excellent food, good, friendly efficient staff. Nice wine list, good varied menu on a Sunday

Dreadful the venue was empty hen beer cider tasted of vinegar it was far better when it was Jake’s ale house I won’t be returning there are better pubs in the village

Fantastic pub, beautiful beer gardens, clean toilets, Fantastic selection of ales and the landlady Hayley went out of her way to ensure we had a fantastic time as we were a big group in for the afternoon watching the F1 on the TV. Can't wait to return.

We had been for a walk around the lake and rather than go straight home , decided to nip in for a coffee. The outside space desperately needs cheering up. It needs jet washing as do the tables and chairs . The area is mottled with bird poo . The peace was disturbed by the waitress clattering around clearing chairs and tables as it wasn’t far off closing . Coffee tepid .

Not been to this branch in 3 years and its untidy and we had the toasties which were limp not crispy rather disappointing

The family gathering of twenty one was not an easy one to cater for involving children and adults but the Midland coped brilliantly with patience and excellent service. The food was well cooked and everyone was complimentary . Special mention for James and Meghan who were great to deal with and nothing was too much trouble. I would strongly recommend it.

Unfortunately owned by a large chain who impose the accountants view on how to run a coffee shop. It's not a restaurant, it's a cafe in a garden centre. Minimal menu after 1130 breakfast over. Small selection of cakes and hot cross buns, but they are cold. They don't do tea cakes toast or hot cross buns after 1130. You can order a meal, but no small items

I wrote a review last week and sent photos on trip advisor of the disgraceful state of the cafe.. It looked like the place hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. All the seats were badly stained and full of crumbs as was the floor and tables, the toilets were also filthy and could do with a deep clean. The is absolutely no excuse for poor hygiene especially in a cafe and toilet . My review was answered saying the staff would be notified and hope on my next visit things would have been improved. Well surprise surprise IT WAS NOT. I could have taken at least a dozen more photos but didn’t bother as I dont think you are in the least bit interested. Disgraceful customer service Dobbies. Just thought I would tell you my review and photos have been removed from trip advisor,so I am sending them again. I have also put a review and photos on trustpilot
