What a night, 11 of us including the kids The friendly welcome and the service was brilliant and the atmosphere was great The food selection was great and most of us had something different Which we all enjoyed Can not recommend this restaurant enough If you want proper Greek food and service Go No where else

We had an amazing dinner at Lefteris Greek Restaurant and the restaurant was amazing and very welcoming.The food was impeccable delicious and very well served. The music was fun and playful and the atmosphere was convivial and inviting. We will certainly be back at Lefteris Greek Restaurant.

Ordered a takeaway from here and it ruined my evening. Total rubbish. Crappy pitta bread that you would buy in a supermarket. Rubbish rice. Tough meat. Very VERY expensive. Just rubbish.

We had a fantastic evening at Lefteris Greek Taverna! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a cozy night out. The food was incredible—authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. This review is so overdue , so apologies to the owners of this superb establishment. Ian & I (Laura) went here to celebrate my birthday on 9th September 2024 (our second visit to Liverpool). We wanted to find a family run authentic Greek restaurant, so we researched the best Greek restaurants in Liverpool & read the reviews. We had a wonderful experience from this lovey couple. The food was home made & we ate morsel of food on our plate; we had PSITO-KLEFTIKO Lamb on the bone slowly oven cooked in tomatoes & herbs & for dessert; Baklava. The Desserts are homemade via his wife, who gave me a slice of Bakewell Tart for my birthday to take with us. We also met a lovely couple who sat next to us; they were regulars , their nephew lived in Greece. Please send them our regards when they are in next. We shall definitely, be returning to this superb restaurant, upon our next visit to Liverpool.

We’ve had lovely meal at Lefteris’s this evening. My chicken kebab was beautifully cooked - crispy and tasty on the outside but still moist and soft inside, so often you get dry tough meat on a kebab, so this was a treat. My husbands garlic prawns were delicious. Friendly and efficient staff. Reasonable prices. A lovely evening out.

Tasty butterbean starter. Moussaka - very mediocre, reminded me of school dinners. Spanakopita - was it reheated in a microwave? Pastry seemed like it. Chips and rice - seemed a little odd together? Complementary portion of cake - a nice touch. They seem to have loyal customers from the diners around us, so maybe things can be better.

Fabulous food, drink & atmosphere. The home made dessert was delicious decent portions of food also

Amazing meal with friends on father's day. We are not local but have visited many times while staying with friends. This occasion did not disappoint. Really nice welcome and excellent service. The food was as good as ever and we will visit again next time we are in Liverpool.

We had a wonderful celebration of the Orthodox Easter in Lefteri's taverna. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The place made us feel very relaxed and welcomed during the time spent. Will definitely recommend it and is 10 🌟. See you soon

We had a lovely family celebration here! The food and service was excellent. We went early evening which suited the little ones in our group. The staff were charming and accommodating. The meat was tender accompanied by tasty dips, pitta, chips and rice. Aunties carrot cake was to die for! All nine of us will be back.

They charge you for the smallest portions sizes and it’s advertised as 2x bread with each starter. We ordered 3 starters and were given 1 piece of cold stale bread. The main meals are advertised as being accompanied with its own rice and chips. We were given a tiny one potion of stone cold rice and solid cold uncooked chips. And the tahini was one of the worst I’ve ever tried. Avoid this place at all costs!!!!!

Love this restaurant - food, service and atmosphere were 10/10. We ordered the £25pp mezze. Portion was just nice and food were delicious. The restaurant was almost full on a Monday night (quite busy). Nevertheless, we were amazed at the prompt and impeccable service. Will definitely return and recommend!

Lovely little place with very friendly and attentive staff

Booked a table last minute for two. It wasn’t busy when we arrived and the service was great. Seemed as though one man was managing the entire front of house but was managing it perfectly. Nobody was waiting too long for anything. Lovely greek music playing, with the bi-fold doors open for the breeze inside. We chose from the set menu. 2 courses for £15.90. The service was great and the food was even better. Some of the best stuffed vine leaves we have tried in Liverpool. Mains were quick, fresh and delicious. We couldn’t have asked for more and felt like it was worth way more than the set menu price of £15.90. The toilets were spotless, and the ladies had sanitary products inside the cubicle which I thought was a really lovely personal touch for anyone who needed them. Not something that you see even in the bigger change restaurants with a bigger budget. We were given a free taster of home made tiramisu whilst we waited for our final drinks and bill and it was amazing and such a lovely touch at the end of an amazing meal. We will be back again very soon and bringing along family and friends next time. Thank you for a lovely evening!

The most superb meal in a long time! The starters and main meals were perfect - beautifully cooked and presented. The service was impeccable and for £50 for the meal with 2 glasses of nice wine was superb. Highly recommended.

Came on a Thursday evening with my partner and were seated straight away despite not having a reservation. There were plenty of other people there so the atmosphere was nice, and the music was pleasant without being too loud. The food was great. We got their 2 courses for £16 offer and were impressed by how tasty everything was - we had the feta wrapped in filo, the dolmades, the moussaka and the ouzo chicken and shared it between the two of us. We also had a small carafe of house wine - probably worth opting for a more expensive bottle, but it did us nicely.

This place deserves 5 start, its a traditional greek restaurant and the atmosphere here is very nice, the food It's amazing, they have a menu with plenty of dishes and options to choose from. The attention was very good and welcoming, I think is a family restaurant. We ordered the meze for 2 and it had 4 courses each, Its a lot to try and eat, we had chiken, lamb, shrimps, cheese, salad sausages, all was very fresh and tasty. I noticed that its a very clean place. We loved it, definetly worth coming back.

Very busy as usual. Another great meal with meat ball starter and chicken kebabs to follow. A very nice atmosphere which enables you to have a conversation whilst dining. Busy but we were not rushed at all.

This is, without question, the best Greek restaurant we ever visited. The food is delicious and beautifully prepared, the restaurant is inviting, and both the proprietor and his staff made us feel like family. We had the stifado and the patio-kleftiko. It’s impossible to say which was best—both were intensely flavorful with melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. The dolmades were fresh and tasty. Also, the proprietor’s wife makes the desserts, and she is an absolute genius at her art. It’s worth a trip to Liverpool just to visit Lefteris, and we already are looking forward to our next visit from the USA.
