Absolutely amazing food. Lovely staff, and food is not expensive. You can get alcohol if you wish. Lots of other stuff like cards gifts attached to the shop. But it's worth going. We go every week. it's the best 👌

Placed order for coffee and cake. Was only person in. Waited 10 minutes. Staff too busy talking to each other. Coffee was terrible cake dry. Poor service. Not pleasant.

The waitress was lovely unlike the eggs Benedict one egg wasn’t cooked through and the ham was waffer thin asked the waitress to tell the chef he didn’t even come out from the kitchen not good service .

Fantastic meal and had a ploughman’s very rare tasty also had a lovely shop attached Went to White Bear pub but was not serving food until 3 pm that’s no good

We went on Bank Holiday Monday. We ordered sandwiches. Which according to the menu was "served on fresh Bloomer Bread" After waiting around thirty minutes for the sandwiches to be brought to us. We were very disappointed to see that these sandwiches were infact served on normal wholemeal bread. The side salad was a tiny bowl of mixed leaves, the crisps, there was about six, and the coleslaw was in a small ramekin for all three of us. We also had a diet coke to drink. Which cost me over £33. It has obviously gone down hill since it changed hands. The previous owners (cafe) were lovely lady's who knew how to make a plate of sandwiches look really inviting and delicious. Rest assured we won't be visiting this place again. Thoroughly disappointed 😞

Had two visits today, the first I had Crumpet with bacon and melted cheese, later on we had tuna sandwich and BLT, superb in every way, great staff, great service and great food and coffee, will visit again without doubt, we love the Bistro 10/10

I was expecting much much more than what I got. It’s not exactly cheap for a start, and I wasn’t impressed with the service or the quality. Me and my friend took a seat and wasn’t seen to for 15 minutes after we sat down, I appreciate when places are busy but there was 3 people in. My friend paid £3.50 for a concentrated glass of orange juice and £5.75 for basic poached eggs on toast. Which when they were served only one egg was brought because the chef had ruined one and had to re fire. The chef brought out the second egg, tripped over herself on the way. And placed the egg on my friends plate with her bare hands. My £7.95 scrambled eggs and smoked salmon were absolutely basic. If establishments are going to up their prices to match the area then at least give your staff proper training to accommodate this. Won’t be returning

This is the best bistro beautiful food well presented lives up to good things come in small packages great soups and prawn open sandwich has to be eaten to be believed. Go once and you will want to go again. Super shop and bistro.

Had two prawn and salmon open sandwiches . With a cafetiere for two . Extremely weak coffee. No coffee in the bottom of the Cafetiere ,to stir to make it stronger not worth the money we paid . £31.40 , .

Popped in for late lunch in a cold wet day. Was very chilled, food was lovely ( corned beef hash ) coffee was great too ! Attached to a gift shop with lots of lovely things to buy and I did but something. A counter full of gorgeous chocolates although I resisted the temptation to buy ! A lovely lunch will visit again ( I live in the village so handy if I don’t want to cook ) …..which is often 😁

I met a friend here this afternoon for a drink and a chat. We sat in the window in the sunshine. I have Coeliac and lactose intolerance and although they had both chocolate brownies and caramel shortbread that were gluten free I could not eat them due to the dairy they contained. This really wasn't a problem to me but the owner was very apologetic and a short time afterwards came to our table with two gluten and dairy free Trek bars she had been and bought. How very kind of her! She asked that if anyone is going to visit and has dietary needs please would they contact them in advance so they can arrange to have something suitable.

Pleasant staff good coffee and dog friendly.

The chef was absolutely atrocious and complained about making scrambled eggs for a 3 year old even though there was nobody else in the restaurant. In addition the chef couldn’t get a tuna panini made in the hour and 15 minutes we were sat there waiting. The worse place I have ever visited in this area and although the waitress was absolutely lovely and had excellent customer service skills, the person inc barge of the kitchen/chef was utterly atrocious.

Called in at Bistro7 after a walk through Barrowford park...Had a lovely lunch, staff were lovely and very attentive...food was delicious and very well presented...would highly recommend.

Great coffee goid selection of cakes and a varied menu for lighter bites too can also have a browse the gift store which has some beautiful gifts and cards for any occasion would thoroughly recommend a visit

Friendly, with everything homemade, and a lovely ambience. Hard to find fault. Can also enjoy a sneaky wine. Homemade soups are always outstanding, and the scones are delicious. We have been regulars for a few years, and will continue to return. Other cafes/eaterys come and go in the village but Bistro 7 remains the enduring “place to go” for that little extra bit of quality and ambience. After your indulgence you can then meander through the attached Presentations gift shop - recently voted the best in the North West, further re enforcing the standards set by the owner. Keep up the great work, Andrea, Lisa and the team.

Visited with a friend for her birthday and enjoyed cream tea and cake, absolutely delicious and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly. On viewing the food arriving at tables we’ll certainly be back for lunch & wine ! Lovely gift shop attached and very affordable, well worth a visit

Called in this lovely little unique shop, that houses. not only gifts, cards,jewellery but a fantastic bistro. We only intended having coffee and a slice of homemade cake and went on to indulge ourselves in a glass of the house red wine ( delicious). Open everyday. Worth a visit. Staff super friendly

I've been here twice this week, both times with family members and we were happy with our food and the service. Six of us had lunch choosing a variety of sandwiches, soups and panini, various drinks and scones afterwards. I'd booked in advance and mentioned I have Coeliac and lactose intolerance. This wasn't a problem and they even made suitable scones specially for me! I was there again two days later with two family members just for drinks and cake/another free from scone for me. We were again happy with our drinks and treats.

Despite booking a table for 3 people that morning, no table was available. When we arrived, we stood at the counter waiting for some time and eventually someone spoke to us. Explained had a table booked but clearly not expecting us as no table ready. Owner checked in book and said it was crossed out and asked when booked! Explained that morning and had rung back to confirm I had given correct time - which I had! Despite owner being there , no idea how to sort even though tables could have been moved. We said we would be ok at small table. Luckily a table with 2 people offered to move from their slightly bigger table. Once seated had to ask for menu. Ordered and after 40 + minutes had to ask where meal was as others who had ordered after us were served. We heard a bell and guessed our meal but but owner came out and started cleaning tables. When we asked she said it was ready and coming out. She blamed another member of staff saying they hadn't put order into kitchen. She had however ignored the bell and was clearing tables even though she could have brought out. Despite being a regular customer will be reluctant to visit again, especially if owner is in as have had other experiences when she has been in with inefficient service. If regular staff and young girls in at weekend tend to get much better service. Need to tighten up act as will lose customers, especially with new venues opening up.

We visit Bistro 7 every week with two friends whenever possible. We do so for several reasons, the staff and the food. The staff always are obliging, especially with our somewhat varied requests. They are pleasant and we enjoy a chat with them if the bistro is quiet enough to do so. Clearly at their busy times we just order and appreciate that they do their utmost to serve customers quickly. The ladies who work there are the only ones in this type of establishment to be able to make EXCELLENT coffee, not the horrible instant type that is just a press button machine. The food there is delicious. As a group we vary quite a lot in what we chose to eat and we have found nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Their cakes are great and it’s always a difficult decision to chose each week. I think the carrot cake is just to die for. All in all we cannot recommend Bistro 7 too highly. We have many friends in the village who are of the same opinion as us. We wish the ladies every success in the award they have been shortlisted for in London. DO visit them to show your support for the local business and whilst you are there nip through and look at the superb range of greetings cards and items for sale.

Best coffee place in east Lancashire. Friendly atmosphere and staff give excellent customer service. Didn’t have to wait long for food.

Great food Pannis and lovely shop for gifts

Twice I've seen this place be rude to JustEat drivers for no reason. If your food is late or cold, it isn't the drivers fault - the restaurant just cannot handle being busy and takes it out on everyone else.

Busy well organised cafe in this busy little place. Complete with well stocked gift shop.

Nice food but the constant banging was awful for our elderly relatives that we took.

Very rude staff. Visited today whilst hiking with our rescue dog. Entered and asked if they allowed dogs inside. Strangely asked what sort of dog I had! and then said sit there in the corner and she was busy dealing with something in the back! Felt very unwelcome. After a while she returned to take our order with another staff member in tow! The dog was very scared and began barking. They asked us to leave due to him barking at them. He is very nervous and obviously picked up the hostility. We promptly left!!!

The customer service is excellent. The food is very good however only take outs at the moment. The gift shop is really lovely, quirky ideas for presents for all ages. There is a brilliant choice of cards for all occasions. The Staff are helpful, chatty. Lydia x

A pleasant little bistro in the heart of Barrowford,we like to sit in the window across from the park,the staff are really friendly and make you feel comfortable,the food is good quality and freshly made to order the wait can sometimes be a little tiring the prices are reasonable.

£6 foe 2 americanos, and not even good coffee.

A welcoming and friendly Bistro - the older Lancashire stone exterior belies the modern and classy interior - with a breakfast menu till 11.30 (11 on Saturdays) and an afternoon meal menu. Both are reasonably priced with an attractive range of traditional and more nouveau items. The staff are accommodating and the food came quickly in case you’re in a rush. Accessibility for people with limited abilities as the way in is up steps from the street.

We have visited Bistro 7 many times. The food is always very tasty and well cooked. The staff are pleasant and the general ambience is perfect.

Cute little bistro, friendly and attentive staff. Freshly made food with fresh ingredients. Reasonable price. We had just had a cuppa in boundary mill and my nana was saying how awful it was and how you can never get a decent cuppa when your out. She was very impressed with Bistro7's Irish tea. Loose leaf in a glass teapot. Nice quiet atmosphere. She can be a tough woman to please, but she raved about the panini she got!

Good service and good food nice friendly staff

Love this little bistro. They make the best toasted bacon sandwich ever. Frothy cappucinos are delicious and our granddaughter loved her babycino topped with marshmallows.

Went here for a bite on a miserable rainy day. We went for the traditional bacon butty, and a sandwich. Very good bacon and the sandwich was excellent. The salad and garnish made the sandwich something else. Give it a try, I hope you won't be disappointed.

Nice place but puzzlingly it's always quiet.

This place yoyos in terms of rating. Sometimes good but last visit terrible. £17 for two panini's cold and only partly cooked through and coffees. Won't be going back for a while which is a shame as sometimes it is much better but too inconsistent.

This bistro is located within a gift shop in the village. The young staff are excellent, friendly and efficient. good coffees and a wide range of home made cakes.

Went to another place in Barrowford,but at ten thirty, it was not yet open Why? Called in at Bistro 7,just for a brew. Wish I had had some food, it looked and smelled great! Lovely little place,well patronised. The staff were attentive and pleasant. Will report back when I have sampled the food. This maybe the place to be.

Lovely small bistro for occasions or small parties

Great little cafe very quaint. We had afternoon tea lots of delightful finger sandwiches with various fillings and homemade cakes and scone with fresh cream and jam, with a large pot of tea. £20 for two. Everywhere was very clean including the toilet individual fabric hand towels which was a lovely touch. It’s connected to a gift shop and card shop not sure if it’s wheelchair accessible, steps into the cafe.

Lovely meal with loads of choice of sweet items but not much in savory meals. If you want coffee and a cake this place is perfect but not ideal for a good wholesome lunch perhaps.

Visited twice this last week. Late lunch and then Breakfast. Top quality food and service. Friendly staff willing to go that extra mile to accommodate requests. They even allowed us to store our bikes in the rear yard during our visit. Highly recommended.

A cold, wet day in the school holidays, we needed to cheer ourselves up and called in to Bistro 7. More of a cafe bar, quite small and dimly lit, it wouldn't normally be my first choice of venue with children. But as a special treat, Bistro 7 is lovely. We shared a portion of Malteser Tray Bake, and enjoyed Special Chocolate milkshakes - Mint choc, Chocolate orange and Crunchie! Yummy! Several different coffees, special teas and alcoholic beverages are also available along with home made cakes, snacks and afternoon teas. Friendly service, too.

Visité por primera vez y no nos decepcionó un menú limitado, desayunos y una variedad de sándwiches, etc. Sopa casera era precioso. Buena oferta de sándwiches y una pequeña sopa ensalada 7. Que pena que no es 50 abierta por la noche volvía a un gran vino y bar de cócteles

Ayer visité Bistro 7 (Sábado 13 de mayo) con mi hija. Fue un lugar poco pare para almorzar y tomar un café. Sólo ligeras disponibles (que es exactamente lo que queríamos) así que nos decidimos por la sopa de zanahoria preciosa, zumo de naranja y un café descafeinado con leche. Fue muy agradable, como se muestra en la imagen. En conjunto, la cuenta fue de casi 15 libras, lo cual no está mal, pero tampoco es genial. Mi hija disfrutó mucho la sopa, luego descubrir que era los propietarios receta especial. Hay también un tipo de tienda de artesanía junto al bar al que es genial tener un sonido alrededor. Estoy seguro de que volveremos a visitar el bistro 7 nuevo, Barrowford es un lugar encantador.

Food was lovely. The Hot chocolate was definitely worth the calories. Staff friendly.However the service for the food was slow.... I think they had just experienced a mad rush.. and this had a knock on effect. We would definitely try this place again, hopefully with a quicker service.And... it's a must to try the Lemon cake.

We visited last week and had a great lunch the paninis are really very good and the young girls are very polite and really know what they are doing. Our lunch was however nearly ruined by the rude older women i presume the manager or superviour. She is so rude towards the other girls it just seems so unnessary it is not the first time i have been in and seen or heard her upsetting the other staff the poor girl looked ready to cry. Great place but someone needs to have a word...

We have been regular visitors for coffees, and the odd lunch for a couple of years, and it has always been excellent. However, today's visit was spoilt by a groaning/whining dog in the bistro. If this is your cup of tea (no pun intended) then fair enough,but they have just lost 2 previously very loyal customers. The food is excellent, and there is a high class card/gift shop joined on, but for us, the smell and noise from a groaning dog was just too much!

I regularly meet a good friend here for a catch up of news and the pleasure of an excellent coffee. Furthermore there is an excellent card and gift shop attached. They can make one of the best coffees in the area and I am told the cakes are delicious. I'm trying to lose weight which is why I have reluctantly not indulged but my friend always has her little treat. Staff are very pleasant and are very patient with our specific coffee requests. Meal menus look very interesting.On one occasion a little, well behaved dog was allowed to sit under a table next to the door. As a dog owner myself this is great to know.

Quick, excellent friendly service. lovely shop integrated into the restaurant. Had a green tea which was perfect. Food excellent. All in all a very nice relaxing experience.

I found this cafe by accident on my way through Barrowford a couple of years ago and stopped again on my latest trip to the area. Very good sandwiches and coffee and reasonable prices - so much better than all of the other alternatives in Nelson and Barrowford.Took my Mum who was also impressed by the choice of food and the quality and value for money. Very highly recommended. Park in the pay and display across the street from the White Bear pub

WHAT A GREAT FIND! A true little gem. Great atmosphere, designed with flair, excellent service, good position being on the main Gisburn Road and overlooking the park. Plenty going on outside to browse while having a coffee and bustling with activity.Check out their website for their opening hours because they open daytime and then Friday and Saturday NIGHTS as well. If you like tea rooms you iwll love this. Small and cosy inside, good choice of music depending upon your taste. Call in for a coffee to check it out, or try one of their delicious cakes or scones. Soups, salads, panninis, sandwiches, specials board and more. The ideal place to chill out and have a chat over coffee or whatever your choice may be. It is not a formal restaurant, it is a relaxed and casual cosy bistro with lots of charm. Try it, but don't expect steak and chips type food.

My second visit and I will be going back. We enjoyed coffees this time but have been for soup and it was really substantial. Would highly recommend this place for meeting up with friends... might have to try it out one evening!

Been for brunches,lunches and evening. All food was really good and staff (young gentlemen) are always attentive and courteous. Bistro 7 isn't always peoples' first choice in the village which is a pity as I personally think it's the best.
