Dark, relaxing, resident dog, small and friendly - been a few times and will return. Only a few tables so feels intimate and not like anywhere else on Lark Lane

I had the pleasure of eating in this gem of a restaurant! The hospitality was first class. The oxtail and rice and peas was authentically seasoned some real Jamaican food. My new go to!

Always intended on dining here and i work down the road, so decided to call in today for a takeaway cartoccio for lunch. Its a little authentic quaint place..owners werent very friendly except to the italian group of girls that were there. The meatball cartoccio was 5.50..nice foccaccia bread and 2 meatballs with a bit of cheese..not what i expected and a bit disappointing.

Thank you to all staff at Al dente for making our Christmas day so amazing, food was gorgeous!, sevice was excellent!, so pleased and there was no rush and gave us time between course's unlike some places. We have been to Al dente quite a few times, so know how good food and service is but Christmas day with large family is a special time and best recommendation can give is we will look forward to 100% booking again next year. This might be the best vegan breakfast I’ve eaten so far. Fresh (!) falafel, tasty potato cake, excellent mushrooms, and everything else went so well with it! The interior is so cozy and welcoming, and really makes me want to wrap up in a blanket and read a book all day. Only the lemonade is more like a grapefruit-ade, not my thing, but eh, I could have checked

Ordered online via Uber Eats after a recommendation. Loved everything, it was super delicious and mega large portions too!! My lamb biryani was probably the best I’ve had in a long time! Highly recommended and will definitely be ordering from here again 👍🏻

This cafe isn't as good as it used to be since the French chef who managed it left and I'm not sure this cafe is even open anymore when it is in a Buddhist centre and relies on someone reliable who lives there to manage it. However it is in a lovely and peaceful venue and there are toilets nearby to use if needed.

Lovely New Year dinner. Delicious steak but fries were average and chimchirri sauce way too garlicky. Could have been outstanding but not as amazing as it could have been for the money. A little disappointing.

Without a doubt best place to eat and drink coffee (and allsorts of other yummy drinks) on Lark Lane! I actually don’t know where to start as they have nailed everything in this gorgeous little gem! The staff are attentive and friendly-you can tell they like working there. I have a 2 year old and they are always particularly welcoming to her too-offering food options/adaptions when i’ve asked, there are good baby changing facilities and lots of highchairs. Minna is spotlessly clean and oozes cool chilled out yet homely vibes. The food is UNREAL loads of options for veggie/vegan and everything is so fresh! I always love the Turkish eggs or the french toast with strawberries is delicious-but i’ve had lots of different things and all have been really good. The courtyard at the back is particularly gorgeous on a summer afternoon, and the open fire downstairs is soo cosy on a Winters day! The decor throughout is just beautiful while maintaining abit Lark lane quirkiness aswell! As i said Minna you have nailed everything and have set the bar high for the rest of the lane. Highly recommend to all-pay them a visit you won’t want to leave!

Brilliant restaurant! The owner and the waitress were brilliant and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. We ordered a mix of food from the menu and everything came out hot and on time as well as tasted great. I love a restaurant where you can tell the owner puts their heart and sole into the food and service. Will be back again ! We recommend the calamari and the surf and turf highly, steak was cooked to perfection!

I got the Kinder milkshake and pistachio milk cake, and both were absolutely amazing! The service was great, and it’s such a perfect spot for those late night dessert cravings. Definitely planning to visit again soon! :)
