Pizza Express - First Street in Manchester

Driver stated delivered but we never received our food.

the order was not delivered. he just left.

Good said delivered- I didn’t receive my order. Delivery driver wouldn’t answer my messages.

Always really friendly staff with excellent service. We get the carbonara pizza which was taken off the menu but they’re happy to make accommodations. Our server was Magda, and she has waited our tables a few times and always been lovely.

For a long time, I have come to Pizza Express at First Street between work and a concert in the evenings. It has very good food — pizza of course — and staff are very attentive. Especially Magda is outstanding, noticing immediately those occasions when I am short of time — then the food will arrive quickly (and also the bill and payment are quick), or on other occasions leaving me the time to finish the wine before bringing the coffee. I’ll be back…

We come here often, Magda always warmly greets us and she has memorised our favourite meals too! We always get the same cos we love it! Magda has helped us with a few odd requests over the year, she's very friendly and helpful! The restaurant is clean and their isn't a long wait for food either ☺️ Also the app is very worth it. We save a LOT of money by being gold members.

Always love visiting this branch. The food, as always, is delicious. I must say, though, Magda gives exceptional service. She’s attentive, friendly and definitely a reason to keep coming back.

pizza and doughballs completely cold and took 40 mins longer than advertised.

Standard American-style pizza. They forgot our order, asked several times, we had to wait over an hour for our pizzas. However, at the time of the bill, a generous 50% discount was applied. Not trivial!

Pizza and dough balls were both completely cold. garlic butter looked weird and lumpy and didn’t taste right.

Complete wrong order, had to call 4 times and customer service were less than bothered/ apologetic.

We had a great time, food was excellent, staff were amazing, very attentive without being intrusive, they also helped us with the app! Overall a great time was had by all! 😄

Vegan pizza was good. Went for a massive fundraising work event. They accommodated 100 of us so well, all staff super friendly. Can’t have been easy for them. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience.

The service was ok; however, the food wasn't as good as I remember it. I'm not too sure if the kitchen staff has changed, but the pizza wasn't the best quality this time around, nor our salads.

Came in with my wife, the service was very friendly and food was excellent. We will be back.

What a lovely place to go and eat, I’ve been here a good few times and each time I am blown away with how good the food is and service. I think the managers name is Anthony if I’m right, and honestly that man is so lovely and such a great boss, the way he speaks to the staff is so lovely and you can tell the place has a lovely work feel environment to it. I never write reviews but I just had to go out of my way because the service was so lovely today!

DO NOT buy takeaway. I don't know if the whole kitchen staff have quit or what, but in recent months this place has gone down hill. The pizza is tasteless, badly cooked and literally gave me indigestion. Perhaps sit-in customers the restaurant get the well cooked stuff, but takeaway customers get garbage.

The food was ok at best I had the la rein it was soggy from the cheese not being cooked all the way through I think for the price it wasn’t worth it the customer service was ok but not the greatest

Been here multiple occasions now, and had nothing but the perfect experience every time. Always welcomed, always take time to ask me how my food is and if any drinks need re filling. Came for my 21st birthday and had the most perfect night with balloons and cake. From the kitchen staff to front of house nothing but professional and up to standard. BRILLIANT with my son , got crayons and activities to meet any age and a good kids menu

Always such a lovely atmosphere at First Street Pizza Express. We were served by Magda this time who was lovely and very helpful. She recommended the Christmas Feast pizza which I’ve not tried before and it was fab! Magda and the rest of the team went above and beyond to accommodate all our needs even though the restaurant was quite busy. Definitely coming back again

Awful cold food, and tasted like cardboard

I WAS GREETED BY RATTRAPS!!! I was very excited to dine here but my dreams were quickly crushed. As soon as I entered this ‘restaurant’ I was greeted with rat traps. I understood why there were rat traps as the floor was covered in food and general rubbish. Nightmare! My server Magda was very rude and she didn’t even offer me a second drink with my main. What happened to customer service? The food also was disappointing. When i bit into my pizza I expected a nice hot mouthful but instead it felt like i bit into an ice cube. Half of the pizza was also burnt. Not worth the price at all! I do not recommend in the slightest.

Had the best experience at Pizza Express first street in Manchester recently. I have been to a quite a few different Pizza Express locations but the service me and my friends received at First Street was fab! Our waitress Libby was so lovely and welcoming and was happy to cater to any of our needs. The service was really quick and the atmosphere was really enjoyable which made for an all round really positive experience.

Our lovely waitress Libby took great care of us and was very patient helping us take full advantage of our rewards etc on the app. The pizzas really are excellent here with not too thick crusts and plenty of toppings. Excellent all round.
