Joe & The Juice in Liverpool

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received branch around 4:45 PM during my recent visit. I had an unpleasant experience with two girls employees. I ordered two Spicy Tuna sandwiches (cut in half) and two Power Shakes. I was concerned because one shake was the usual pink color I expected, while the other looked noticeably different. I noticed that other customers’ Power Shakes before and after my order were consistently pink, which made me question whether I had received the correct drink. When I politely asked about my order, I was met with a rude response. I also noticed unprofessional behavior, as it seemed they were laughing and communicating in a way that made me feel uncomfortable and dismissed. This left me feeling unsure about the accuracy of my order, but I took the drinks and sat at my table. When I went back to pick up the Spicy Tuna sandwiches, they were left on the table without anyone calling my name. I had to ask an employee if they were mine. Additionally, although I requested them to be cut in half, they were not. When I pointed this out, the staff took the sandwiches back but then simply placed them on the table again. I waited about 3–4 minutes just to have them cut, which felt unnecessarily long for such a simple request. I even overheard one of them saying that she couldn't cut it in half, which was surprising. This experience was disappointing and far below the standard I expect from Joe & The Juice. I

AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS! I'm still fuming after the appalling service I received at Joe & The Juice in John Lewis Liverpool. The cashier's incompetence and attitude were staggering. She double-charged my international debit card, and when I politely pointed out the mistake, she became argumentative and refused to acknowledge the error. Despite my repeated attempts to resolve the issue, she remained stubbornly defiant, even showing me the backend POS system as if that would somehow magically fix the problem. Her complete lack of professionalism and customer service skills was breathtaking. I'm not alone in my frustration, judging by the numerous other reviews on here that mention similar experiences with the staff's attitude and service. It's clear that this location has a serious problem that needs to be addressed. Until then, I would strongly advise anyone considering visiting this Joe & The Juice location to think twice. Take your business (and your sanity) elsewhere. *UPDATE:* I hope the management takes these reviews seriously and takes immediate action to retrain their staff and improve their customer service.

Don’t sit at the table with a waste bin next to it. Some dick trying to look cool throwing his cup into the bin will miss: anchor! Otherwise a nice coffee and choc cake.

Staff polite, quick service, always nice juices

Rude staff! Could hear the girl with blonde short hair talking about me and making fun of my name to other workers and then was so rude to my face when I picked up my order. Was really upset by the whole ordeal

Just picture it, hungover, so close to being sick, the floor is the ceiling and the ceiling is the floor, but then- it comes to me, order breakfast. Order breakfast. Like a chant, a calling from somewhere far beyond me, I get on deliveroo and I find joe and the juice- Joe and his juice could be the one for me.... so much avocado, so many choices- so many smoothies. I mulled over my choices, and chose i did, briskly clicking the buttons i needed to click and in 30 minutes my order was at my door. Incredible; Custom boxes, Plenty of napkins, Each cake in their own box, sticker on the lid of smoothie to prevent spillage. So much care and so much love. hangover cured, bosh. Feeling a bit healthier after that smoothie, bosh. Lovely meal, bosh. Completely nailed the picture I had in my head where this magical delivery breakfast would cure me, feet up, smoothie in hand, serrano sandwich in the other, any drink from last night a distant memory. Thanks joe and juice. Brill time. Avid fan.

Tunacado is amazing I absolutely love it

My daughter ordered two cappuccinos on Friday 3rd Jan at the John Lewis cafe in Liverpool. We waited 20 minutes - no explanation, no apology, not even eye contact! The place was almost empty. Appalling. Won't go back. Doesn't even deserve one star but that's the only way I can post this.

Probably best flat white I’ve ever had. Coffee They use is just delicious. Very nice and friendly staff.

Staff disrespectful. Especially tall lady who has curly hair. If you are not happy to serve people as an coffee shop’s staff than find another job!!! Dirty place!! Liverpool council definitely needs to visit here!!! I cant imagine the kitchen!!!

Different behaviour to me and my friend. I do not recommend to foreign people.Clearly different approach to foreign people. Also i told the staff i will stay in and dont want takeaway cup. She said ok but gave me in takeaway cup. The tall red-haired lady didn't even look at us when she took our order, let alone smiling. Who do you think you are? Or who do you think we are? If you want to feel bad, you can come here and embarrass yourself with your money. We came at 09:50 - 16th of december 2024. Waste of time. Nothing else

The only expensive food worth the price tbh, their sandwiches are so good

Always a good service and food! The toasties and cakes are amazing. The only challenge point is the price, a little bit expensive comparing with others places around

Positives = nice location and good atmosphere. Negatives = quality of food is very poor, had ovacado shake that cost £7 and it was water with a bit of ovacado flavouring, something you'll expect a five year old to mixup and The staff seemed they didn't want to work there and did not even bother to place the cake I bought on a plate and just handed it to me so had to put it on tissue, finished it quickly and left as I felt talking to them was a waist of my breath. Overall would not recommend and I'm surprised they have any positive reviews with such poor service and low quality food.

Disgusting attitude of your staff. I came in here with my 6 year old autistic son. We were waiting to be served at the till when the blonde woman behind the till put a drink down on the counter. My son mistakenly went to take the drink thinking it was his. I quickly apologised to the woman who didn’t even look at me but instead quickly snatched the drink away as though it was the Crown Jewels and stopped in her tracks to glare at my 6 year old son. I then told her there was no need for the disgusting way she looked at my child. And reminded her he was a child and questioned why she was in a customer service role. She replied with ‘ok’ no apology. By this point I had all the customers in the store staring at me and my child, I left the store shaken with anger and disappointment. I’m glad my son was oblivious to the attitude your staff member had shown us both.

Never coming back here 20 minutes for a sandwich two visits in a row, Nobody wears hair nets and today I get a horrible long hair innmy food, which I instantly put down and didn't eat the rest. What a waste of time and money.

A cafe with a beautiful atmosphere that offers a variety of fresh juices and coffee, and is distinguished by its delicious jalapeno tuna sandwich 👍🏻 Prices are reasonable We took his famous spicy tuna sandwiches, but unfortunately the quality of the bread changed for the worse. The bread became more ground, meaning brown bread, and they toasted it to the point that it cracked inside the mouth. They did not cook it in this way. It was soft, and the bread was medium brown and white.

Never disappointed with Joe and the juice! A little on the pricier side for a sandwich but so worth it. I can highly recommend the tuna cado (with extra tuna) and the blueberry matcha.

I’ve just found out this is a cashless business it’s a Shane I would have spent a fortune here all cashless businesses such as this are to be avoided like the plague

Asked for avocado didn’t put in.

shambles of an establishment. don’t usually pop into these places but did. first they said 5min delay. which was fine with me. then 10mins later a woman told me it’d now be 15mins would i like a refund? i said sure. went to scan my card i payed with so it could be sent back, she said no need it just “gets sent back to me”. 1 week goes by, come back into store asking about my refund that never arrived, met with gormless staff that went to “ring someone” about it, came back and a girl said to “just email customer service”, who of which informed me apologetic that none of their establishments hold any customers data at all, so my refund was never on its way and i was lied to lol. thankfully customer service dealt with my refund, but they seemed quite humiliated by the service i received.

I ordered it at 7am, should arrive around 8.12am. It’s 11am, app says that it’s delivered but it’s not. I didn’t receive my order. It is second time, terrible customer service. Well… no customer service whatsoever. It’s not possible to talk with anyone, you need to fill in some form from which they will never respond.

Not stuck on this coffee shop. Music far too loud took ages to get my coffee and l didn't think it was very clean. Expected more from John Lewis

I came today for my spicy tuna. An English girl with brown hair served me but as I waited to be served she didn’t acknowledge my wait or say ‘bear with me’ she literally just stared. When I was served no apology for the wait. My sandwich I felt like she didn’t spread the filling which made me feel sick. My name wasn’t called out when my order was ready I had to go up myself when they knew I was waiting. The girl with brown hair was so rude she was working Liverpool branch 3.55 14/11. Really disappointed. Shop was also quiet so they have time to give good customer service but chose to be rude. Is there a customer care email I can discuss this issue further? I am shocked that they treat customers like this. I am regularly visiting Joe juice but the Liverpool branch is the worst.

The music level is over legal limit as per the following legislation: The Control Of Noise At Work Regulations 2005, hence reported to trading standards. Fix it.

Staff were rude and the place was a mess, watched my drinks sit on the side for 15 mins for people to just breath all over it whilst waiting for an unwrapped up sandwich.

Loved the variation of the menu and staff service. I think the variation of the menu allows for everyone to find something they’re going to love. I had the pick me up juice and the turkey sandwich, banana bread and it was all honestly top tier flavouring. The prices are not cheap but I wouldn’t say it’s expensive for what you get. It was quick and easy turnaround as well. They have seating inside and outside, we sat outside since it was good weather. Will definitely be going back !

Had the spicy tuna with extra avocado which was really good. Also had the sports juice which was quite nice. It was £15 for both of that. Took a bit until I got my order and the shop itself was extremely warm and loud so didn’t feel comfortable eating there. Food and drinks are good though, recommend them!

Everything is perfect except the pointless loud music

Tired and grubby, no wonder they keep it so dark, if the lights were on you’d probably never come in. Six members of staff and no one cleaned anything, I had to ask to have a table cleaned. everything served in paper cups. Tables and seats dirty and chairs also falling apart- What ever the concept was it’s been lost - it’s definitely not a restful place, if you want that go elsewhere, music so load you have to shout to be heard by the staff. This replaced a light airy and welcoming (and clean) espresso bar, during that back and put Joe out of its misery.

Dirty whole place is grubby, staff with plastic gloves never taking them off whatever they were doing. Better to have good hand washing in place.

First off music blasting,8 dirty tables, 7 staff behind the counter, ordered a coffee got given it in a tiny flat whit cup asked for hot milk got cold and obviously a bigger cup don’t think she could hear me over the loud music. Also a small guy behind counter with the other 6 staff ran his fingers through his hair 14 times I don’t think that’s very hygienic in a food preparation area. Coffee is really good here though.

Fantastic service when visiting here twice. Both Faye and Lucy have been really helpful when visiting on separate occasions, and they have gone the extra mile when providing customer service.

Went around 3pm on a Sunday, was quite empty but still the preparation took longer than expected even though there are 4 members of staff working… I have been to the Miami one and when they handed me the açai bowl I was in shock comparing both of them… Liverpool’s one was VERY small, not enough açai filling… banana was a bit black… very disappointed for the price. Anyway the sandwiches were okay… and the coffee is not bad. The staff were nice.

The spicy tuna sandwich was genuinely excellent with loads of flavour, good quality ingredients. This place is expensive for a casual place, but in terms of the quality of the sandwich and the coffee, i could have no complaints. The staff were also really nice and helpful, whilst the atmosphere was chilled and relaxed making it a nice place to spend some time relaxing.

Oh wow I was so made up to find this place I had the wild blue juice smoothe and carrot cake. Both smoothie and carrot cake were top notch, it wasn't cheap but you pay for quality price wise it's middle of the road for liverpool one. Defo worth a visit only down side was music was a bit loud but other then that it was great, staff were supper friendly and worked so hard to keep the cues down well done team.

Was not what I was expecting needs up dating dirty sticky flooring stools ripped and over priced .. Dont think I will be going back any time soon .

Beyond overpriced if you want a smoothie for £10 and a very standard tuna sandwich for £7, which you could definitely recreate at home.

Healthy food which is delicious... Their sandwiches are a must have and my favourite is the red supreme amoothie

Love the vibe in here, a really cool place to chill and have something tasty to eat and drink. Love the spicy tuna sandwich. Only downside are the prices, not cheap.

The actual drinks are fantastic but it’s quite expensive for what it is. We also find it messy and doesn’t seem to be very organised behind the counter. However we will return due to the quality of the product.

The coffee shop has a nice appearance to it. But the rest of the experience was disappointing. The staff was friendly, but the coffee was unpalatable. I ordered the vanilla latte. The place was disorganized and dirty.

I have been into this little coffee bar before and it did seem better back then. I felt it was a little tired and worn out looking now. Its a pleasant enough place but I am not sure I would visit again.

This is the one in John Lewis located in liverpool 1. Ended up walking out before we even ordered it was that bad. Have nothing good to say about it. Best recommendation I have is to go straight to the main John Lewis cafe on the third floor. Really not good the fact that Joe and the juice is located in such a good quality department store.

Second time I’ve visited and been over charged for my food. Told by staff they can’t refund my money and have to email the head office. Never had any reply on my money back.

Best place for juice and sandwiches. There is nothing to compare with Joe & the Juice.

The vibe is amazing ! I got the 2 shakes power shake & avo shake , without question the power shake is exceptionally the better ! The turkey sandwich was lovely too and brownie was also delicious

Have alway enjoyed a quick lunch at Joe and the juice but don’t think I will ever go again the cleanliness was nonexistent floor and tables were really dirty it wasn’t even busy and there were plenty of staff around to clean up what made it worse was that behind the serving counter also looked dirty. I’m really sorry to write this but after ordering I sat down and looked around I really lost my appetite. I really hope they can turn this around as the food and drinks our really nice.

Food & drink very tasty but surprised after so many reviews mentioning the loud music that nothing has been done about it. It’s as loud as a nightclub in there with dance music booming from the speakers which is actually at dangerous levels. There were about 3 people sitting in there. A few older people walked in pulled a face and walked straight back out. Town was so busy yet this place was deserted. You can barely hear yourself think in there.

Joe and the juice is one of the best place to have your brunch in. The tuna sandwich and a coffee shake are the most delicious combinations if you like them. I personally prefer their juices and cold coffee instead of hot coffee The kitchen needs to be more clean. Everything else is good friendly stuff and good services Dan you are the best

Probably the noisiest coffee shop I've ever been to, from the constant banging and shrieking of the 'uber juicer', to the bad music booming from every corner of the room. My ears were ringing when I got outside, from the din. I won't be returning, wanted a peaceful cup of coffee but came out with my nerves shredded.

Good juice, good coffee. Why oh why is their juice served in plastic containers. Hundreds of them stacked up. For a company fronted by young people this is incomprehensible. Get a grip and sort this.

Visitó la hora de la calle 1 y el tipo con barba que parecía estar a cargo necesita un curso de servicio al cliente, ya que parecía no estar interesado en servir y era casi grosero con su actitud. No regresaría aunque las bebidas estaban bien. ¡Un servicio espantoso!

Si quieres un café rápido/batido y un panini/aire frío magdalena en una zona estafado, este es el lugar para usted!Todas las bebidas servidas en envases desechables - paninis envueltas en papel.Cadena danesa - no estoy seguro de si John Lewis es la mejor ubicación - parece que es comercializado hacia los jóvenes?Fui dos veces y disfrutamos de la café con hielo y panini, adolescentes disfrutaron batidos y panini.Si quieres un café, este no es el lugar para ti, pero para un rápido 20 minutos tienda mediados ¡es genial!

Spent a relaxing half hour with a carrot, apple and ginger juice and a turkey flatbread. Food and drink both good. Service friendly. Nice clean place with a chilled atmosphere.

I had a lovely smoothie here which was made to order and took some time and was lovely. Not cheap but it is an oasis of calm amidst the frenzy of shopping that many like me would appreciate (husbands, take note).

This place is amazing. It is so much more than a coffee shop. I had the most delicious green juice and can say that I felt like I had a natural energy boost. I have been meaning to go back but haven’t been in Liverpool since. I would definitely pay this place a visit if you are in the area. My review is delayed as I am now just trying to recreate Joe The Juice at home and felt guilty stealing the recipes online as I hadn’t got around to writing the review.

Very pretty place, very nice staff. Their smoothies are amasing. Not cheap, to be honest, but worthy. The sandwiches are also nice and so is the coffee. Quiet atmosphere.
