon as tomorrow morning!) Thanks to the staff for a great visit, see you again soon.

First time I visited this place since its been refurbished into a pub/bar.

Really nice pub. Even though the food choice was limited to burgers, pizza, nachos, fries, chicken wings, there was lots of twists and choices and it also tasted fantastic. Even better was they have just started 50% off the price of food. There was a good choice of beers too. Lots of comfy seating inside and outside. Definitely recommend this pub

Booked lunch for 4. There is a large selection to choose from, including sharing platters, burgers, sandwiches and pizza. They also serve cocktails as well as the usual drinks. We ordered a selection of sharing platters, pizzas, meatball and chorizo sandwich and a cheese burger. All the food was very tasty. The garlic bread and pizzas were huge! The meatball sandwich had a delicious tomato sauce and the halloumi fries were one of the best I’ve ever tasted. We will definitely be back!

Had a great night here at the weekend. Lauren was an amazing barmaid, explaining the cocktails to my partner and recommending some, made us feel very welcome. This place has the best pornstars in ormskirk without a doubt! The staff are really clued up on their drinks knowledge, can’t wait to come back

First time here! Really impressed with how it is set out and there is charge points for your phone. Just a had a drink this time but after looking at the menu will try food next time!

They've done a great job in redesigning the Interior. Love the exposed Brickwork. Great variety of Food and Drink, and all reasonably priced. Gets really busy when the Football is on, so booking a Table/Booth is essential, if you're planning to go in on such occasions.

Really nice place to drink and we were even more surprised by the quality of the food. Pizzas are unreal, be careful with the buffalo wings though as they are really spicy! We were warned 😁

Visited for the first time mid week, Sat outside and had one of the best Pornstar Martinis. Great position right in centre of town. Large outdoor seating area to people watch on a sunny day. All tables nice and clean and tidy along waitress service....

Based on today’s visit the menu was very limited all to do with natchos???so I ordered mine waited over 30 mins so I asked and I think they forgot about my order! when I did get my food it was not really warm plus then...

Wow ! Definitely our favourite footy venue in Ormskirk, the food is fantastic, great menu and service, 4 or 5 large screns showing live matches, staff so friendly and helpful especially Jack, nothing is too much trouble. Also had family meal and my son 13...

Waiting 15 mins for 4 meals out of 5 to arrive, although very quite. Download app to order, bit of a faff if not aware. Take your card details when booking a table. Salads nice, nachos disappointing cheese not melted. Not a lot of choice on menu. Not even burgers 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
