Had a fantastic dinner here tonight, and our waiter Josh truly made the experience. He was friendly, attentive, and knew the menu well. His timing was perfect, and he made us feel genuinely taken care of without being overbearing. Service like that is hard to come by — Josh is a standout!

First time at this lovely restaurant, the service was great, the atmosphere was lively, but the portions leave a lot to be desired. Ordered the 3 meat lasagne, but the portion was so small, it actually looked like a children's portion !!! Very dissatisfied with the amount of food for the price !!!. Overall nice place, but wouldn't order the same option from the menu

We were a party of 20 people & most except 2 children were on the bottomless brunch package. The food was excellent but more so the excellent service from the team. Nothing was too much trouble. Josh especially was looking after us & is a credit to the restaurant. He was so attentive & made sure we were happy with everything at every step. Update: since they replied on here, we got in touch and they invited us back over. My friends were a bit skeptical but actually really enjoyed their meal. The quality of food was so different from Christmas, they said that they have changed their mind about Gusto and would consider going back with their partners. Summary: When me and two of my friends went for festive lunch in December, we were served the worst Christmas lunch we have ever had. We wrote to say how disappointed we were afterwards on 15th December and they never even responded. Photo: the main dish in the photo is untouched. It came like this. Details: For the last 20 years, me and my uni friends have festive lunch every year in December. I’m in charge of finding restaurants that serve Christmas lunch that’s reasonable and tasty. This year, I chose Gusto because I’ve been here before and they have been okay. Two of my friends had starter. Chicken pate and mushroom bruschetta. Both bread was so stale, they couldn’t chew them. I tried both and we even struggled to tear it because it was that stale. We all ordered turkey for the main. The carrots were completely raw and we got the tiniest amount of gravy. When I asked if they had more gravy, the waiter said yes sure, and brought us a small pot of extra gravy. When we went to pay, we found that they charged us £2 extra and we weren’t even told that would cost extra. To make this worse, when we booked, the menu they had online said £31.95 for three courses (2024 price) yet when we got to the restaurant, the same menu had increased yo £38.95. My friends are normally not the type to complain but they asked me to write in to say how disappointed they were. I wrote to them on 15th December and they never even replied. I was already disappointed in the whole experience but their service was normally pretty good so I expected to hear back at least so I was even more disappointed. This put us so bad that we probably won’t go here again. Like I said, their Italian food is normally ok but there are plenty of other Italian restaurants that serve better quality pasta and pizza.

I went for the bottomless brunch and the food was really bad. I ordered the sea bass and it was very bland no seasoning. The brunch itself the cocktails were watery ended up just sticking to Prosecco. The only good thing is the waitress Elena was amazing! Such excellent customer service!

Just what we wanted, a nice easy, tasty meal before seeing a show in a place with a good atmosphere where we could enjoy each other’s company. Vegetarian options were good. Excellent service from Mia helped the enjoyment of our evening.

Great service . Restaurant just over half full when we arrived but very loud. Wouldn’t really want to dine when it’s full as I feel the noise level will be the point you can’t hear your fellow diners

Wonderful night at Gusto Manchester! Thank you to our lovely waitress Holly who was super attentive and helpful. The food was outstanding - we shared Arancini and Dough Petals to start then had Rib Eye steak with truffles fries and Risotto Milanese for main, which were both fantastic! For desert we had Sticky Toffee Pudding a Pistachio Cannoli, which finished the meal off perfectly! Would 100% recommend.

Came here for dinner. Quick service, beautiful cocktails, however the food was not upto standard. Beautifully presented but the crab pasta didn't taste of ANYTHING. I added salt and lemon but again, there was no flavour. Ended up having half of my partners pizza, which was nice but again very bland. Pasta wasn't cheap at £18. Had high expectations for visiting, may return but not in a hurry.

Overall a very nice place, but I would say prices are a bit too high for the portion sizes and quality. I had the Carbonara which I found was too salty and this made it difficult for the other flavours to shine through. (The meat was also salty). There is half a portion of the brownie in the picture which was nice, but again I would say £8 is a bit too much for the whole portion.

I visited in February and it was very delicious and the service was friendly. Thank you again.

My favourite restaurant in Manchester by far. We chose this for a company meal in the middle of a trade show. Food great as always and Davide's service was nothing short of exceptional.

Really lovely restaurant, food was lacklustre though; the fresh egg pasta was lovely and the crab was fresh but the bisque was watery and there was barely on my plate. The lemon slice was also a bit clunky. The calamari was a bit chewy, the breading was falling off of the squid and soggy when it arrived. Lovely service though, it was a great atmosphere, but for the price I expected more!

It was our first time here and we loved the food and venue that much that we will definitely go again when in Manchester. We went at 5.30pm on a Thursday so don't know how busy it gets later on or weekends but the service was friendly and we were served with more than enough time to get to the 7pm show at the Palace theatre .

We had a lovely meal - the chateaubriand and sticky toffee pudding were stand outs. Service from josh was superb and made the evening even more enjoyable. Thank you!
