The best restaurants in Primrose Ribble Valley North West

We were greeted by an amused member of staff who asked us if we were aware of the disco that was going on until 1am which hadn't been disclosed on booking we said no and he just laughed. Room was basic smell was atrocious very dated dirty, stale no air fresheners to even disguise the smell ,music went on into the early hours. We stayed in the miss whiplash room bed was comfy but the smell because it was so old knocked me sick and I barely got any sleep. When on booking we took into account it was a pub and music would be on until last orders. They should have advertised on booking about the additional hours for the party I appreciate it is Christmas holidays but we would not have booked to stay here just very disappointed. It was grotty and worst hotel I have ever stayed in avoid!!!!

We stayed overnight as we were going to a wedding. Lovely clean rooms. Staff were amazing. So friendly and helpful from arriving to us leaving.

Made a special trip to Clitheroe to visit Doe, as on social media, the doughnuts look AMAZING!!! What a disappointment, the shop is beyond tatty and really needs sprucing up. The doughnuts I suspect are cheap wholesale mass purchased and all Doe Bakehouse do is decorate them. I doubt the doughnuts are made by them, they are just decorators! The doughnuts were a huge disappointment!! They are ring doughnuts so cant have a filling, then they slap a load of tasteless filling on top to hide the hole. They were dry, stale, tasteless and quite frankly in-edible, and after spending £24 i was astonished!! don't get sucked in to the hype people! What's that saying?? you cant polish a turd... sorry I mean doughnut!!! which is exactly what these guys are trying to do!!

Appalled to find most of the staff not wearing face masks,only one female member of staff was exempt.Considering the infection rate is rising , particularly in the north west I find this extremely worrying.

The food was great overall, the chicken wings weren’t the best i’ve had but definitely not the worst. However, the service made up for it - a really polite young blonde girl called lily made our night, will love revisiting.

Absolutely amazing food. Best Kebabs in town by far. Would recommend the Kofte kebabs and mix grills. Will be coming again and definitely recommend anyone in the area to try out Khyber. You will not be disappointed.

Ordered after receiving a leaflet through door. 1hr 50min wait for food. Had to ring twice for an update. Cold and under cooked. Told at the door reasons why it was late. “No fresh kebab meat, had to wait for more to be cooked” Their problem shouldn’t be mine.

Very disappointing for a booths cafe, tables were not adequately cleaned, had to ask for cutlery to be changed as there was dried food on the first lot. Steak pie was over cooked and dry. Chips were ok and plentiful. The tea and coffee were very nice, and although the cakes looked nice we were put off by the serving staff standing next to them with a cough, he did cover his mouth most but not every time. Had I used the toilets before eating we would not have stayed. The floor was strewn with dirty tissue and other items. Not your usual standards Booths - we’ve previously been to Kirby Lonsdale, Windermere and Kendal and regularly go to the cafe at Booths Garstang and have always been delighted with the hygiene and food, we won’t be returning to Clitheroe Booths.

We have used pizza house for years! We won’t be using them again!! The pizza base has got so thin now it’s a joke! Hardly any tomato base and was overcooked! They seem to have changed the doner meat too, as this was tasteless in comparison to what we used to get. We unfortunately agree with a past review and will be using Pizza Tops instead!
