We happened upon Wraysholme creamery while out on a family bike ride and I am so glad we did, the ice cream was amazing! It is the best I've ever had and my son agreed 👍. To top it off the farmer was so welcoming and friendly and invited my son to bottle feed some lambs, the staff in the cafe were also brilliant with my allergy and took time to check ingredients and help me to find something suitable. Wraysholme creamery is a beautiful picturesque setting, just perfect on a nice day ❤️ I highly recommend.

Great little restaurant. Super food and wine, friendly service to us and our dog! Our only challenge was that the portion sizes were very generous for us, but we took the remainder home to enjoy again. Would thoroughly recommend. Lots of GF options too.

Cold and smelled of dogs on arrival. Waited ages to be served and the waitress was more interested on who was at the bar rather than taking our table order for 10 people. Food was very salty and the steak pie in particular was terrible. Every meal as standard/basic or frozen style food. The whole place is run down and miserable. We went off trip advisor reviews as well on a visit to the area and wished we hadn’t. Go to The Pheasant Inn down the road at Allithwaite instead that was lovely food and fab service.

Called in here after heading home from a car boot to grab a coffee however after seeing the fantastic quality of food being served we decided to opt for a full English breakfast as well.Oh my what a treat! Freshly cooked to order, quality products used , no cheap stuff and all served up by friendly cheerful staff. What more could one want. Superb!

Great food and service. But… Prices were a bit higher than expected. The only toilet is outside, the lock doesn’t work, there was no soap and it was dirty. Staff didn’t seem to care and said “oh”. But apart from the toilet issues it was good.

Stayed at the nearby Haven site and as its been nearly 20 years since last coming in here, booked a table. Joshua, provided both bar and waiter service, was quick, efficient and very friendly. Couple of nice pints with the Cumbria ale and Dizzy Blonde. Meals were both superb and plentiful, and not overpriced. Fish & chips for me, rag pudding & chips for OH. Wanted the liver, bacon & mash but it had sold out, unfortunately. Clean and tidy pub that offers 7 rooms for accomodation. Nice beer garden to the rear to relax in. Only about 10/15 walk back to the caravan. Central village location and great base for exploring the South Lakes. Advised for a visit 👍🏻👍🏻

A stunning little cafe set in the grounds of Holker Hall. We called in for a cuppa and sweet treats after spending the afternoon wandering around the grounds. We were lucky enough to have a glorious autumn day, so were able to sit out in the courtyard, which is beautiful. The staff were amazing, so friendly. The prices were good too, I was actually surprised at how reasonable it was, given the location. I had a pot of tea and shortbread, which was to die for! Such a wonderful little spot, it’s a must try when in the area.

Salt and pepper wings with a side order of soft noodles. I was very disappointed with the tasteless noodles, swimming in a tasteless sauce. The wings were tough, although at 6 in a potion, a good size. Really didn't enjoy the meal, with nearly all the noodles ending up in the bin.
