The best restaurants in Woolton Liverpool North West

Found this via a Google search of nearby takeaways whilst in Liverpool. The food was great and I will definitely visit again when in the area.

A nice place for a sandwich or breakfast, after you have done your shopping. Clean and staff are friendly.

Food was ok but more expensive than other Greek restaurants in Liverpool. Cash only which is unusual in these modern times too. The biggest off put was the unnatural odour in the restaurant. Smelt like plug in air fresheners but apparently not. Must be the chemicals in the carpet cleaner they use. They do not have plug in air fresheners apparently. What's that plug in air freshener doing in the vestibule as you enter then? Stank of smokers there as we were leaving too. Smell was terrible. They need to get rid and if they think there is an odour that needs masking solve the issue another way.

This review is so overdue , so apologies to the owners of this superb establishment. Ian & I (Laura) went here to celebrate my birthday on 9th September 2024 (our second visit to Liverpool). We wanted to find a family run authentic Greek restaurant, so we researched the best Greek restaurants in Liverpool & read the reviews. We had a wonderful experience from this lovey couple. The food was home made & we ate morsel of food on our plate; we had PSITO-KLEFTIKO Lamb on the bone slowly oven cooked in tomatoes & herbs & for dessert; Baklava. The Desserts are homemade via his wife, who gave me a slice of Bakewell Tart for my birthday to take with us. We also met a lovely couple who sat next to us; they were regulars , their nephew lived in Greece. Please send them our regards when they are in next. We shall definitely, be returning to this superb restaurant, upon our next visit to Liverpool.

Great beers friendly staff good atmosphere

Best pub in Gateacre. Straight forward beer drinking place with excellent garden.

You know the meal is that good when your husband to be is content , the soup of the day (lentil and veg) and thick bread was a perfect starter to the meal, my husband to be had the pork selino and he said he had never had pork so tender, my chicken arhrodite was out of this world, we just wish we had taken a picture before we started, because once we did, we couldn't stop eating. The dessert was homemade and words can't do it justice, 10 of 10

Been coming to nourish for a while now with friends or with my partner, food if always unreal breakfast and lunch, Staff our always amazing and accommodating.

First visit and it was absolutely fantastic, great food great service and good price. The waiter was lovely ( sorry no name) and he treated the trick and treaters really lovely and friendly. Highly recommended.

Very nice staff and cheap drinks

A decent curry place, been back a few times delivery driver is a nice guy. Prices are reasonable for an indian, the mushroom pilau rice portions are good Prefer the peshawari nans a bit sweeter/more coconutty, one time my chicken (in a madras) was just a little dry, chicken in the other dish was perfect. But only minor nitpicks to explain the 4/5 rather than 5/5. An 8.5/10 Im my own scoring system. Best curry you can get delivered in my area.

Nice pub good food good ale no faults

Very short staffed before 9am. I come twice weekly before work and have waited upto 25 minutes in the queue. Many people end up leaving the queue and the wait is too long and too much to handle for 1 staff member… who isn’t the jolliest of a morning and even tells people ‘if you are in a hurry I suggest you don’t wait’.

Went in after visiting St.Mary's Church and Community Hall were Paul & John originally met as I was famished after aa long walk from John's Grave in Allerton. Was not Greeted Warmly as acted as though they could not care less if I was there or not. I took note that they were doing such Attitude with their other Customers. When I asked about connecting to their WiFi Signal and the MaitrèD insisted on taking my Cell Phone away from me to register the PW himself. There no chance of him getting my Cell Phone away from me as I do not Trust anyone with my Cell Phone. The Food did eventually come.and 24Hrs later, I am having difficult Intestinal Problems which has the Smell of the soggy Parsnips that came along with the Beef Gravy Pie I ate. Thus I am amending my Review to only One Star! :(
