The best restaurants in Marple North Stockport North West

We visited yesterday evening for my birthday, for the first time, and we will certainly be back. The food was superb, freshly cooked, and delicious. Sonny the owner did everything that he could to make us feel welcome and we had a lovely evening.

Very good in both summer and winter months. Great value food and at a very good standard. Very friendly too. Also have some events on with street food stalls which are excellent too.

Visited this restaurant last Sunday with my wife and eldest son and we enjoyed a lovely evening with great food combined with attentive and friendly service. Well thought out menu which offers a completely different choice of dishes compared to similar type Asian restaurants that I have visited. As somebody who enjoys cooking I can appreciate the effort that goes into the freshly cooked dishes that not only taste fantastic but the presentation of the dishes makes them look visually good as well. Finally, how do they make cauliflower taste so good. If you have eaten here you will know what I mean. This was our first visit for about 6 months and great to see that the high standards has been maintained.

Its not always that i tick 5 stars on a wonderful country pub, but mistakenly i thought it had somehow fanished years ago . Having tasted its wonderful varied food menu and wine in the past i took my freind who has worked for the hospitality business for many years. We were both very impressed and can recommend it for family or just two people , it is dog freindly which suited us perfect . The menu is superb and varied with a good web site to download . Booking i would say is recommended. There is a car park be it small and functional....Enjoy !

Venue not as good as previous location. View over golf course wasn't very impressive.

Wonderful dinner! The food was amazing, but Sunny and the team made the evening even more fabulous - we were celebrating a diamond wedding anniversary and they made it extra special. Would highly recommend.

Proper local pub serving top ales with loads of choice. The bar snacks are top notch too and everyone is really welcoming. They do pop up food vans out the front too which is great.

Gorgeous pub with a big warm welcome from the Landlord, Landlady, and of course Steve! Amazing views from the beer garden with a great selection of drinks and snacks. They have the sports on and the fire lit, with good vibes and a dart board which is always great fun! My partner and I also attended their Christmas quiz which was a great laugh all around - even though we didn't win haha. Looking forward to visiting again 💕

Consistently excellent. Great range of breads, cheese, deli hams & meats, all kinds of sauces, chutnies etc sourced locally & internationally. High quality wines reasonably priced. Superb coffee! Friendly, helpful staff. Consumate Delicatessen!

I went to this place for my dinner at work, she asked me do I want food or drink, I said a bit of both, she only turned round and said we don’t do any of that here you should go to the cafe down the road, this woman needs to learn some manners and good customer service skills, what a disgusting way to treat a customer to tell them we don’t make what you want without even knowing what I want.

Been there many times. The steak pies caught me out, poured over the board when cut. Wonderful taste after fingering the board. Only four dinky porks left. Far too salty ;-) .

Dreadful the venue was empty hen beer cider tasted of vinegar it was far better when it was Jake’s ale house I won’t be returning there are better pubs in the village
