The Third Cafe in Liverpool

This might be the best vegan breakfast I’ve eaten so far. Fresh (!) falafel, tasty potato cake, excellent mushrooms, and everything else went so well with it! The interior is so cozy and welcoming, and really makes me want to wrap up in a blanket and read a book all day. Only the lemonade is more like a grapefruit-ade, not my thing, but eh, I could have checked

Got their almond pie with cotron ice cream on a cup of cocoa and chai tea. All good. It is a small cafe on the first floor with a view over the road, not so much space but otherwise fantastic, try to reserve a table

Whenever I stay in Liverpool I drop by here. Great veggie breakfast, good coffee, excellent customer service, nice decor, friendly vibes.

This spot is super welcoming, with a team that's as friendly as can be, serving up fantastic food that hits the spot. The WiFi held up well, allowing me to tackle some tasks while enjoying the ambiance. Plus, the music selection ranged from rock classics to catchy Abba tunes, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience. Overall, a top-notch spot for both productivity and enjoyment.

They were busy so a bit of a wait but that's a good sign. We had Veggie breakfasts. Pleased to report NO pretend sausage or bacon but a huge plateful of tasty stuff. Great coffee, all for less than 20 quid. Nice atmosphere with 60s to 80s music. Busy, noisy, great.

Super tasty food! I had the vegan breakfast and my partner had the veggie breakfast. I loved every component of it. Fresh, tasty, loads of great homemade elements. Would go back for sure. We both had a coffee each as well which were made well. And the staff are friendly.

Just been in this fine and quirky establishment for breakfast with my wife and kid for the first time. I am definitely not Veggie or Vegan but wow the Veggie breakie was superb. All credit to the chef. Will be back next weekend with a friend aswell as they'll love it here.

I've been coming here regularly for years with family and/or friends. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Great freshly cooked and prepared vegetarian food. Very good value.

💚 If you are looking for a nice and comfortable spot on Lark Lane with a veggie & vegan dishes and kitchen - you most certainly have to visit this restaurant. The entrance by stairs isn’t the easiest for everyone, but don’t let this discourage you- this magic place you will love is. The inside is very original and you can feel a family atmosphere. It’s like in home, comfortable and clean with background music from the late 80s. By the bar you can find, a few tables but if you need more space for family or friends then there are available more tables upstairs. The bathroom is that pretty that is reminds you of a secret garden. All the elements of the cafe - plants, figures and paintings give the place a sense of good atmosphere. And the important part- the food! It is all homemade and fresh 💚 The chefs put in their entire hearts in all the foods so the plates look and taste amazing. I promise that these pancakes you have never eaten. The dough melts in your mouth and the plates are served by the owner of the kitchen which put smiles on people’s faces. With this passion and determination to cook, formed a tasty kitchen where all these dishes are exceptionally delicious. The portions are big yet the prices small. Prepared are also cakes and cupcakes that are homemade by the owner, most of the foods are homemade even the sauces, lemonade and flavourings 💚 The service is amazing, everyone is helpful and from the very beginning you can feel the calm atmosphere - you just know you will come back. Even if it’s just for the sourdough bread. I recommend with my whole heart!

Used to come here when it was called green days cafe . First time eating here since it's reopened under a different name. Had the veggie breakfast £10 very filling sour dough toast was on point egg mushrooms potato cake beans grilled tomato greens and haloumi also got a side of harrisa mayonnaise all washed down with a blood orange san pelligrini magnificent

The food and the quality of it, if you don’t like stairs it’s not for you as you have to go up a lot but the service and feeling of appreciation for your custom is very good and worth the visit from the Wirral , plus lark lane shops and bars next to it are brilliant … 👍

Salad was poor :( came without dressing with really random ingredients including 3 lettuce leaves, watermelon, 3 pomegranate seeds, and orange wedges…sorry guys but if your a veggie establishment you’ve got to get the salads right. Also orders were messed up and my partner ate another persons order. Maybe I chose the wrong option as the breakfasts looked good. Hopefully this is positive constructive feedback as the place itself it’s lovely

Lovely cafe on Lark Lane slightly hidden away above a shop. Excellent coffee & great veggie/vegan food. We only went in for coffee but ended up having breakfast. Who could resist sourdough toast with peanut buttter, walnuts, banana & honey? Not me 😀

First visit & won't be the last. What a fab place, nostalgic, great art and personal touches make this place so welcoming. My food was delicious, sourdough bread toasted, halloumi, 2 fried perfectly eggs, and smashed avocado, huge pot of tea for sharing with a friend, and scrummy rhubarb sponge, homemade of course. Loved my morning here, thank you to the lovely people who work here.

Very homely and cute cafe on lark lane. Delicious veggie & vegan food. Price is on the dearer side (as expected of Lark Lane). Would recommend to visit, but be aware there is very limited seating

The quality and portion size is amazing

After having visited this magnificent place today I'm convinced that whenever someone comes to write The History Of The World's Greatest Cafes, there will undoubtedly be an entire chapter devoted to the quite tremendous establishment Carole has over there in Lark Lane. Faultless. GO NOW! (Well perhaps not quite 'now' as they're closed but y'know.....)

My favourite cafe in Liverpool, family run & everything is made from scratch. I always get the veggie breakfast or vegan quesadilla!

I found this café over a month ago quite by accident. I was steered to it by the assistants of Windmill organic food shop in Aigburth. The coffee I had that day was quite remarkable so today, I thought, I'd give it another go. OMG, I seriously have never had eggs on toast like this, for me being a strict controller of butter etc that goes into my body, this was quite decadent. It literally was the best eggs on toast I have ever had. I know sounds silly doesn't it, after all it is just eggs on toast....ONE BIG FAT NO. The sign of a good cook/chef is how he or she does the eggs. Most places that I go to,they are over cooked, dry and usually very similar to the character of rubber. The toast done to perfection and oozing. The eggs, bright, shining and so inviting to savour each little morsel. The chef knew to take them off the heat before fully cooked. So enough of the eggs...the sencha green tea was comforting and perfect in the little round pot and I felt rather posh pouring it into the dainty cup (I could have sat there all afternoon drinking it. The staff were very welcoming and tendered to every need without being too overt. The ambience and the music just divine. This is my favourite place and I shall make a special visit at least once a fortnight or when I can have an afternoon off work. This is how good the whole experience was. I have offered to do their plant pots, that stand at the entrance around the tables outside, with winter plants that I grow, just as a little thank you. If you ever visit Sefton Park then you just must at least have a little rest and cuppa here. A gem of a place.👌 This has come up as a notice on my phone with 700+likes.... It is still, I I suppose will never change, the best place you can possibly dine in that area. Quite a few people that I have met over the months have gone there through my recommendation and when I have bumped into them again they mentioned how great the café was. I hope that they survive this economic crisis as I have seen other places in my travels recently...Wales, Lake District, Chester and Herefordshire, to name a few, that have closed their doors. Massive luck to Third Café

A thoroughly lovely cosy place.

Excellent service. The food was absolutely delicious. We had mozzarella, tomato and pesto sandwich which came with an amazing salad which inluded fruit. Would highly recommend a visit to this lovely cafe.

Delicious vegan breakfast. Really nice options with hummus and falafel instead of fake sausages or fake bacon. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere and decoration.

Nice food and variety of ingredients and flavours. I tried the vegetarian breakfast, which came with baked beans, sourdough toasted bread slices with butter, a potato cake that tasted like mash potato, fried egg, avocado, halloumi and spinach. It all day, I would've probably preferred a bit more spinach and a bit less baked beans. Very friendly service, with some tables outside - would be nicer if they had sturdier tables and chairs outside, with some overhead cover (both for rain and sun).

Apart from the ones I make, they are the best roast dinners in Liverpool

The decor in this cafe is just gorgeous, what a lovely vibe and atmosphere this has The food was great and great vegan options Not sure how the mushrooms are cooked but they seem to taste tinned or just very over cooked. Mushrooms are my favourite vegetable but these were like pockets of oil. It would be better to substitute them for a different vegetable as this was the only thing on the plate I didn't finish

Just been treated for lunch here. Honestly I love this place after one visit. The BEST cheese on toast I have EVER had. The people there we super nice, and actively look for ways to make customers' experiences better. Highly, highly recommend

Absolutely terrific food and service and if you ever see a review that says otherwise there is a truly jealous local cafe owner nearby. Seriously the meals are first class and try the home made lemonade.

Really lovely vegetarian cafe with lots of interesting vegan options. Cosy, charming, very friendly and relaxed. All of the food we've tried has been delicious. Very fresh and we love that they include fresh fruit with the meals.

Very disappointed,been a regular customer since this place opened recommended to friends and family,just been for our usual Saturday lunch,on arrival put some bread to one side then sat down to eat,young lad who served us came to take our plates away and asked if he could bring us loaf,I said I would pay on way out,paid for food at counter and asked for bread only to be told I never ordered any! absolutely baffled and bemused and to add insult to injury short changed as well,only place I enjoyed eating at on lane..... won't be telling any one else to visit

Cute little cafe. Food was very good - we had cheese on toast with loads of veggies and smashed avocado on toast with a poached egg. Nice decoration with loads of plants. Also the bathroom mirror told me I looked great! Good service and cash only

Meal wasn’t very hot and wasn’t really impressed. It was a bit cramped and I wouldn’t go again. Was excited to have a vegan cafe in the area but in my opinion there are much better vegan/vegetarian places around Liverpool.

Amazing food and drinks. Freshly squeezed fruit juices and an amazing choice of teas fresh blended beautiful!! Really friendly atmosphere and the food is original and such a refreshing change from the run of the mill. A must visit.
