Costa Coffee in Liverpool

Be careful if you have allergies as the lady serving used the same jug for two different types of milk - when this was pointed out to her she rudely said it’s only froth! Very disappointing - Costa please train your staff to change the jugs when swapping between the variety of milks that you offer before someone ends up sick! Been back since and got a very frosty reception from same lady. I spend over £20 a week in the penny lane Costa and my family members do too.

As others have mentioned, this franchise owned by Optimum Group do not follow UK employment law. Avoid. They will offer you a job in writing, ask you to hand in your notice, and then you go into work and they don't know who you are, and say the job is no longer available

Stupid amount of money for 2 crushed beans food isn't the best

Please don’t use this costa coffee which is a franchise for the optimum group they employ really hard working staff and let them go for no reason - Liv the store manager was an asset to that store and Dan the BM both let go for no reason go to Starbucks or Nero instead don’t line the pockets of a company that doesn’t follow uk law

Incredibly rude staff. Got a quick espresso, sign says one price £2.35 - charge £2.70. Asked why and the blonde girl replied ‘yeh’ then turns away 😂

Went In today 16:06 asked for a frappe, told no iced drinks as they were closing soon. Ordered coffee, ( he said takeaway only couldnt sit in. Also couldn't scan the app " as the systems down" , left checked Google and they shut at 5pm. Floors soaking wet from mopping, very slippy. Customer service awful, couldn't be bothered rinsing the blender after use. Never smelt a worse shop in my life. Stinks!

I ordered large and charged for large Cuppacino, it came in a medium cup, and only just over half full (hadn’t spilt, bag was dry and hot) Rest of order fine

Horrible coffee @ 11:15 on 2/11/23. Sure I could ask them to remake it, but that doesn’t seem particularly tempting.

I ordered coffee from here for my mum and I. Her coffee was fine but when i opened mine, it was half empty! I tried to call them and explain the situation but all of their phone lines are down. I am furious and will not be ordering from here again.

One of my drinks was filled half way and looked opened as if it had been drank from before I even recieved it. Furious.

dirty little filthy shop to say the least, always short staffed, always wait ages and never get the correct drink . the lad managing now always looks stressed out , hes only a kid . the place needs someone older and stronger . got to be the worst manager there to date. costa get a grip

I went to the Costa at Penny Lane Liverpool. Made my order then realised I had forgotten my purse. Callum was more than helpful and let me have what I ordered and said just pay next time you are in. This was such a lovely thing to do for someone he didn't know and I really appreciated it. Good job and thank you so much

struggling with work on PC and manageress came up with a cake !!! :-) my fav Costa because of the staff

Good service however one of the items was wrong, a blueberry muffin instead of a lemon muffin.

Asked for a regular hot chocolate, charged £4.50, stood in queue for 20 minutes whilst only 1 other person was being served, and got given a small hot chocolate not even what I asked for

This in in relation ti the penny lane branch-What's with the ridiculous code needed to use the toilets? I wanted to use the toilet first before ordering as there was a bit of a queue. I have a non visible disability. I asked for the code and was told I need to order first.theres not even a disabled toilet available for a keyholder. In the end they give me the code only because I said I was disabled, does it have to come to that just to use the loo? The snowflake on the counter replied proudly with 'its my job to follow orders'🙈 Congratulations on being a moronic robot with no empathy or moral compass.

Great coffee shop & plenty of seating. Staff always in a great mood and can’t do enough for you, coffee is great too. Costa is costa you know what you get. Visited this week when it’s been really busy than usual and they’re all still their happy usual selfs. Costa Coffee you have a little hidden gem in this store

The coffee was absolutely disgusting, I threw it away after one sip and I have no idea why there was a thick brown residue stuck to the bottom of my cappuccino cup. The milk had not been frothed at all. It tasted really really bad. No excuse for this. I usually go to Starbucks which was unfortunately closed. It is the same distance away and always arrives perfectly. I cannot see any reason for receiving such a bad coffee. The delivery was on time as well so it cannot be the drivers fault.

Really thoughtfully prepared. Even supplied a little cup of milk as I asked for extra. Delivery driver packed very well so they arrived safely. Brilliant. Thank you

Gets a one because zero isn’t an option. Places my order and my toast arrived several mins before my drink did. I asked if my drink was ready only to be told there was people before me. I know my eyes are not the best but I don’t think I missed seeing anybody ahead of me. Maybe they mastered the art of invisibility Anyway I digress. I had wondered if Amazon had invented a prototype of battery operated baristas. I wasn’t sure if her battery had gone flat. But now what seemed like and she she sparked in to life with the enthusiasm of tortoise carrying a hod of bricks. Eventually my drink arrives moments before my five o clock shadow I had entering developed in to a full blown beard

I would never order from Costa ever again, the lid of my drink was no closed properly, I was handed a soaking empty cup. Which leaked all over my floor. The order was also wrong. NEVER again!

I was only there to pick up a parcel from the Royal Mail. Bad, bad,bad! Just got ignored by the staff! I waited to be served, the manager that was there looked at me and shout loud to the staff outback. She was not even doing anything important, just trying to look busy. The female staff member just shouted back at her...'I'm busy' she was doing the dishes, but she didn't know I could see her. I just left, went to Speke McDonald's instead. It's really shameful because I actually for them many years ago...its obvious the customer service training needs doing again.

Ordered 2 drinks and a packet of crisps, only got 1 of the drinks I ordered and another drink I didn’t order and never got my crisps.

Ordered a chicken fajita with hot drink. I received it uncooked still in packaging! So had to heat it up myself! Kind of defeats the object of buying hot food delivered…. When you have to cook it yourself!!! 🤦🏻‍♀️ What’s going on with Costa lately majority of items are unavailable- Get more stock in, it might help.

They accidentally misheard heard my order but as soon as They realised the apologised and immediately made my drink. Professional service, friendly and the place was clean and tidy. Nice coffee too.

Great coffee and hot sandwiches

Ordered delivery from Uber, delivered quickly brilliant. But the order from Penny Lane, Costa 😮 I ordered a Caramel Frostino it came WITHOUT Caramel, a sausage bap, I got a bacon bap so hard I couldn’t eat most of it, I ordered a Kit Kat muffin which never arrived, FML this is ridiculous 🤦🏻‍♀️ Every single thing was wrong and either not there or inedible/drinkable

Serves the best coffee, Costa. Yum yum. Friendly staff, great selection of sandwiches / toasties and sweet treats.

Good nice pleasant place good staff can get busy the two disappointment is that the delivery orders take priority over people queuing that I think is wrong and charging extra for purring cream.

Always look forward to finishing our shopping, then, we can relax with a Costa coffee.

Staff were really good but they're not paying on their VAT savings to the customers, like all of the other Costas we've been in are. And they have no intention of either. So they're paying less but you're not - won't be returning here, clearly no desire to get their customers back.

Really nice smaller costa coffee. I'm a big fan of this location because the staff are super friendly, its really clean and has the atmosphere you would want from a busy coffee shop.

Great service, coffee and comfy chairs

Llamamos para un capuchino pero terminamos teniendo un pastel también. El BOSS tenía una pastelería danesa, tuve una tarta de carne picada, la primera de la temporada navideña. Todo estaba delicioso, el servicio fue rápido y amable. fabuloso.

Visité con mi nieto la primera vez que estuve sola con el cochecito, un miembro del personal muy servicial (señorita, lamento no haber recibido su nombre), se ofreció a llevar el café a mi mesa, lo que realmente aprecié. Café como siempre es genial gracias Costa

This Costa is quite dark inside as only windows in front. On this visit the coffee was good but they had run out of tea cakes! The back ground noise from the chiller cabinets and coffee machines was a but annoying. I think because the place is a bit like a tunnel it amplifies the sound.

Costa Coffee address of Penny Lane not correct as it is not actually in Penny Lane. It is situated in the 'Penny Lane Shopping Centre' several hundred meters from the end of Penny Lane. But it does serve good coffee in an attractive setting.

I always find it busy in here no matter what time. Coffees and snacks are good not cheap but nice. A regular coffee is huge ,

Aunque se inauguró hace un año, esta fue nuestra primera visita. Diseño estándar para Costa, es mucho más grande de lo que parece desde el exterior. Compartimos un tostado de queso, el BOSS tenía un capuchino. Tomé un té Earl Grey. delicioso. El personal es muy amable y hablador, buen lugar, ahora sabemos dónde está, volveremos.

Staff could do with some customer training. Having been left unacknowledged for a couple of minutes while she counted the till, I was greeted by a fairly grumpy "what are you having?" and complete inattention when I asked to tap my card to pay. I've had a few poor Costa experiences recently & this was another.
