Had a meal on the day of new menu-disappointed that there was no choice for plain food except fish and chips!-no Scampi-no Chicken-please relook at this for plain eaters! Beef was tough in parts and the new potatoes with the fish were hard and bland! The duck was amazing as was the Eton Mess-so please please look at putting chicken on your menu -also have a mains salmon that’s not smoked!-on the whole lovely food as always-just needs a few tweeks!

They've got a good range of quality ales, lagers etc, clean, nice seating and great atmosphere, with very friendly staff and good service. They don't serve food other than quality bar snacks, but there's an excellent chippy next door.... Highly recommended 👍

Popped in for a quick Chip Barm... hit the spot perfectly after being parked on the M6 for an hour! Fresh, Hot chips, and nice soft, buttered barm. Lovely.

Stopped here for some food during a long drive. The atmosphere was amazing, an extremely cozy place to sit with lovely decor. The service was excellent and attentive and the food was also amazing. I would highly recommend this place for a lovely and reasonably priced dinner.

I have visited many times and it is always brilliant

Although we are not local we were visiting the area and decided to have lunch having pre-booked, recommended at busy times of the year. As a first time visitor we found the premises welcoming and staff all very pleasant. Even though it was very busy the service was just at the right pace. Our starters were peppered mushrooms & vegetable gyoza's - both were very enjoyable. As mains we had braised Ox liver (my wife said the best she had ever had!) and Penang Vegetable Curry - a not too hot Thai-style curry. The menu said rice and nan although the side dish looked more like a chapati than nan but was still very enjoyable. The guest beer I had ordered ran out just at the wrong time (for me) but that aside everything was superb. There was also a festive menu but we decided to go with the standard menu. With it being busy we were only allocated the table from 12.15pm to 13.40pm which was fine for two courses but would have been too short with a desert and coffee. Definitely visit again next time we are in the area.

Lovely Pie and chips in a great pub setting, food was delicious and at a good price. We will definitely be returning!

Last visit wasn’t great, pleased to report much improved this time round. Special chow mein was really good, massive portion & plenty of meat / prawns. The spring rolls are massive & very good too.

Another well established family business embedded in the community. They supply and serve home grown and quality local produce, the majority of which you won't find in supermarkets. They already use and sell Revive Beetroot, Turmeric and Ginger products.
