Mis amigos y yo hemos estado aquí en algunas ocasiones a lo largo de los años. La comida y la estética del lugar en el interior son realmente maravillosos, sin embargo, a menudo parece haber un grupo de hombres sentados afuera fumando y realmente nos deja parar. Nos encantaría sentarnos afuera a comer - es un lugar soleado privilegiado, pero cada bocado está aromatizado con mucho humo de cigarrillo y es solo un poco de área. Si te sientas adentro, el humo sale adentro cada vez que se abre la puerta. Me encanta su comida y parecen dedicados a proporcionar un gran servicio en general, solo preferiría que mi comida no estuviera aromatizada con cigarrillos.

Great staff and such amazing food. We got the dips trio with the melted cheese pot (forgot the name!) and bread to start, the beef cannoli spinach and ricotta ravioli with nut sauce for main. Soooo good!!

This place is ABSOLUTELY stunning. The atmosphere is incredible and the food is amazing. Prices are very reasonable. I've had the best tiramisu ever and it was alcohol free. I will visit again soon. It is definitely worth the 50mile round trio!

We went for my mum’s birthday last night and had a great time, the blonde Italian waitress really made it special and treated my mum like a queen , food was lovely and tasted authentic Italian , I’m excited to go back

authentic italian cooking took me back to my time in italy. Clean flavours and obviously made with great technique. Perfectly al dente ravioli in a very delicious sauce, though the wild boar filling was dissapointingly mushy and lacking flavours. Understandably wild boar is hard to cook with. Will come back to try their simpler dishes.

I wasn't sure if this place would be good, but as I entered, I felt like I'm in Italy. Italian speaking place with Italian produce and Italian flavours and scents. We ordered the bread and olive oil. That was just like in Italy! The sausage was equally great. The tomato Bruschetta was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Then for main we order a cannelloni and a lasagne. Both were top notch. In short, I highly recommend. Take into consideration that a tip is only cash.

This afternoon I went to casa italia and I ordered two hot chocolate. I already know this place, and as soon as I entered no greeting, no one seat you in the table, all the tables are creammed each other and the lady seated us in a small table where I was tight with someone sitting behind me, but very close to me that I barely move. So I moved to another table myself. The hot chocolate came and it was good, but not too good as the Italian hot chocolate must to be tick and the hot chocolate I had was pale and milky, but the taste was good. The price for two hot chocolate was exaggerate 8 pounds. No customer service at all, no prices displayed in the items they sell and all the tables were dirty. It is a small place. It is not difficult clean 4 small tables and if you do this job, you must have a good customer service. I work in a restaurant and I know very well the job. This was my third time in domus italia and things hasn't change. I won't come back

Food was delicious, drinks very expensive.

Had lunch here recently, couple of reasons for the poor rating: - Service was poor, basically ignored for the whole meal. - Ordered pasta, was clear it had been microwaved as not heated through properly. Whilst the deli items looked good, would not go back given the lunch experience.

As regular customers we were extremely disappointed this evening with the lack of service and atmosphere which was non existent We had to approach the counter to ask for the wine & to order food, we had to ask the waitress twice for a jug of water & for the salt & pepper We were the only 2 customers but had to wait nearly an hour for our food The staff were sullen and disinterested, completely lacking in customer service skills, Very disappointing

Went for a quick stop to have some tiramisu and beers and they had ran out of tiramisu… we stayed for some beers and then the manager brought out a freshly made tiramisu for us… lovely gesture and really friendly staff, highly recommend 🥰 x

Absolute rip-off. Ordered the ravioli, which, given it cost £15, I expected to be a decent portion. They gave me 5 tiny ravioli. When the waitress asked if everything was OK, I mentioned the tiny portion. She mumbled something about the fact that they “weigh” the pasta, which did not explain anything, said she’d tell the manager, then walked off.

Very odd service. It’s a shame cause I really enjoyed this place. It’s a hit or miss. The waiters seemed extremely inexperienced. My pasta was sweet?? Tasted like a desert. Avoid the pistachio dish.

Domus Italia was wonderful! It was my first time in this restaurant this evening for my girlfriend’s birthday. The food was delicious, the wine was fantastic, and they even brought out a special birthday tiramisu for my girlfriend :-) I look forward to coming back, and I will recommend this place to everyone! The staff, Ashraf, Melissa, and Sharon, were all incredibly friendly and accommodating, too! :-)

Food was great, service a little slow but it was the first nice weekend, so lots of people out enjoying the sunshine.Will be back.

Lovely atmosphere and we were excited to try this restaurant after wanting to dine here for some time. Unfortunately the pasta was swimming in oil - we were unable to finish the meal and felt sick after eating. We have traveled through Italy and Sardinia and felt the food served here was a let down to the authentic cuisine.

Recently, we have noticed that the quality of food served is not what it used to be. Coffees and sweets are still very good but unfortunately not the food. It's a shame as we loved this place and it was a good place to go for a small meal and a drink. Now there are many new staff and perhaps some training and tasting of what is served is needed. It's a very recent change, so I guess there is a reason for that the management needs to look into.

Loud Italian pop music and waiters who half listen to what you ask for! But, great coffee, excellent selection of Italian food products and nice outdoor area with canopy in case of rain.

The food is great. The man who makes the coffee is nice, but the young woman's customer service is the worst. ruin everything. I don't understand why she works in the service industry.

Una hora libre rara en Didsbury, almuerzo tardío. Me regalé el Antipasti, un capuchino y unos biscotti. Dale en el blanco. Me encanta este lugar. Si el servicio depende de quién sirve, el ambiente y la comida están listos. Siempre veo gente que me gusta allí, el café y el delicatessen son geniales. Es uno de los lugares favoritos de la zona y el más Didsbury.

Independent Italian offering flavoursome food. Infussy setting, like sitting in a deli but has charm. Well worth a visit.

I love this place! I come here whenever I can - breakfast, lunch or dinner. For breakfast I had fresh croissants with pistachio cream and cappuccino - to die for!! I'm Italian and I felt like in Italy again. For dinner I had "pasta della nonna" (with pancetta and pistacchio) and it was one of the best dishes I ever tried! Excellent pasta al ragù as well, and the tiramisù was delicious (my partner said it was the best one he has ever had). Fantastic place - a little gem. I can't wait to come back!

Food was great, wine was lovely, but the service was absolutely none existent. Asked for dessert but it’s as if they just forgot we asked for dessert as soon as they walked away from the table. After 20 minutes of waiting we just paid and left. It wasn’t busy either, when I went to pay the staff were stood chatting/on their phones. We were there for nearly two hours and all we had was a glass of wine and a main course. Shame because the food was lovely.

Little Italian cafe with grocery store. Decor is nice, food is tasty but in small portion (lasagna). Need to ask a few times for a glass of tap water.

Lovely cosy cafe and shop with beautiful produce. Loved the coffee ice-cream but the pesto in my pasta was way too creamy. And there was nearly more pesto than actual pasta. Otherwise very nice

Main course turned up, warm in parts and stone cold in others. I took my meal inside to the counter and asked for it to be given a minute in the microwave as my partners food had arrived and we wanted to eat together. Nothing after a couple of minutes, or five or 10.. Over 10 minutes later a madly bubbling meal came out. We had some food left over, so asked for it to be put into one box to take away. The waitress said one box? I said yes. She didn’t do that. They obviously know best.. balsamic vinegar was exceptionally good..

Love, love, love this place! Food is always amazing. It's really good to go if you just want coffee too. The shop inside is amazing too and has so much!

I bought a pack of paccheri di gragnano and was very disappointed because the pasta crumbled during cooking, then I got some really good Milanese salami and asiago cheese.

Went for tea time and it's such a cute little Italy cafe, really friendly staff. I would definitely recommend it. Really nice food and reasonably priced. They have some really good food and drink options.

Had a meal there with my mum and partner. Very warm and cosy atmosphere, we all said we briefly forgot we were in England. The staff were incredible, lovely and welcoming and the food was delicious. The tiramisu is the best I have ever had. I can’t recommend it enough. Can’t wait to return!

I come here regularly and I love the authentic vibe, they have great staff here and lovely food too. A great place for a date night if you’re looking for ideas. I would also suggest doing your food and wine shop here as it is the real deal!

I was recommended to come to this restaurant by a family member and I called to try and book a reservation. The lady who answered the phone was extremely rude and when asking for a reservation I was abruptly told “no” and when I when I asked for the next available time to make a reservation, the lady put the phone down on me. This is embarrassingly poor customer treatment and if I were the owner of the restaurant, I would be formally disciplining the employee for poor performance. 0/10.

There was quite a wait for our order to be served and when it was it was cold in the middle. There was no problem sending it back to be heated up but by then I had lost my appetite. Some of the staff are friendly but I can't say that about them all. It does get a fair few customers popping in for coffees.

Come to taste Italy. I recommend it to everybody!!!!

Simplu fantastic - fabulous food

Absolutely one of my favourite Italian restaurants! Not too big, friendly and helpful staff cooking authentic Italian food. They have changing specials but I can’t resist the Bruschetta Pomodoro… it’s the best I’ve had outside of Italy ❤️🤍💚 there’s a deli too so you can pick up your fave authentic bits to take home. Love this place

Having had a disappointing experience here in the past, we thought we’d try again in the hope that it had improved. The problems we encountered last time – unfriendly, almost hostile staff, hadn’t changed, so we left. I find it incredibly odd for hospitality staff to be so unpleasant to customers. I see that other reviews have also complained of this attitude.

Been a couple of times now, brilliant atmosphere, amazing staff, lovely interior, great food and drinks. My new favourite place. A must visit in Didsbury!

Have wanted to try here for months. Finally popped in on a Friday evening… quickly sat down by friendly staff. The deli platter for 1 was more than enough for two people. We got two pastas which were also really good! Will definitely be going back again soon!

This is a lovely little place very cosy, feels very italian with italian staff and guest's too which gives it a lovely atmosphere..wine was excellent! Service? Mixed.. asked for the bill twice 2 separate waitresses and it didn't arrive so had to go to the till.to pay although the staff we're all pleasant.. my bus was really late and I was hungry so I ordered cheese plate which was Frankly awful..4 cheeses 3 of which tasted almost identical, without bread or bread sticks /crackers ..just a bit of rather sad dry salad and a bit if Chutney which was overpowering.. expensive for what it was but would go again but only for coffee wine.

A wonderful gem! We went out for a ladies late lunch. There were 3 of us, we shared a mixture of starters- ( mixed olives, melted cheese with bread and an antipasti plate) - we had a main each ( beef ravioli, porcini ravioli and aubergine mezalin(?))- and a dessert each ( a cannoli, tiramisu and an affogato).... All the food was DELICIOUS!! All the wait staff were super sweet and helpful. The wine was really good but my coffee was perfect!!! I can see that we will become regulars!

Have tried both pasta and pizza here and they never disappoint. Personal favourite is the spinach and ricotta tortellini. It's worth ordering the salad as a starter if there are more than two people to share. Very friendly staff.

Went to the restaurant walk-in on Sunday noon just to order their desert. Recommend to order their Tiramissu & Cannolo. Def would try their main lunch/dinner me u next time.

A great place for lunch, we each enjoyed a lovely pizza slice with a side of salad and roasted potatoes. Beautifully presented and good value, and great service.

Not really sure what these recent reviews are about. I’ve had nothing but wonderful authentic Italian food (some of the best in Manchester may I add) and the service has always excellent. It can get busy. Which is a good sign in my Opinion but never have I had a bad experience with the staff. In fact they are wonderfully attentive and hard working. I recommend the pistachio croissant on a morning, the altamura sour dough bruschetta unreal and all the food in general is outstanding. Great wine, great coffee and all very authentic which I love:

Amazing authentic Italian food. I come here at least twice a week for lunch, can’t get enough! We often have big family & friend parties too and they’re always happy to accommodate any size and dietary requirement. However it’s The staff that make this place. Always so friendly and up for a good time. Remember to finish with a shot of lemoncello!

We went there for dinner with some friends and a baby. They were polite to accommodate us in with the Pram. The meatballs were very yammy would definitely go again. I had the last slice of pizza of the day was a bit dry and dull but it was the last one.

Delicious, well seasoned fresh pasta dishes, parmagiana and sides and beautiful desserts such as Nonnas cake with tasty gelato. Tasty piping hot coffee and flavoursome apricot juice. Such a warm friendly welcome and service provided by the blonde Italian lady. Lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Not been since before the pandemic through no fault of my own. It was really good and I realised how much I'd missed it. The highlight of the last couple of weeks. I definitely won't leave it so long next time.

This is a lovely mini- chain of Italian delicatessens in South Manchester. Staff are efficient and friendly, and you can practice your Italian on them, if you feel confident enough 😉 Eat in food options are top notch. But it's not a cheap place.

Different smaller menu than that shown online. 2 of us had decided from the online menu. Not on offer in reality. Food we did have was tasty and well cooked.

The restaurant and the staff were lovely. Had bruschetta for starters, in a few different ways, they were well nice. The consensus of all the mains was that it tasted a little bland, lacking in proper seasoning. However, we finished on a high, as the desserts (tiramisu in particular) were good.

Visited with my teen daughter.She had had a hospital procedure that morning so went for brunch as a treat before returning to school that afternoon. The food was good but the lady serving was extremely grumpy with us which was very off putting. The place was empty so there was no need for this We had been previously and the service was excellent so this was a surprise to be treated like this today.

A lush place run by really genuine people. The food and wine are delicious and the staff are super friendly. I ordered the melted cheese and crosini dish, it was sublime!!!! I had the rose and that was amazing . A strong 9 out of 10.
