Let me off with money, and lovely food

We wanted a nice brunch together after a visit to the vets nearby, but we had our dog with us. We were delighted to find this cafe that made it clear dogs were welcome inside. Husband had a full English and said it was particularly good. I had some tasty cheese on toast which was just what I fancied, and something which you can’t always get. Finn, our collie, got his own bowl of water once we’d sat down, and ordered his own special portion of chopped sausage and black pudding. He didn’t give a review. He was too busy inhaling it. The new owners haven’t been here long, but I wish them well and hope to be passing by again soon.

Food was cold, I appreciate the distance however only thing which was hot was the soup despite everything being packed in foil trays. Portion sizes for the price are shocking especially the king prawns. Fried rice is like boiled rice. Never ordered from here before and unfortunately won’t be ordering again.

Millie, liabeth and Marvin went above and beyond for me tonight, the most loviest staff ever feel would 100% recommend this pub for the gorgeous staff ! Xx

Be careful if you have allergies as the lady serving used the same jug for two different types of milk - when this was pointed out to her she rudely said it’s only froth! Very disappointing - Costa please train your staff to change the jugs when swapping between the variety of milks that you offer before someone ends up sick! Been back since and got a very frosty reception from same lady. I spend over £20 a week in the penny lane Costa and my family members do too.

Ordered online through Uber eats 5 mins later I receive a message saying that I cancelled the order which was a total lie, now I don't get a refund, great scam BEWARE DON'T ORDER FROM HERE
