So glad to have had Café Bonbon recommended to me by word of mouth. What an excellently-run café! David is a friendly and accommodating proprietor, nothing seems too much trouble and he takes time to genuinely engage with customers. Placing an order a day in advance went smoothly. David was helpful and efficient in responding to both phone and email enquiries and his communication was excellent, which is always a godsend, especially these days. The sandwiches are fresh, tasty and made with care. Superb choice of fillings and dressings! The cakes are also delicious, fresh and interesting. All in all, good value for money. A wholly positive experience, and one that you only get when someone loves what they do. Looking forward to returning in the future! Thank you David and David.

Decent chip shop, service was good and I enjoyed the fish and chips. Generous portions with proper mushy peas.

Great night yet again all the staff are superb as is the owner who made us feel so welcome , food was superb we were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary

Excellent meal with family, all aspects of the evening were perfect. We didn’t book, but were greeted and seated as soon as we arrived. Drinks order taken, order for food taken when we were ready by brilliant staff. The steaks were perfect as was the wedge, and sauces etc.

Amazing food as always! Used to live just round the corner a few years ago, and usually got something to eat after a long day or if I felt lazy. This time, it was different, I went just for some comfort food, it is for me at least. No matter what I ate from here, it was always delicious and fresh. Today, my hot and sour soup and mixed grill were no different, very happy chappy here. Thank you and hope to see you soon.

Visited to meet a friend for coffee, this was a good half way point for us. Service was good, they had decaff option which was a plus, nice atmosphere.

I honestly never write reviews, but I’m writing this one as I’m still eating. I’m working away for the week and fancied something tasty, found these guys on google. Drove down and the lovely young lady on the counter greeted me and let me know that normally they only offer takeout when you’ve pre order. I was unaware of this, but she went to the kitchen to ask if they were free to do another order and they were! I got the chilli beef burrito and the nachos. WOW, amazing portions and the flavours are gorgeous!! So spicy and flavoursome. So glad I went! I’ll just be sad now knowing that I won’t ever get to have it again as I’m from the Lake District! If I’m ever back in the area I’ll 100% visit! Thanks guys!

Always a delight to have breakfast here. Proper full breakfast cooked and served to perfection by Holly and Gemma. There's nothing here to complain about at all. Always a warm welcome, and just a pleasure to make time here for a proper breakfast. What more can I say?

Removed my previous review as they clearly dont want to admit or rectify. Needs a deep clean. Smells of stale ale. Not friendly - bar staff more interested in laughing with mates. Waited 50 mins for 2 'bar snacks'. 1 other party of 2 in at the same time so not busy. Food less than average. No checks on table, no interaction from any staff. Avoid.

Fantastic bakery. Breakfasts are brilliant. Lot's of options. Friendly staff that are working extremely hard. Card/Cash both accepted.

Very welcoming as a lone diner. Excellent food, credit to the chef and staff here. The pie was delicious and it was lovely for the chef to come over to check if I was enjoying it, that’s unusual given most chefs hide away in the kitchen not to be seen, but a very nice touch from the chef. I highly recommend the homemade cheese & onion pie. Overall 10/10 and will definitely come back again to try the other pies. Thanks

What a great Sunday evening me and friends had. Speedy service with extra thanks to Alana for the great hospitality and making us feel so welcomed. We will definitely be returning.

A great local pub, just don't visit the toilets.
