Our first visit this evening and well worth the drive from Southport. Food was incredible, great price and huge portions. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend and will visit again for sure. Peter and Deeo

Just picked up a takeaway from this unassuming place. Blown away. I lived in london for 20 years but the food here is right up with anything I had in the capital. The prices couldn’t have been any more reasonable either. I asked for mine Thai hot, whilst my partner had mild. Both our meals were absolutely packed full of flavour. My Thai salad blew my head off! Think we’ve just found a new fave place.

This little gem of a restaurant was absolutely fantastic! Light, flavorful and juicy. The prices are reasonable and the owners are very warm and welcoming. If you’re staying near Lark Lane, it’s absolutely worth the walk over, they won’t disappoint.

Been coming here for a few years now, few times a week most of the time. Better than most of the food you will get even in Thailand!

First time visiting this little family run cafe, which also provides a very popular takeaway service. A warm down to earth welcome and friendly atmosphere created by the owner who was really helpful in recommending what to eat and explaining the spice levels. I had the sea bass with ginger & garlic coupled with Jasmin rice, it was delicious. My friends had sea bass, chicken and veg dishes. All were excellent and between us we covered all the 3 spice levels available and the portions were very generous. The 3 chilli spice (hot) version is not for the feint hearted but equally as delicious as the mild & medium versions. I would recommend this as well worth a visit if you like Thai food or if you want to try it out, but do listen to the advice on the spice levels! If you don’t want to sit in, use the takeaway service.

I visit this cafe/restaurant regularly. Family run buisness to a tee! when you taste this food you will understand why people drive hours to pick up this food! The freshest tastiest authentic food in liverpoool! Unreal! 👌🏽🙌🏽

Having recently moved to the area I’ve been eyeing up coming for tea! Popped in on my own and was made to feel more than welcome by the two gents out front! Sadly they had run out of green curry but I was given some recommendations and went with the holy basil chicken? What a great choice ... super tasty and not too spicy! Having spent some time in Thailand I’m lucky to have this gem on the doorstep! Definitely will be back! Exited to become a regular!

Delicious home Thai cooking. We ordered takeaway for 2 adults and 2 young children. Everyone was very pleased with the food. Would highly recommend.

What a great restaurant! Seriously good food.What makes this stand out are three things1. Staff and exceptional welcome and service from the moment you walk through the door2. Food - cooked fresh there and then. The owners wife cooks and the dishes we had of Holy Basil chicken and Sea Bass were so tasty and delicious.3. Spotless and I mean spotless! The owner explained how the business developed and invited us into the kitchen totally unannounced to meet his wife. The kitchen was immaculate and everything was being prepared from scratch.This was a great little find and beats all other Thai restaurants we have visited (and that’s plenty)We loved it here - great meal and we will definitely return

We have had takeout twice and I can say it’s the best two meals (Basil chicken) I have ever eaten. Portions are generous and it’s been enough for two, I cannot recommend highly enough, yes you wait, but it is made fresh, amazing fried rice and mIxed veg dishes, stunning

This is the best Thai food in Liverpool by far ive been going to Thailand for the last 10 years and Mays Thai Kitchen takes me back every time with their authentic Thai cooking the flavours are amazing i promise once you try Mays Thai Kitchen you will go back again and again

Just been to May's for some food tonight and it was absolutely gorgeous! Went with my mum, dad, brother and my two daughters one aged 4yrs and one 7months and they did beautiful food to suit the whole family. Absolutely buzzing with how nice it was! Would definitely recommend to anyone! Food takes a little while but that's only because it's being made fresh and it's definitely worth the wait!

Visited here for the first time this evening - we weren't disappointed and will definately be back. On the table - Papya salad, holy basil chicken, holy basil shrimp, chicken soup and noodles, garlic chicken, rice with egg. All lush and on point!!

What a treasure this place is. Fabulous food and friendly efficient service. The prawn dishes (holy basil and red curry) were spot on and perfectly cooked.

Called in here with a mate who highly recommended it and was blown away by the traditional home style thai cooking. Great food and the owner made everyone feel like family. Will be going back soon!

Great service and lovely food, prepared fresh every day. I phoned to ask if they could prepare Vegan food for me, and they created a dish especially for my diet. The best tasting Thai food I have had in Liverpool for a very reasonable price.

First time I have ever been here with my friend Christine. Food was amazing and completely authentic to Thailand food. We had the chicken holy basil, prawn mixed veg and the Papaya salad. All of it was delicious can’t recommend enough. Service was fantastic and Ian was ever so friendly, customers just as friendly. It’s a true hidden gem. We visited May's last Saturday for lunch for the first time and loved it so much that were back again this week. Very friendly, attentive service; portions are a good size and prices very reasonable. The Chicken with mixed veg and Thai Basil sauce is soooo tasty and the green Thai curry is one of the best we've ever eaten. We'll be back again and again.....

Visited Mays Thai kitchen today, this is by far the best Thai in Merseyside. we have visited a lot of Thai restaurants and the food here was amazing. The cafe had a simple decor with that touch of Thai feeling. But this place is all about the flavours it was incredible. We will definitely be returning on a regular basis. Would be great laab gai snd jungle curry on the menu.

Fantastic value. Authentic Thai food. Accommodating of the fact we had a baby with us. Lots of Thai restaurants in Liverpool are style over substance and the food is underwhelming. This place is not. The food is fresh and so tasty. We will be back.

The food served is unbelievable - fresh, made to order, full of flavour & authentic Thai food...hospitality is 1st class along with the atmosphere, price & quality of dishes served...I cannot recommend this place enough !!

We have lived in Thailand and experienced some amazing Thai food and this was up there with the best we’ve had! The food was fresh, very authentic and unbelievably delicious. The service was brilliant, thank you! We spent the rest of the day discussing how much we loved it, which obviously means we will definitely be back!

What an absolute gem this place is. You walk in and it doesn’t feel like a restaurant at all, a huge warm local welcome, no uniforms, no pretence, it’s just like you’ve gone round for dinner in their front room.

If you like genuine Thai food cooked to order this is the place to eat. The flavours of all three meals I shared took me back to Thailand, the real Thai food not the tourist stuff. I can’t wait to go back. Incredible value as well.
