Great place this food is fantastic full of flavour and good quantity great service too.

Great restaurant, the food was delicious. I would recommend the seabass for main and banana fritter for dessert. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely go again 👍

Service was ok the food was unremarkable… it’s not that expensive so there’s that… not rushing to come back to be honest!

Came for a family members birthday, we was seated at the back in the upstairs room cramped against the wall, 5 minutes later a booking of 20 came in and tables were moved out into the middle of the room completely blocking us of and making us extremely cramped. Dirty plates and glasses weren’t cleared and ordered drinks twice which never arrived. The 2 young staff working were nice enough but wernt sure what they were doing and definitely needed more staff as the place was packed like sardines. The food was average, frozen calamari right out the box and spring rolls were dreadful. The pineapple rice was delicious though. If You haven’t been to Mays Thai restaurant in Taggart Ave., You don’t know what You are missing. First visit to this restaurant & all I can say is ‘Wow’. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, the decor was beautiful & the atmosphere was electric. My Mum had the Tom Yum soup which I tried which was flavoursome, she also had the prawn dippers which were very tasty. My dad had the Pineapple fried rice which was scrumptious & it was such a generous portion & I had the Sweet & Sour Fish, which was a wonderful tasting Sea Bass. We met one of the owners whom was charming & there were 3 rooms, every single one of which was full, on a Thursday night! I have never seen so many people come into a restaurant in such a short space of time, they were so accommodating though. When word gets round about this place it will probably be in the top 10 or so restaurant’s in Liverpool, it’s that good. My family & me will definitely be back very soon.

We've been desperate to try the new Childwall restsurant as it seemed like an age to eventually open as it appeared ready in January. Table booked for my birthday. On arrival, we were provided with menus and then waited nearly 30 minutes to order a drink! A group of what I would describe as dodgy looking blokes arrived who were served immediately. Still we waited. No apology. The Thai lady was walking around looking stressed as hell but wasnt really doing anything. The other staff were rushed off their feet. Food arrived quite quickly once ordered but disappointingly, it was average at best. I will return in a month or two as I'm hoping this is just teething problems and other reviews seem really positive. Fingers crossed!

Really great food with really friendly service

Run by a beautiful man and wife team ,often with daughter studying on a table amongst the sit down clients. This place is a little jem. Family run Family values. Truly restaurant quality food at takeaway prices. Food made with love,super fresh ingredients and attention to details that only local knowledge of the fare being offered for consumption. One of my top 5 places to eat and or takeaway in ALL LIVERPOOL! No licence, so soft drinks only I'm afraid, unless you get takeaway ofcourse. Cannot recommend this place enough. Some weeks I honestly struggle to stick to my "only once a week " limit.

We have attempted to visit this establishment twice now and despite google stating this cafe is open, on both occasions it has been closed when we arrived. The owners of this cafe should make an effort to update google with opening and closed times to avoid wasting potential customers time. For any future customers reading this I would avoid going to this cafe unless you have confirmation it is open. DO NOT assume it’s open when Google says it is

Little hole in the wall in the Dingle area, cash only, take away service was about a 30 min wait. But super reasonable prices and what absolutely fabulous taste! Fresh, flavourful and delicious. Recommend 100%!

Just picked up a takeaway from this unassuming place. Blown away. I lived in london for 20 years but the food here is right up with anything I had in the capital. The prices couldn’t have been any more reasonable either. I asked for mine Thai hot, whilst my partner had mild. Both our meals were absolutely packed full of flavour. My Thai salad blew my head off! Think we’ve just found a new fave place.

This little gem of a restaurant was absolutely fantastic! Light, flavorful and juicy. The prices are reasonable and the owners are very warm and welcoming. If you’re staying near Lark Lane, it’s absolutely worth the walk over, they won’t disappoint.

Been coming here for a few years now, few times a week most of the time. Better than most of the food you will get even in Thailand!

This place is beautiful. The broths are so rich that I melted into them. May is a banging cook. Her husband is a banging host, he had such a warm hospitality and made us feel so welcome. I would thoroughly recommend coming here. Simple food made from the soul, for the soul.

First time visiting this little family run cafe, which also provides a very popular takeaway service. A warm down to earth welcome and friendly atmosphere created by the owner who was really helpful in recommending what to eat and explaining the spice levels. I had the sea bass with ginger & garlic coupled with Jasmin rice, it was delicious. My friends had sea bass, chicken and veg dishes. All were excellent and between us we covered all the 3 spice levels available and the portions were very generous. The 3 chilli spice (hot) version is not for the feint hearted but equally as delicious as the mild & medium versions. I would recommend this as well worth a visit if you like Thai food or if you want to try it out, but do listen to the advice on the spice levels! If you don’t want to sit in, use the takeaway service.

Delicious, freshly prepared dishes that are not only beautifully light and authentic, the serving sizes are very decent indeed too. The prices make the whole meal simply excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

Really friendly welcome, they’d sold out of my favourite Thai dish (green curry) so was recommended Chicken Holy Basil and it was AMAZING! Really authentic, tasty and a proper kick of chilli heat. Having recently moved to the area I’ve been eyeing up coming for tea! Popped in on my own and was made to feel more than welcome by the two gents out front! Sadly they had run out of green curry but I was given some recommendations and went with the holy basil chicken? What a great choice ... super tasty and not too spicy! Having spent some time in Thailand I’m lucky to have this gem on the doorstep! Definitely will be back! Exited to become a regular!

What a great restaurant! Seriously good food.What makes this stand out are three things1. Staff and exceptional welcome and service from the moment you walk through the door2. Food - cooked fresh there and then. The owners wife cooks and the dishes we had of Holy Basil chicken and Sea Bass were so tasty and delicious.3. Spotless and I mean spotless! The owner explained how the business developed and invited us into the kitchen totally unannounced to meet his wife. The kitchen was immaculate and everything was being prepared from scratch.This was a great little find and beats all other Thai restaurants we have visited (and that’s plenty)We loved it here - great meal and we will definitely return

We have had takeout twice and I can say it’s the best two meals (Basil chicken) I have ever eaten. Portions are generous and it’s been enough for two, I cannot recommend highly enough, yes you wait, but it is made fresh, amazing fried rice and mIxed veg dishes, stunning

Visited here for the first time this evening - we weren't disappointed and will definately be back. On the table - Papya salad, holy basil chicken, holy basil shrimp, chicken soup and noodles, garlic chicken, rice with egg. All lush and on point!!

Just been to May's for some food tonight and it was absolutely gorgeous! Went with my mum, dad, brother and my two daughters one aged 4yrs and one 7months and they did beautiful food to suit the whole family. Absolutely buzzing with how nice it was! Would definitely recommend to anyone! Food takes a little while but that's only because it's being made fresh and it's definitely worth the wait!

Decided to try Mays Kitchen today 11/09/19, on a friends recommendation and we were not disappointed, we will be going back. Outstanding food and friendly service, very good price for what we had. We had the option to eat in or take away, we ate in. Great opening times, as its always difficult to find somewhere to eat after 2.30pm. Mays are open 12-8pm 6 days per week. Perfect!!! Cant wait to try something else on the menu.

We travelled up from london to visit friends and they were desperate to take us here. They kept waxing lyrical about the food and to be honest we thought it sounded too good to be true. However it 100% delivered!!! We just had the most insanely tasty, traditional Thai food. So fresh with exceptional flavours. You feel very relaxed, like you are in their front room and the service is extremely welcoming and friendly. We adore Thai food, we spent a lot of time in Thailand including going to a cookery class and have spent much time trying to find the authentic flavours in London and this is hands down is the very best we’ve found in the UK! Thank you!!!

First time I have ever been here with my friend Christine. Food was amazing and completely authentic to Thailand food. We had the chicken holy basil, prawn mixed veg and the Papaya salad. All of it was delicious can’t recommend enough. Service was fantastic and Ian was ever so friendly, customers just as friendly. It’s a true hidden gem. We visited May's last Saturday for lunch for the first time and loved it so much that were back again this week. Very friendly, attentive service; portions are a good size and prices very reasonable. The Chicken with mixed veg and Thai Basil sauce is soooo tasty and the green Thai curry is one of the best we've ever eaten. We'll be back again and again.....
