It was just amazing. The staff where friendly, bubbly, and inviting. Even though it was raining the views where still beautiful. And the food was outstanding. We had the mother's day afternoon tea. It was really busy and non of the staff looked flustered, they worked really well together and could see they all really got on. Just a lovely place. Highly recommend.

Fabulous Mother's Day (on the Saturday) afternoon tea with six of us at the Look Out! It's got to be one of the best, if not the best afternoon tea in the area. This was a Mother's Day special, but I suspect any day there you will get rewarded with a quality, well presented and enjoyable food experience. Everything was delicious, and was served with quality fries and a mini soup. All the staff were outstanding: attentive, smiling and kind - it made us very comfortable. The gluten free part didn't feel at all diminished, and overall I can highly recommend this place. Lovely spacious view outside, too. Being Mother's Day, the cakes and decor were very thoughtful, creative and go above and beyond, making it well worth the little extra in price you do pay. Thank you to the owners and staff!

Very nice place with lovely staff,the only small niggle is that we thought the quality of bread used for sandwiches was poor,for the price paid I would have hoped for a good quality artisan bread.

Amazing tasting fresh food and definitely the best afternoon tea I’ve ever had!!!!!! I’ve been visiting here for a few years now and always loved it, since the new owners have taken over I was curious if it would be just as good………well I’ve been twice this month and the food is even BETTER!!!! The food is absolutely delicious and I love the afternoon tea hot selection (came out super hot) of soup, fries, sausage roll and cheese frittata, along with the rest of the afternoon tea of sandwiches, scones, cakes, meringue and cheese cake! 2 hot drinks included and easy to order off the usual menu for any other drinks with no issue. Hot drinks, soft drink and alcoholic drinks were available. They were very accommodating recently to a fussy request from one of us attending for afternoon tea and they got the order perfect. It has been beautifully redecorated and the staff have been friendly really polite and helpful. The surroundings are stunning, parking was no issue. There was a ramp and appeared to be easy access for those with prams/ wheelchairs etc. Well done to the new owners I cannot tell enough people about this place. I cannot wait to find an excuse to visit again!

Tried to order a full English breakfast, however, I don't like eggs. Asked if I could replace with extra mushrooms or tomatoes. Told this wasn't possible, could only have the breakfast without the egg. Asked if the price would, therefore, be reduced as I wasn't being given the 'full' breakfast. Waiter went off to check with Ben. Ben said no, pay full price or order something else from the menu! Disgusted! Left. Went straight to Light Ash Farm who know how to run a business. Not a problem for them.

I am never disappointed when I visit The Lookout café. Today I took my friend with our children, and the staff were so accommodating. The food arrived quickly, which was great as we had two hungry children with us! 😊 Our meals were lovely, hot and tasty. Will definitely visit again

We really enjoyed our Poke salad bowls with halloumi and avocado.

My family had a delicious meal at the lookout on Friday. I had the smash burger which was outstanding, the fries were fab too. My husband had the new fish and chips and he enjoyed it very much. The kids meal portion was very generous for my son and my daughter enjoyed her ham sandwich very much. It's in a beautiful location, the staff are friendly and it felt warm and inviting. Good selection of cakes for dessert and lovely ice cream. We were all very happy!!

Visited the Lookout for the first time today— Wow! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the food was just as impressive. I had the breakfast wrap, and it exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be back!

Celebrating a family birthday, we booked for afternoon tea. Stunning views from our table and such friendly and efficient service. Amazing experience, the afternoon tea was served with a delicious carrot and coriander soup followed by an incredible assortment, ranging from frittata to scones with clotted cream. Each piece beautifully presented, freshly handmade and tasting out of this world! Outstanding dining experience in a beautiful location. We’ll definitely be returning to explore the rest of the menu.

Very disappointed having used this place a few tes over the years. Very bland and tasteless

Looks lovely with a nice atmosphere and interior. Service was great as we were seated. We were then told at 1:45 that they were no longer serving food with no reason or explanation whatsoever. Really confusing. I felt extremely sorry for the young lad who was serving who had to come and tell us this. Obviously wasn't his fault! We decided to leave it. Why advertise a food service time if it cannot be met? Very disappointing to be sat down and have to get up and leave. Would be willing to give another try as the food looked lovely but just be aware that they may / may not be serving food!

Been a couple of time previously and know what to expect as it’s a lovely place and food (usually lunch) excellent. We tried breakfasts today for the first time and sadly it wasn’t as good as it should have been. Eggs hard on the three breakfasts and similarly the bacon so hard you couldn’t cut it properly. It felt as though they had been cooked and left on a heater. Same on all 3 breakfast we had ordered. The pancakes dish was excellent thankfully. Disappointing today.

Always been a family firm favourite and with the news of the new owners taking over we thought we come and try it out. Firstly it lovely to see the owners freshen the place up with some new colours and deco and has given the place a more fresh and modern feel. Food as always 10/10 and the presentation was by far the best we've experienced here. There were a group of us who dined and was all pleasantly pleased with the food and the service as usual. I'm sure we will be back again!

Massive disappointment having used this place for years shame they didn't make the effort or care about our luke warm food & lost order having had to ask we're are food was after 45mins then it came via a blast in microwave Never again . staff are nice having to deal with what comes out the kitchen . The menu speaks volumes jacket spuds @£10 or a sandwich isn't bistro style food

Came back here today as its under new ownership. It was NO disappointment! I had the egg, spinach & hummus sandwich & my husband had the Korean burger, they were both so tasty and full of flavour! We didn't have to wait long for our food or drink, which is always a bonus! Would highly recommend this place! It looked like it had been given some TLC, too, which made it feel a lot warmer, clean & inviting! Good luck to the new owners, we shall see you again soon as we will deffinatly be coming back!

We stumbled across this little place by accident and was pleasantly surprised, deco is very cosy, and homemade soup was delicious, just missing a slice of bread. The only thing I did notice was the staff going in/out of the toilets with their phones on a few occasions . In the short time we spent there . Afternoon tea looked fantastic 👌

Absolutely brilliant cafe, the food is not your average cafe food, would recommend if your in the area 😋

First visit recently with a family member. Booked a table in advance as the cafe can get busy around lunchtime. There is a large free car park outside. The cafe is all ground level with no steps. It is accessible by those with disabilities and also has separate disabled toilets inside. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. We ordered the platter - Trio of Fish and also the vegetarian Goats Cheese Tart. Both were well presented, very tasty and fresh. Drinks were either refrigerated and cool or made hot and fresh. The cafe has large windows, the views of fields, horse stables and paddock, also a field with alpacas. Where possible access the cafe via Longbridge as it is easy to find. If travelling via Broughton there are a number of long, winding country roads to navigate. All in all, we were very pleased and will return again.

First visit - despite using SatNav postcode, I couldn't initially find it, probably because the signage outside is not prominent enough and uses a thin font. However, glad I persisted as my tomato and chilli soup was outstanding and the accompanying granary bread also excellent. A lovely Eccles cake followed. Recommended for lunches on this evidence.

Our first visit for breakfast to this lovely cafe, the food and service was great we really enjoyed our breakfast. Lovely views and surroundings, we will be back and may even try an afternoon tea next time. Well worth a visit.

Amazing food. Staff are super friendly and polite and able to help with any questions. Some amazing views to take in from around the cafe along with Alpaca's and horses. Food is amazing. Ordered a full english which was served in good time and tasted amazing all locally sourced. Also really nice if you want to just turn up for a coffee and take in the views

Took my daughter out for lunch and visited here for the first time. The food was excellent as was the service. Its set in picturesque countryside and the only complaint was that the alpacas wouldn't lift their heads up when my daughter was trying to take their picture, camera shy or just fed up of the tourists is my guess.

One of the nicest cafes in the area. Get a window seat if you can for views over the countryside. Good food and friendly service.

A great place for a meal or coffee and cake, and it's licensed so beers, wines, gin, etc. I had a very tasty smoked haddock rarebit. Nice and bright with views across the farm and countryside. We loved the alpacas.

Attended a 60th birthday gathering. Lots of other celebrations happening around us, but service was very good. Food amazing.

Ate lunch today, and was very happy with my choice. I had the chicken club sandwich, which was huge and delicious. My husband had the look out burger 🍔 and he really enjoyed it too. First visit today, and I will most definitely return. Go visit, you won't be disappointed.

Beautifully presented food, fabulous views, somewhat sterile environment but overall you will not be disappointed. Prepare to pay £30 per head though for afternoon tea.

A fantastic find and one I will definitely return to. Fantastic scenery with Alpacas grazing in the next field and horses being trained and nurtured in the stables. Despite not booking we managed to get a table and it was extremely busy. I would recommend to book as every table was booked for later on. We both had a late brunch and it was delicious and very good value. Fresh locally sourced produce and as you can see from the picture you get a good plate full. We couldn't resist picking up a few homemade cakes as well. Recommended!

Beautiful location, large room with huge windows, beautiful decoration. Alpacas in the field next to the car park :) we had breakfast - one came out on the incorrect bread choice but this was recitified quickly when brought up with the staff member. All came out piping hot, fresh ingredients, didnt skimp on portion size either. We would 100% return

The food was very good and we had a great afternoon family get together. The cafe itself is large and possibly loses a bit of atmosphere by not feeling cosy. Still nice and bright though and would recommend.

The afternoon tea was awesome but the service was not didn't clear tables when finished soup which was disappointing x

Went today for a pit stop on the way back home. Was moderately busy and was worried as we couldn’t stay long, the waitress said this wasn’t busy for them so we sat down. Took around 10 mins for the drinks to arrive and we then waited another 30 mins on top for the food (only ordered a sandwich and a slice of cake). After that time it still hadn’t arrived and we had to leave so went to pay for the drinks as we couldn’t wait any longer. Manager came out as apparently we were ‘refusing to pay’, even though we never received the food. Manager then proceeded to angrily say it wasn’t a fast food mcdonalds and to pay for the drinks we had and leave! Very disappointed in the service will not return.

Fantastic afternoon tea with double tea or coffee. Venue pleasant & comfortable with a great view of the countryside. Staff friendly & accommodating. The two shetland ponies & alpacas in the field next to us added entertainment to our visit

Usually cycle here from Blackpool with friends, always feel welcome, great cafe, great food, brought my wife here in the car and she loved it, service excellent 👍

First time I've been here and the food is so nice and tasty. My Cappocino was lovely and hot and the service was just really nice. Its a calming atmosphere and it's really cute how you can look out and see the Alpacas. I had the Salmon and prawns with Asparagus and roast potatoes which was divine. The atmosphere is very calming in the cafe and the service provided is really good. Very approachable and friendly staff. It's a good Cafe to go to when you want to go and try somewhere different to eat.

Overpriced food that was ultimately below par. Service was okay staff smiled etc. No dogs allowed inside so had to sit out whilst being fully accosted by wasps, so much so we had to leave. Poor overall.

Absolutely amazing!! Very clean welcoming environment!! I took my mum for breakfast, we was seen straight away for drinks and the coffee was very nice! We both opted for the full English breakfast, the meats were lovely and the best black pudding I've ever had! Wasn't a long wait for the food either. Views were pleasent too! No negatives what so ever. We will definitely be back soon! Thank you xx

Very busy cafe in lovely countryside surroundings. Nice food, home cooked. Service was slow. Plenty of parking and clean toilets. Lovely ice cream too.

Gorgeous venue and accessible with wheelchair or pram. Spacious parking facilities. Very friendly staff and always happy to help. Delicious food that changes all the time. Child friendly too with lovely children’s menu and selection of high chairs. Clean and overall great changing facilities. Good space for prams and a very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. I would love to visit more often with all the family but we have a dog and no section indoors is dog friendly which is a shame (hence the 4/5 star review).

We had a lovely breakfast on Sunday. It was very busy and we hadn't booked and there was 4 adults and 2 children in our party. The girls was really helpful and went out of her way to squeeze us in which was greatly appreciated. We have visited numerous times and the food is always fab and the staff are really good. I would say this to the people who complain that they have to wait, they need to remember that freshly made and cooked food takes time to make. Its not like going through a drive through at McDonald's. So depending on how busy they are expect to wait, if you think you have been waiting too long politely enquire as to why that is? People are too impatient these days they need to chill out and look at the alpacas

Went for afternoon tea. The food was delightful very nice. Would definitely go back at a quieter time, staff where friendly enough although maybe a bit on the young side. Only negative too many tables, too noisy and unruly children running round. Think they need to take out a couple tables and space everyone out a bit as it was difficult to get past. A Lady had to get up and move her chair right out of the way for me to get past with a highchair. After being sat down at the wrong table. Staff didn't really have a good handle on what was going on. Food was spot on though.

Excellent afternoon tea today. Four of us all really enjoyed it. Not our first visit and won’t be our last.
