Best curry I’ve ever had and great staff, Kayleigh was brilliant thank you!

Came here a week ago and the food, service, atmosphere & hospitality was 10/10. Hadn't been out for an Indian for a while & was the best sit - in Indian I have had - would definitley reccommend for everyone to go down and try!

Food was delicious. Very flavoursome. Will be back.

Not been in here for about 30+ years. This is one of the holy trinity that is still open, the Khandoker, the Phool Bag and the Kushen Koly. To be honest I wasn't expecting much, but the food was excellent. There are not many places where the lamb melts in your mouth, it does on here, and the menu is superb. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous food, everyone was delicious and came hot! There was nothing I could have requested for improvements. I have tasted many Indian restaurants and this was by far the most fresh tasting.

Absolutely amazing food! How they acheive such wonderful flavours throughout their food, is a testament to the talents of the chef. The staff are lovely too, so it's a win win if you eat here, and you really should! The portion sizes are larger than expected, especially for the prices.

My favourite curry I've had in Manchester. We had the takeaway and were blown away. We had chicken korma and a lamb makoni and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. Ate it in complete silence 🤤 we sat in the restaurant another time, and it was equally delicious . The waitress was so friendly and nice and we felt very comfortable

Check your bill before paying! We were scammed. Celebrated New Year’s Eve here with friends and ended up waiting over 2 hours for our main course. Whenever we asked for help from the waiters and waitresses, we were told to wait a minute and then no one came back. Complained to staff and received money off our bill, only to find out later that they had overcharged us by nearly £80 anyway! Food was lovely but not worth it.

Added around 25% to our bill for no reason

The food was lovely here with generous portions, staff very polite and attentive and it was good value. Overall can definitely recommend a visit thank you.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC SERVICE and BEAUTIFUL FOOD .The staff are extremely nice and help full . The value for money is excellent. There is also ample parking at the side of the building. THANK YOU TO THE STAFF.

Probably the best Indian restaurant in Manchester. The varied menu caterers for all tastes, and the food is lovely. Recommend.

Worst restaurant ever. Rude staff. Food cold. Curry full of grease. I didn't pay. Got up and told them they'll be getting a visit from a food standards officer.

Another fantastic meal , weve eaten here 5 or 6 times now and the food is so nice, the staff are brilliant and really friendly. Highly recommend

My wife and I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The staff were attentive but not overbearing and the food was incredibly moorish and well priced. Will definitely be returning.

We've been there a few times, never had any problems, food really nice, however last time we went, a little old Indian guy was quite rude and impatient, he also tried to charge four of us £130 for our meal (which wasn't as nice as previous meals we've had) we didn't even have drinks! I'm convinced we were ripped off. Never again will we step foot in that place. Also, one of the staff was renting house out, when my friend went to view it it was 'absolutely filthy and disgusting' she couldn't wait to get out. And that's member of STAFF !!!!!

Ordered takeaway from here tonight all the way to Offerton. Food was really tasty, portions were good and we all enjoyed it. Would definitely order from here again.

Really good food! Have had madras and butter chicken here plenty of times. Best butter chicken ever. Both chicken and lamb are very tender. Don’t go to the one next door which is their takeaway counterpart - for some reason the taste is not even comparable despite being owned by the same family. Never sat down but the staff are always nice and chatty when I get a takeout. Please could we lower the prices a bit for takeaway? 😁

This place is the worst food Ive actually hate out of took 1 fork full and left the my main course and complained so did my wife they charged full price as complained the food was terrible and we left the mains avoid at all cost terrible staff

Just got back from an evening meal at Khandoker tonight and we thoroughly enjoyed every bit of our food. The Madras was just the right amount of spice and the onion bhajis were delicious and crispy!!! Everything was full of flavour 😊

Called in spontaneously after a trip to the cinema. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated straight away. Service was excellent throughout our visit, food was fresh, delicious & good portions. This was our first visit, and we will definitely be returning.

We visited tonight with my husbands cousin and aunt. Absolutely brilliant. Good service, the most amazing food....so tasty and fresh.......just lovely......we will be visiting again ASAP.

*Apparently this is the takeaway not the restaurant!* The restaurant is actually really good! The takeaway is a different matter entirely. The worst kind of BIR curry. More oil than sauce, literally inches deep in oil. Even the onion bhaji in the mixed grill was thick with grease. Avoid. A waste of money.

Not been here since the 80s. Food was amazing and served with great care and attention. Won’t be leaving it so long next time! I’m not local but will definitely travel to come here again

Never use the delivery service, 1 hour late and ordered 3 hours ago. No help from the restaurant as to why the delivery driver had driven past my area to deliver to another area. More planning needs to be done on routes and for when the orders were placed as to order of delivery. Food stone cold and won’t use again

Cold food service was below standard

Ordered once a week for the last few weeks now and all times really consistent! Have to say this is the best massala around town, so flavoursome and in depth! All the sides and sundries are lovely too! Definitely recommend

Absolutely love this place. We order take away from the restaurant often and it never disappoints. The food is always cooked fresh and is super tasty. They do all the vegetable sides so well! (Actually difficult to find an Indian restaurant that still does all of these as sides). Such good value for money and staff are always friendly. Would highly recommend.

We ordered a takeout as was highly recommended by friends. Sadly order was stone cold, poppadoms tasted of old oil, bhajis however were lovely after being warmed up in the oven, and sadly the curry was the worst curry we've ever had, the chicken was tough as old boots and the sauce bland. Just never again, what a waste of £30.

I went with a couple of work colleagues. We have been trying out many different Indian restaurants in the south Manchester area for several years. This time it was the turn of khandoker. The food was spot in. I had lamb Naga and the lamb was meat not fatty at all and the Naga had some decent heat to it, unlike a lot of other places. The onion rice was great, and I could have eaten that on its own. As is usua with these jaunts, we were there early doors on a Wednesday and the restaurant wasn't busy, so difficult to comment on the service, but what we had was good and very friendly. I will certainly go back there again, and one of the colleagues has family in the area and has recommended khandoker to them. Overall a good evening well spent.

Bought a lamb dupiaza and it was completely flavourless. The Garlic naan I bought to go with it had more about it. Won't be back.

I've been using the Knandoker for many years. Love the Chicken Korma.

Ordered and they forgot the rice, waited nearly 2 hours, curry didn’t have any meat in when I asked for a lamb madras, chips was stone cold and tasted reheated, how dumb can you be to get a simple order wrong? There IQ score is 12 and that’s between them. Nothing but rude down the phone.

Genuinely couldn’t fault it! Quite probably due to how late it was and school holidays . Service was good, food was top notch, couldn’t fault it!

Absolutely delicious and very authentic

Poor Indian food. Dhansak flavour was good but tiny amount of veg, and swimming in grease. Naan was weird and not cooked in the middle. I wouldn't go again. I've had worse but not by much..

We arrived just as they were closing, (4 of us)We were asked by Ali, if we would like a takeaway instead, we didn't really want a takeaway and we're delighted when Ali said we could eat. Ali is lively, he was fun and jocular, made us feel at home. The food, a byriani, rogan josh, korma and chicken omelette with chips and salad, was perfect. The atmosphere was nice and alcohol is served here too, a bonus. Highly recommend Khandker Restaurant. Open till 10pm Monday to Saturday and 9pm on Sunday THANK YOU for serving us.

Ordered food on uber and payment and confirmation received but khandoker cancelled order after nearly 30mins after I made my initial order. Poor service. If you can’t provide a service then please don’t offer it. I could have ordered a curry from somewhere else but they have now closed for the night. Not happy! This place use to be so good but it’s going downhill big time!!

The ladies toilets had no doors that work and had to be held while in use as they swung back open if not held. The food order took a long time to arrive, granted there were many of us, but it still took a little longer than I have experienced elsewhere with the same group of people. Customer service was good, none of the orders were missed, and servers friendly and polite.

I've been going to Khandoker for 13 years. The last four or five times I've promised I won't go back for a variety of reasons. But after last night, that's it. We went in as a table or two at 18:30. We waited 1 hr and 20 minutes for our food to arrive due to a big take away order. We were over charged by more than £10 (we were in a rush and only noticed this morning) and we were - as always - sold flat fizzy drinks from a big bottle. £2.95 for that. Just never going back. I like the young lad in there, we've been going for more than a decade but no more.

Ordered fish madras and chicken madras was delivered. We are pescatarians and do not eat meat. Only realised after taking a bite. Rang to ask for new dish to be delivered and they refused and hung up. Awful. Will not order again.

Cold unwelcoming restaurant. Food was disgusting. Staff are awful. Came here twenty years ago and it was bad then. Now even worse. Felt like being in prison.

Went in at 22:18... supposedly open to 11pm... said they were closed before I had even looked at the menu. Hadn't spoken, just looked at me and said they're closed...

Good food, service very good and a lively atmosphere.

This has been one of our go-to indian restaurants since 1998 which shows how good we think the food is. My only gripe this time was that 3 of us nipped in for a quick meal, and a 15% (not obviously itemised or optional) service charge was added on. We thought that really cheeky so asked for it to be removed from the bill.

Quick service and good add generousy portioned curries and naan.

Popped in a few weeks ago, as we had won a voucher in a local raffle. The food was fantastic, and the staff could not have been more helpful, without being overly attentive. Thanks for a great meal!

Ali , served excellent on the Thursday 25th of August . Food excellent , we came as a party regularly, attending this restaurant. The food was simply gorgeous, and the service , excellent . The manager is very hospitable, exc customer service . We will ditch West Didsbury , curry houses , for Khandoker , always . Please stay , with us, as the food is superb , exc parking and local to East Dids , residents . Again Ally , and all team , excellent .

Very very disappointed we had a table booked for 7:15 pm it took them 25 minutes just to ask us about a drink and bring some poppadoms then the starter took another 40 minutes and by the time they brought the main course it was 9 pm and the rice looks like it just come out of the microwave The chips were not crispy they were lukewarm and a chicken tikka Buna didn’t look that good the portion size was very small for £10.95 and the small onions inside it were not cooked properly so we just walked out and didn’t touch the main courses and the other thing was they didn’t even bring the numb bread with the main courses I think they just took too much on they had some sort of gathering upstairs but they catered for so overall I think it’s probably just a bad night if they had less people upstairs and less people in the restaurant it just looks cramped and two sets of diners decided to walk out also hope they make things better
