Best pub in Gateacre. Straight forward beer drinking place with excellent garden.

Had heard this place had one of the best beer gardens, but it really isn't anything to shout home about. Pub inside is quite small, and the beer and cider selection was disappointing.

Great little pub with a nice atmosphere. not a place to go for real ales. Has a large outdoor seating area.

Really nice beer garden, enjoyed a sunny Friday afternoon here.

Quiet for a Thursday night. Good selection of beers. Didn't go out into beer garden although it is nice, just not warm enough.

From the outside the Brown Cow looks no different from your ordinary run of the mill pub, but this is very deceiving. If you walk through the pub to the beer garden you would be very surprised. It's massive, it's a lot bigger than the actual pub itself and it's very well done. They've built booths down one wall that can give you seclusion or sit in the middle to work on your suntan. The staff are very friendly and there is a good range of drinks. Well worth a visit just to see the beer garden.

Great pub, lots of fun. Local vibe with great live music over the weekend. Very clean and good atmosphere. No food, it's a good knees up kind of place!

Best beer garden for miles around

Friendly welcoming pub with a good selection of beers and lagers. The beer garden is large sun trap with seating either in sun or shade. A visit to this original pub is a must.

Waited forever to be served ,barstaff kept serving regular customers even though we were at the bar way before them ,wouldn't waste your time unless you go in there regularly.

Ok for a drink but not the same as it was years ago maybe because I am getting on!

Always plenty of customers, it's a very busy venue which has live music entertainment each time we have visited the pub.

Excellent venue for a few drinks, no food available however. Brilliant beer garden out the back

Lovely place now, but unfortunately when it gets a bit busy, unable to provide a good service. Not the staffs fault, they work hard, but the bar is to small to accommodate the amount of staff. Went in there tonight, and was told could be up to 15 minute wait to be served. Fine on a quiet week night, but one to avoid on a weekend.
