Emmott Arms in Pendle

Visited today following a recommendation from a friend. What a great find. Superb and varied menu. Lunch menu such good value for money. Service spot on. Very nicely decorated and comfy chairs in the bar area. Beer garden out the back as well as front. Very generous portions. Will be back!

Ordered steak pie. Chips nearly broke my teeth. No one came to check if the meal was ok. Girl came over to collect the plates and I mentioned the chips to her and received a smile. Disappointing visit.

We came for Sunday roast and as always it didn't disappoint.We all had Lamb Henry .The whole dish was cooked to perfection .We would highly recommend a visit to the Emmott Arms for food and drinks The staff were all attentive to our needs .looking forward to our next visit

A nice modern environment with good service. Food was served piping hot, with sensibly sized portions. The pies were very good and the vegetables cooked well. The biggest negative was having a pool of single cream (over peas) next to a pool of gravy and pie. Quite odd! But I don’t want to be negative. It was a good night out in a good quality eatery which is quite rare these days. Look forward to going back.

Excellent service from start to finish and Ellie was particularly polite and helpful. We had a starter and main and everything was absolutely delicious and great quality. No complaints what so ever. Looking forward to coming again soon.

We have had a wonderful evening out at the Emmott Arms. We were a table of 9 and absolutely everyone really enjoyed their meal. We booked here due to the excellent feedback on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. The menu is reassuringly selective so you know you are getting proper home cooked food, not frozen meals. Worth every penny. Thank you to all.

Fantastic food with only one gripe...the portions are not consistent. I had the duck starter and there was barely any duck on the plate and could only fill (sparingly) 2 of the 4 pancakes. However, the lady on the table next to us had a massive pile of duck and had enough to eat after the pancakes had been filled. The main I had was the absolutely amazing Crispy Beef (highly recommend), however mine was twice the size of my friends sat next to me, which she wasn't happy about at all. Overall, the service is amazing and the food is out of this world and would definitely go back. Can't rate as anything less rhan excellent even with the above feedback.

Basic lunch menu. Plenty of choice providing you like meat and bread. Very quiet, only two tables occupied. Decor very basic, stone floors, hard chairs and no curtains. Staff polite and pleasant. Ok for a change but I wouldn’t made it a regular venue.

Managed to get a last-minute booking for Sunday lunch after being out walking. It was our first-time here and we were blown away...quite simply the best roast beef dinner we've ever had; great pint too. Also great choice of music in the background and at a perfect volume. Great food, drink, music in a proper pub. Thank you, we will be back.

Brilliant as always, food is absolute spot on. We’ve been several times over the past few weeks for the festive menu as the choice is brilliant. We often take our dog who is happy to sit near the fire.

Our 2nd visit within a month. This. Time I had the Beef n Reef. Beautiful beef and sweet scallops. My wife totally loved the Triple Beef. Got to say it looked lovely. What a gorgeous place to eat. Food is incredible, service is brilliant, staff are so nice. Can’t wait to return and the triple beef.

We booked at fairly short notice for a group of 8 for a family birthday, following a recommendation and we were not disappointed. The staff were amazing, friendly, polite and nothing was too much trouble. The food - wow!!!! Everyone in our party enjoyed everything they ordered. Good portions of well cooked delicious fresh food. Another lovely lunch here; great food, very friendly service and tasty dishes to suit most tastes. Lovely comfort food I had the beef & guiness suet pudding with delicious mash and sweet red cabbage. Tasty desserts too. Can highly recommend this pub for a lovely meal.

This is becoming one of our favourite places to eat. This is the third time I have visited in as many months. This time to eat off the lunch menu. Great starter of well cooked perfectly seasoned wood pigeon. Just slightly pink with a selection of mushrooms that had obviously been cooked in the same pan and absorbed so much flavour. A Sausage sandwich on home made ciabatta with blue cheese and chutney. Surprisingly the blue cheese was the star. An interesting combiation that will not be quickly forgotten. Good and cripsy fries too. For pudding Jam Roly Poly and what my Grandma would have called 'Proper Yellow Custard' This is not a dish for the feint hearted. Perhaps it is to the English Dessert Eater what Lava Bread is to the Welsh Breakfast or Haggis to a Scottish Dinner. It raises a Agincourt Salute to the modern fashion of light, palate cleansing sweets designed to refresh and enliven and leaves you dosing in a big chair and sleeping it off. Fantastic!

Passing on the way back from Skipton, fancied a Sunday roast and saw this was on Tripadvisor as highly rated so took a chance and glad we did. The tables were clean and service quick, a nice girl with blonde hair and braids served us and was very efficient. Our food arrived on large plates, not much of any one veg but it was surprisingly filling, the lamb was falling off the bone, gravy so rich and flavoursome, broccoli sweet and perfectly cooked, parsnips so sweet, the yorkshire was large and roasties crispy. Could have done with a little more mash and puree but it was nice and as I say very filling, the whole dish was an autumnal seasonal delight created with good ingredients and thought to create a rich and flavoursome dish.

Me and my partner visited on Saturday 23rd September for a last minute meal and were blown away by the food. We would have happily paid more for the quality that we got... Unreal! Can't wait to go back and try more of the amazing menu!

WOW! Came to the area for.my birthday, decided to come to this pub.. even with our 2 dogs the welcome was warming! Great atmosphere, great staff, & AMAZING FOOD!!!! Ordered steak, which usually I will avoid unless I know I'm guaranteed perfect! Well, just to say CHEERS CHEF!!!!!!! absolutely 💯% done to perfection! Had two lunches here and the last one I have to say was the best meal out I can remember: fantastic sea bass with chorizo and pea risotto. Living quite close I'm going to have to be careful not to keep going back too often

We came here for dinner as it was recommended by a friend. There was a couple of large parties celebrating birthdays when we arrived and it was super noisy but they soon left which was a blessing. The food was extremely good and a good mix on the menu between pub classics and an Asian inspired menu.
