We were going to see friends who live in Trawden and they suggested we book in here for the night Friends booked us in for Sunday lunch The freindly welcome we received was excellent excellent The food was superb and then we checked into our room Absolutely spotless plenty of space and modern Breakfast was included and again did not disappoint All in all this was a great stay in a very friendly pub who did superb food We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend

Went to Ball Grove Park, Cafe owners really friendly and welcomed our Poodle in the cafe Food very good superb home made cake Nice atmosphere reasonable prices highly recommend

We came here after finding there was no longer a cafe in Wycoller country park. This is nearby and has parking outside. They do breakfast, jacket potatoes, hot and cold sandwiches, gorgeous cakes and ice cream. I had a mug of soup and half a sandwich, my friend a tuna special jacket potato. Both were lovely. Friendly staff, clean and bright surroundings. I’ve deducted a star only because it’s an echoey room and not ideal if you’re hard of hearing. Through a connecting door is a shop selling homeware, jewellery clothing and accessories. Some lovely things. I recommend both!

Had lunch, a party of 4, great service, given time to look over menu, choose fish dippers as nibbles, lovely light batter lovely fresh fish, only 2 ordered this but 4 enjoyed it, I had amazing cheese pie, partner lamb course, sister burger, b i l chicken breast, all we can say is absolutely fantastic, we did have to tweak menu for dietary needs but it was not a problem, and made us feel so welcome, Great staff great food

My first thoughts were how stunning the counters looked with all the fresh pies, salads, pastas & cakes…. The cakes and pies looked too good to eat! I opted for a coronation chicken salad sandwich, which consisted of all the salad ingredients even sliced egg! The lady cooking on the griddle was singing away to herself, all the staff were jolly and very friendly indeed their focus was 100% on me. Overall the customer experience was 10/10 my sandwich was off the scale very very tasty indeed, I will definitely be going back and I absolutely recommend. You would be a fool to miss this sandwich shop. It’s the best in the area.

We travel from Kent to visit family a couple of times a year and always make sure we visit this Chinese. The food is always hot, staff really friendly and the price is great.

We went for dinner at the black lane ends as a table of six and throughly enjoyed our experience. From the lovely members of staff who accommodated our needs to the delicious food it was lovely. We went due to the buy one get one free meal deal and it definitely made a huge difference to our bill even with the cheapest meal going free as per the terms and conditions. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again!

I went to the Alma and my server Jenny was the best offering the menu the food was delicious she was so welcoming and I can’t wait to go back

We arrived anticipated lunch with our daughter and son in law would be lovely. Pulling up the building looked beautiful and very festive. On arrival we sat waiting for our drinks order, nobody approached. Eventually we got the attention of a lovely waiter..he took our drinks order with a smile. After that things got laughable..we ordered food starters and main meals..starters arrived after around 20 mins..all okay. Main meals then took one hour 15 to arrive after chasing numerous times. On arrival it was inedible..cold and very disappointing. I asked to see the manager he apologised and said it was because he was on his break. The food was sent back and we were told that its the kitchen staff and it happens frequently..there would be no charge. I didn't ask for the no charge we would rather have a lovely lunch..the restaurant is really beautiful..but dear me the food looks like it was microwaved from Iceland..and that's flattering.
