Had to pay for parking, I totally disagree with this. What next….. will Asda start charging to go shopping there. Serving staff friendly enough.

Exalant food staff is very helpful 👌 and the decor is impeccable

Honestly, it's one of the best spoons I've been to. Got parking, food was top, place was clean and actual very nice inside (antique vibe deco) 👌🏼, was pretty busy but the wait for food and drinks wasn't longer than 15 minutes and everything was brought out to us. Staff were lovely 👀 and friendly.

Typical Spoons pub, very busy afternoon. Food standard as expected for a Spoons, clean and nice environment. Free parking. Child friendly.

Hadn't been here in years. Popped in Friday afternoon and the place was heaving. Got a table and ordered at the bar. Food came out fairly promptly considering how busy it was and was nice for a weatherspoons(ie decent portion size and food actually hot!)

Great pity that scrolling news available in almost all other Spoons on muted screens is not used. All-day horse betting meetings instead. Asked...and told that regulars prefer it. Regulars being about 6 guys - in a place with 60+ tables. There is a betting shop a 1 minute walk away.

I can't get enough of this pub. The atmosphere is fantastic 🤩 beer choice is phenomenal!! Food is fantastic for the money.

Honestly,it's the first time I've been there and I sat outside. If you go on Monday,(which I did)you can get a pint,if you're a bitter drinker,a pint of Worthington cream flow bitter for an astounding £1:49 per pint,and that price is all day. I can't give a rating on the food as I didn't have any,but what I saw on the plates looked appetising,and when I go again next Monday, I'll certainly give it a bash. I was sitting outside so again,I can't give a rating on the atmosphere, but entering to buy my beer it felt pleasant. The service was promt considering it was at a busy time for food,(13:00) hours, I didn't really have much of a wait. All in all I'm going there again.

It's a wetherspoons what more can you say. Beer is reasonably priced,staff are nice but they're proper stingy with the chip portions. I've had on average 14 chips on the side,as few as 8 and as many as 15. Tim Martin is a chip snatcher 😁

Not the best spoons you'll find and the place seriously lacks ventilation when the Aircon isn't on. My fish looked more like a fish finger.

The WiFi wasn't working, never works. We ordered an American burger, it was very bland, no taste. We had to put tomatoe sauce on it and salt. Please pay your bills for WiFi. Plus the American burger was to have red onion on, no lettuce, tomatoe, it needs upgrading.

I have visited the Childwall Fiveways a few times recently and each visit. On one of these occasions, I took my mum for a bite to eat and drink. The menu has lots to offer for snacks and mains and can be bought late into the night when most pubs have finished serving food. I would recommend here for a quick bite to eat or to spend the evening with friends. The selection of beers and spirits is quite comprehensive and being a Weatherspoons pub, the prices are very low. We ordered for mum, a medium sized pizza with chips and I ordered the large mixed grill. The portion sizes were large and we were both impressed with the value for money of our chosen meal Overall, it is a good pub with bar meals at a reasonable price. Roast tasted bland. Potatoes were hard. Mum's chips were cold so her meal went back and instead of giving her a fresh meal of fish and chips. They had no chunky chips so they gave her skinny fries with her original half eaten fridge which had gone cold whilst waiting. Paid full price. Shocking. But lovely place.

Love going here for lunch snd drinks with the girls. It's a lovely pub with a good sized beer garden and fast, friendly service.

Newice food but I think outdated now

Ordered Pasta Alfredo and got a childs’ portion sized meal. Ordered Katsu Curry and again, although a little larger, the size was not an adult size. Apparently, head office sends these small portions out and it is not the establishments fault, however after mentioning the small portion, the waitor didn’t sound interested. There is no way we can be the first to complain but still nothing is done about it. Quite an expensive experience considering the plate size.

Served 2 x breakfasts outside- staff mentioned dogs were not permitted in the beer garden despute a sign at the entrance way clealy stating assistance dogs were permitted. Neither breakfast had the correct items as described on the menu - were short of sausage and toast. Noone came back to ask if all was OK. Could do much better- have seen this place slide down too many times so having good visits over this year, it was sadly disappointing today and hope this is not the trend!!

I used to love going to Childwall fiveways the food was fab. I went last week, OMG the food was really, really awful and our table was sticky. Never ever will I go back there 👎

It's a Wetherspoons, so you know what you're getting. We were a large group (25) and an area was reserved for us. The service was swift and friendly, the food plentiful and the drinks cheap.

Great service, friendly staff and we stayed on for the quiz at 8pm which Meg did, she was a fab host and we all had a good laugh!

Breakfast with siblings. Traditional breakfast really nice. Gave me an extra egg instead of beans. Stayed over 2 hours will unlimited hot drinks.

Live between this spot and town and would far rather come further out to childwall for a chilled out pint and crackin the laptop out and gettin through some emails here than goin in town for a city centre spoons. Great spot.

Nice to sit outside on a sunny day

Harsh nasty staff asked for water for our dog sitting outside hot weather and they still refused , who and where would behave like that . Also filthy outside taking your money but totally unarsed about sitting in squalor

This is a favourite Wetherspoons of mine, beer and food always good and reasonably priced. Great bar attentive bar staff with good service.

Terrible i was scared for my life

Great place, it's a spoons, it's very busy, but it didn't slow the at table service, stagg great friendly and helpful. Lovely night with friends. A good laugh, a place to go to drink, chat , and laugh.

This is our local and it is a convenient place for a meal and drink. Lots of space though it can get pretty crowded.

My favourite wetherspoons on my current trip to Liverpool. Great atmosphere during the afternoon of New Year's Eve. I was fortunate enough to have a very good Jaipur for £1.88. The chicken wings and hot sauce went down well. The only disappointment was that the £4 off Christmas dinner wasn't available despite the signs.

On or way back we noticed the Wetherspoon pub eatery just off the roundabout has we headed towards the M62 on or way back home. Impulse we called in for a bite to eat and a pint It’s 18:00 and very busy to say the least Friday night Food orders by app Mixed grill with the trimmings … good feast of a plates worth Couldn’t fault here. Serves a good breakfast from 8am until 12 Noon 😳😊😊 Also the Monday club ! Absolute cheapest around . OPENS AT 8AM . Heswall and Runcorn Spoons are the cheapest in this area . Coffee still 99p and food prices a lot cheaper too !

Well...food was good but had to remind service of a missing part of the order. Cutlery for 5 people came with 1 napkin. So had to go and request a few more. We sat in an awkward space, were it was difficult for people and also the service personnel to get past. Awkward also for us sitting there, being scared to get some food spilled down our neck. Not an ideal layout. Not the worst but could be better.
