The best restaurants in Ribble Valley North West

Had lunch here today and it was perfect. Served by lovely friendly staff and the food was delicious. Liver and onions and the Seabass. Beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and full of flavour.

The food was delicious, I had salmon farfalle and rosemary garlic bread, all really tasty and well cooked. They also do the best affogato that I've come across. The restaurant is a little cramped and felt a little chaotic in that it didn't feel like a relaxing environment. We got a warm welcome from the owner(?) But after that it felt as if we were forgotten about. We found the service lacking from the two ladies: no eye contact, no smile, no please or thank you's, no parmesan or black pepper, not one person asked us how we enjoyed our food and we had to stop people in their tracks in order to get another drink. Our conclusion was great food but poor service

If you go to spice once you will be goin back every time after that's all I can say 👍

Terrible food tasted like water put me off Chinese food for two week even the poor goldfish in the fish tank in the shop was neglected and dying would not recommend will ruin you night

Great family breakfast! 7 of us ,had 6-64 visited this morning.We had pre-booked as we were a large party. We had two children ,a vegetarian adult and a vegan adult. All of our needs were met admirably. Immaculately clean and the table was set ready for us. All members of staff were cheerful and polite.The service was prompt with all the meals delivered together. The boys had been given a small biscuit to have with their drink while waiting. All the meals were beautifully presented and really tasty. The menu has a lovely varied selection and we all had different breakfasts which were freshly cooked to order. We were there for an hour including a look at the nice furniture! The toilet facilities were very clean. We were parked right outside. Nothing to gripe about here! The restaurant area was full by the time we left. Full marks ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We love coming to Cafe by the River, great homecooked food, fab table service, delicious cakes too. Always has customers, says it all really about how good it is.

Came twice once on a Saturday night food was great seabass was yum !!!! Puddings great too. Then came on a Sunday. Pre ordered roasts so that was good. Great subday roast couldn't complain at all and great caul cheese sides !

Really disappointing and I would strongly avoid. We’d been once before to eat in and the service was poor and slow with the food very average. We recently tried again via home delivery and the food was over 1:15mins late and stone cold. Called the venue who said they’d fully refund and then refused to do so.

Came with a friend to watch an artist. Had a fantastic afternoon. The staff were fab there was a warm friendly atmosphere and the musician Paul was great. A fantastic way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Looking forward to my next visit *****

Food is always hot and lovely , fast delivery , free Garlic bread , friendly staff and delivery drivers . No complaints from us , always 10/10

Brilliant looks good and beer is good

Ordered two Singapore noodles, what we received was beef in black pepper with noodles and chicken with black pepper sauce, chicken was tough and certainly had better. Would we go back? Don't think so as there are far better out there. Husband went in with friend and they'd both had a drink so I think they just gave us anything thinking it wouldn't be noticed - just something to think about.

Second visit for a meal this week. The Sunday Lunch, as always, was superb. Enormous yorkshire pudding, delicious roasts and vegetables that were fresh and seasonal. Our second visit was to try the Tuesday “special” of Fish and Chips. The fish was cooked to perfection and the scampi was delicious. Great value for money. Special mention to Nigel and Amy for their attentive, professional and efficient service.
