The best restaurants in Didsbury East Manchester North West

This place is the definition of hit and miss. Personally, my experience was a miss. The calamari was served kinda cold without lemon, my red wine was served fridge temp, the rest of the food was wayyyy too salty, and the staff were disinterested and a bit snooty. Other friends have said they had a nice time here and had good food so it seems like it's just not a consistent operation.

One of our favourite cafes. Cheap, tasty, good portion size. Can’t go wrong with cow cafe!

Absolutely lovely service this afternoon! Visited circa 5pm, Charlotte served us and is a ray of sunshine & the iced coffees she made us were 10/10 😄

Terrible meal- We dined at 3:30pm on a Saturday with the restaurant almost empty, yet it still took them 40mins to take our order and 1hr 20 for it to arrive. The food that was edible was average, the remainder was cold. The Chateaubriand for which they charge £70 was so cold the ‘famous’ butter couldn’t even melt, yet somehow the vegetables underneath were over cooked and soggy. Portions of chips didn’t arrive till we chased them half way through our meal, we found a hair in the children’s meatballs, the list goes on. To top it off when we tried to share this with the manager he didn’t allow us to share the issues, instead cutting us off midway to insincerely apologise. Then calling us rude when we continued to share our frustration, simply trying to finish what we were saying. Honestly the food and service was bad but the managers handling of the situation was the truly dreadful outcome. I do not recommend if they continue to operate like this. This restaurant is not cheap, there are countless other options that are infinitely better for the price point. One thing to note is that eating at the Gusto in Cheadle has always been a pleasurable experience and I do not wish to tar them with the same brush.

Don’t waste your time and petrol, very disappointing! Visited on two separate occasions and it was closed. Needs hours changed or removed off maps.

Although the staff are lovely the men is basic and too expensive based on what you get. We ordered a cake which was stale and just not very good, even our coffee was watery considering we are paying £3 for a drink it was just disappointing. I am pleased they have a children's play area, but the main draw to the building when it is open for me and my two children is the toilet facilities, I am sorry you are not open at sensible times.

Charged more than £12 for two cups of ice cream in Chorlton. Complained that the same amount, in another Casa Italia location, costed much less. The owner then tried to get funny, started making remarks about pistacchio being more expensive, and was not able to communicate clearly the price. Similar thing happened for a take-away portion of tiramisu - extortionate prices. ps there's no way to contact you via email, which I would have done as I think the Chortlon manager is taking advantage of people; so I'm leaving a review here.

Fast, friendly service and great quality food! Reasonably priced too. It's cash and collection only, but it's worth it! Peking House has been our family's go-to Chinese for years. We can highly recommend their chicken fu yung, chicken in Peking sauce, sweet and sour chicken, BBQ spare ribs, and salt and pepper chips.

Fabulous curry with lovely and welcoming staff. Will be returning!

Door staff last night made inappropriate remarks about a 17 year old girl walking past

Easter Sunday Lunch! WOW! We arrived and it was so busy but I let the staff know we were here and was getting a drink as a bit early, we got a table outside. The outdoor area is lovely and although busy there was a really good vibe about the place. They came and found us and took us to our table. There was live music on which gave a lovely atmosphere to the place and the decor is gorgeous. The staff were lovely explaining the specials but also the roast Lamb as it’s Easter. ( bloody gorgeous) The food was delicious and we didn’t wait long for our starters which we were surprised at as so busy. Our mains were spot on the best Sunday roast we have ever eaten in a restaurant! and the potions were like you get at home. Plenty of meat, loads of veggies which come separate and they brought extra gravy without us asking always a bonus for my family. Deserts went down very well with the teenagers too. Portion sizes and the quality of food was outstanding and the fact they were extremely busy the staff were friendly and helpful. Ordering drinks at the table arrived quickly 👌 The total bill for 6 of us with beers, soft drinks , coffee and a bottle wine was very reasonable. Safe to say I think this place will become a regular of ours. Well done to all that was working yesterday 👏

Delivery fine but food was inedible. Biryani so hot couldn’t finish a mouthful. Why chilli in a biryani?

I love this place, it’s the best place in Didsbury, service is fantastic and the food equally as good. Deffo a place to visit
