The Lawn Club in Manchester

The worst experience and service in Manchester. Despite having a booking we were refused entry due to being 'a group of lads.' This was the only reason the door staff could give and could not expand any further on this. When asked to speak to a manager he said it is on the booking policy. Where? I asked him to show me, he was 'too busy.' We have attended as a group of men to the lawn club and always had a pleasant and enjoyable experience. It felt we were turned away due to the venue being overbooked and our gender was used as a pitiful excuse. The reverse sexism at play here is wrong. This turn of events ruined the flow and enjoyment of our night out. Would we have been turned away of you had not been busy? Would we have been turned away as a group of 10 women? The worst service in Manchester I have ever experienced. We were told by the door staff as a group of lads we wouldn't get in anywhere in Manchester but everywhere else we booked was accommodating with exceptional service. Perhaps poor management and incompetence was the issue. I would not recommend lawn club to anyone, a business that can honour bookings is not a business I would wish to use again. Also the rude and unhelpful staff display a drop in quality service from what was once an exceptional venue.

The Lawn Club is one of those places that just makes you feel relaxed. We had great drinks here while lounging in one of their outdoor areas – such a fun vibe! It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a sunny day and unwind with friends.

Generic overpriced Spinningfields bar, seems to be popular with shrieking groups of women drinking cheap prosecco and lads with bad haircuts from the nearby offices who talk exclusively in management language.

Nikki looked after us during our Bottomless Brunch and. Whole experience was amazing, absolutely no complaints and highly recommend

Exceptional service by Halle, popped in for a quick bite to eat and cocktails before our theatre trip to watch Burlesque. Atmosphere was fantastic, all staff were very friendly and welcoming! Would highly recommend!!

Went for a private corporate event. Atmosphere was fun upbeat and enjoyable. I would love to host a party here. The city centre location was easy to access. I arrived by Uber so I'm not sure about parking.

One of my fav places to choose for going out. Music can get loud, party etc, but also good for a relaxed drink, good for match days too ⚽️

One member of staff offered us another drink just as another asked us to leave the table. We were offered a table outside just as the doorman told us we weren't allowed outside, and the service was slow but not as slow as last time so it was an improvement I guess

I’ve held events at The Lawn Club on multiple occasions, and have always been impressed by the service. The team are really helpful, whether for a group or 20 or a large private hire. They provide a strong service, whilst the food on offer is really good quality. The General Manager (Ian) is really personable and provides a great Hands On experience for you all the time. A great location in Spinningfields, a brilliant place to be every day of the week.

Chloe is a star, she was so helpful and welcoming. And the aesthetics of this venue was stellar. We had a lovely time and it’s very reasonably priced for a 90 minute bottomless brunch with food.

This was a complementary meal after a small issue the time before, a payment error which they corrected immediately. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was really lovely. I had the pizza my husband had the loaded chips. Really happy with the taste.

I am absolutely gutted because I can't find the names i wrote down of the waitress staff on the day we had bottomless brunch, last Friday at 12.30 was the shift.. these ladies was amazing, friendly, made sure we was always topped up, had great recommendations of drinks, very knowledgeable and the foooood. Wow. Best weve had for a bottomless brunch. Thanks for an enjoyable experience, aesthetic foods and fresh tasty cocktails.

Excellent service in a beautiful setting. We were served by Nikki who was very attentive and so lovely, and kept the drinks flowing at the bottomless brunch. The food was also delicious, would recommend the Mac and cheese balls and wings!

The place looks lovely aesthetically. Frasier (hope I’m spelling that right) was serving us and he’s the best staff ever. Made it such a fun and funny experience. All staff were great overall. The food and drink of course is brilliant also. Also, we picked the bottomless brunch option and one thing about this place that not all places do often is that they give you multiple drinks at a time. This can be an issue in other places because you might want a drink during the time slot you have booked but you can’t find staff/don’t want to bother staff members. Overall, Frasier is the man, and go to the Lawn Club!

A very nice bar near the Ivy Restaurant. It is a hybrid indoor and outdoor space so can accommodate all weathers. A good selection of drinks at the bar and prompt service.

Our host was Hollie-Codie always back and fourth for taking our drink orders and making sure everything was ok with our visit lovely girl !

We booked a bottomless brunch with NIKKI and it was fabulous. We have UNLIMITED drinks and multiple at a time which was amazing! Non of that finish your drink before ordering another! We have a few bottles of Prosecco for the table and a jug of cocktail all at once! Nikki was super polite and amazing and we couldn’t recommend enough. Thanks so much 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Your go-to place for those indecisive or new in manny. Great atmosphere, perfect for any weather, love it more for summer. A large screen to show popular sporting events. Pro tip: Perfect for a first date (not weekends or peak days)😉

Way too loud for an afternoon food and drink session. Fiord quality was average, staff forgot several courses without apologies. Perfect place if you book a hen do though

Didn't have the drink I ordered, then gave me the wrong replacement drink. Served us dirty plates that we had to point out to have replaced. In the Sunday roast we ordered, the chicken was extremely dry, the roast potatoes were over cooked and the vegetables undercooked. When I went to the bathroom a memeber of staff came in and used the urinal and didn't wash his hands afterwards. All round a bad experience.

Get the party started earlier. This place was loud and dancey from early. Younger crowd. Nice feel.

Our girls bottomless brunch...was amazing value for money and our waitress was incredible. One of the best ones I've been to. The food was great and very filling! However- NOW the brunches they offer are nothing like before and they've changed the menu choices. We went back in May 2024 & the price had increased by £10 & the menu was very limited which is disappointing :( the pizza didnt have alot of taste to it, however we still enjoyed our day/had another great waitress. So would still recommend it for a Bottomless brunch.

Great place to watch sports! We watched the Euros here as they have a big outdoor screen and indoor screens too. The vibe is so nice with all the plants and lights. It's more of a drinks spot, but they have food too. The chilli chips and halloumi were tasty. Highly recommend!

All the team here are super friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much for them! Loved Ian and his team and will definitely be back again. Gluten free options available too! Saturday vibes with good 00s bangers from the dj to get you in the mood. Bottomless brunch well worth it

⚠️There does exist a place worse than Manchester airport after all - for that you deserve 👏🏻 Fraudulent, aggressive, lying people Location and set up decent but means nothing with “management” like that (bar and door staff no probs)

Would not recommend watching the Euros at The Lawn Club, £25 a head plus additional drinks. Internet to be on dial up, 2 hour wait for food and drinks (warm beer), table for 7 people get a pitcher of 4 pints to drink over the hour. Poorly organised for an event where they knew the numbers. Avoid. More security than bar staff

Paid £120 for our table in advance only to wait nearly 2 hours before the drinks and food as part of the package were served. Complained multiple times only to be told ‘it’s busy’. Massively under prepared for the Euros but will quickly take your money and book you in. Won’t be coming back in a hurry!

Fun place, great for big groups. Friendly staff and great sharing selection for food. Highly recommended

Food was not what we expected, seen loads of lovely photos on social media with a nice pink beef on the roast so was really looking forward to the roast. Waited a while for the food, beef was the toughest beef I have ever tasted with about a mouthful of it if that and food was minimal and stone cold.. only thing that was hot was the cauliflower cheese and potatoes were lukewarm. Strawberry daiquiri was lovely, nice for drinks but wouldn’t come back based on the food

We had excellent experience. We visited to see screening for Champions league final. We were well assisted by Janay. She ensured we got out orders on timely manner and ensured we could get dinner served at our table. Really appreciate her work. We are looking forward to visit again. This is an amazing place to chill in Manchester.
