First time ordering and won't be ordering again waited over hour n half nearly food was cold really small portions chips were freezing and half eaten do not recommend

Celebramos la vida en el pub el sábado por la tarde para mi difunto hermano. El propietario Wayne fue muy servicial desde la primera investigación hasta el evento real. Teníamos una zona del pub para nosotros. El personal del bar era amable y servicial a pesar de que los manteníamos ocupados a pesar de que tenían otros clientes para servir. El buffet que solicitamos era fresco y abundante , los rollos de embutido eran de los favoritos🙂. El pub y los baños estaban limpios y ordenados. Tuvimos una tarde encantadora recordando a mi hermano. Gracias a todos en The Raikes Hall

Un pequeño pub local fantástico fuera de la franja principal, con un gran personal del bar. Puede que no sea el lugar más elegante (¡a quién le importa!), pero lo compensa con creces en ambiente y diversión. ¡El karaoke del domingo por la tarde es imprescindible! Es la mejor manera de pasar cualquier tarde / noche! Hemos estado yendo allí los últimos 3 años en el gran fin de semana nacional, y hemos tenido una pelota cada año. El lugar está saltando, con todo el mundo disfrutando al máximo.Siempre hemos conocido a algunas personas encantadoras y nos divertimos. Muchas gracias al personal, y nos vemos de nuevo el año que viene.

I’m going to post this on here for anyone thinking of going to have a meal at the ‘Food Palace’ on whitegate Drive blackpool, don’t bother!!!! Yesterday was my dads birthday so we went just to celebrate there for meal. The starters were ok and hot. However, when the mains came they to say they were substandard was an understatement but not only that it was the absolute diabolical attitude of the waitress who served us that left us with a bitter taste in mouths and disappointment all round. The rice was disgusting thick stodgy and claggy we could not eat it so complained - the waitress said it’s always like this same every time which isn’t true as I’ve had takeout from there many times before and been fine. Then she changed her mind and told us it’s a different rice they have had to order in as usually get it from America 🇺🇸 well that’s obviously contradictory then!! So she had already brought our main course dishes out when she said I’ll bring you noodles instead to which we agreed 👍 and wouldn’t charge us for rice. While our mains are just sitting there going cold and waiting for the noodles to come a second batch of rice came out.!! Not sure why as we’d just agreed to noodles instead? I said to her my meal had gone cold whilst waiting for this to come and the batter on my prawns was now soggy, mum was eating her main on its own!! and dads hadn’t even come out yet! so she took mine away to get a fresh hot prawn one for me so then we are left to eat rice on its own with no mains!!!! wait it gets worse!! Didn’t think it could but it did. So the second batch of rice was not much better but at least edible eventually my salt and chilli king prawn came back and it was so heavy with thick batter on outside and was soggy inside I couldn’t eat it the first batch that went cold was better I’m certain the chef just reheated same one added more batter I ended up having to take out the prawn only inside I couldn’t eat the horrible batter!! So when we went to pay my dad and myself said to the waitress how poor the meal was and it was £76!!! The rice was £12.80 for a small portion to eat in you’d expect it to be at least edible !!! So we said we should not have to pay this full amount as it was dreadful and she had said initially we wouldn’t be charged for rice and as we couldn’t eat 3/4 of it. This was when her attitude changed completely she started to argue with me and my dad about it all she said well you’ve eaten it I said no we haven’t as we have had left over half of it after all this we could not eat it due to all these issues. Jesus Christ we ended up in a heated debate! we told her no wonder the restaurant is always dead inside with an attitude like this she said oh we do fine was busy last last night find that hard to believe always empty when we collect takeout she said she’d have to ring the manager about it he’s not on site as he has a chain of restaurants!! or we can wait till 11pm to talk to him when he comes into restaurant it was 7:30pm at this time! I said are you serious is this a joke ? I said I would never come back here again she said she didn’t care if we don’t come back we were gobsmacked in all my life I have never argued with any serving restaurant staff about a meal like this and my family have never been spoken to like this before over a meal I’m totally and utterly disgusted and fuming as it spoilt my dads birthday meal! Needless to say we are writing on here and I’m letting my friends know! We did get a reduction in the bill in the end but not without an absolute disgrace of an attitude and fighting for it and this should never have happened in first place. This place calls itself a restaurant! And for the extortionate prices nowadays they are charging you’d expect at minimal something you can eat !!! My advice to anyone thinking of going don’t because the food and service was disgusting and disgraceful!!! If I could give us no stars I would but it won’t let you.

Really good early Saturday meal, a relaxed atmosphere and great service. Graham was particularly welcoming and attentive.

De 4 comidas, solo 1 estaba bien! Pedí una papa de chile vacuno, adornada con queso y Doritos triturados. Tuve un trabajo difícil encontrar el chile, que era como mucho una cucharada. Había un pequeño chorrito de queso y quizás 1 Dorito triturado. La camarera pasaba por nuestra mesa y le dije que apenas había chile en mi papa. ¡Su actitud era como si la hubiera atacado personalmente! Tomó mi plato y dijo que se lo diría a la cocina, pero la comida ya está dividida, así que no hay mucho que puedan hacer. Así que obviamente esto es comida pre-preparada y en el microondas. Me lo devolvieron con lo que parecía más chile pero en realidad era solo salsa. Sin carne, sin frijoles rojos, sólo salsa de tomate picante. Huelga decir que no me lo comí. Una amiga tenía la chaqueta de pollo tirada que estaba tan seca que tenía que seguir agregando mayo y el "bacon" eran solo las chispas secas que compras en una tina. Una ensalada de pollo y tocino tenía las mismas rociadas con una pequeña cantidad de pollo rallado. La baguette de suero de mantequilla estaba bien. Mis amigos y yo nos reunimos regularmente para almorzar y nos gusta probar lugares que no hemos estado antes. Huelga decir que no volveremos a ir. Comida y actitud repugnantes y sin disculpas. Lamento no haber pensado en hacer una foto.

Visited with friends on ourannual trip to St Annes. Plan was to have lunch and then have a look round the garden dept and buy a few autumn plants. Mosy outside seats were taken but several available inside. We chose the one that seemed cleanest, (can you see where I am going with this), ie, the one with only a few crumbs. We chose two small scampi and chips, an egg mayo sandwich and a 'wrap', all with garnish and/or chips. Nothing too challenging about that lot. We were told that there would be a wait of 25 minutes. This at around 1:00 pm. We waited. And we waited. We had a bit of verbal catching-up to do with our friends so it did not matter. Or at least not too much. After abot 50 minutes I went to ask about our order but could see that in the kitchen area our order was being plated- up. Drinks that had a rrived maybe4 40 minutes earlier had been long since consumed. After maybe another 5 minutes they were served to us. The lady asked who had ordered what, we told her and our respective orfers were placed in front of us. No mention of an apology or the wait or even 'enjoy your food'. Not even so much as a smile. In fact I have to say that the lady looked thoroughly p..... -off, as indeed were we. Now to the food. Our scampi's were sort of ok as were the chips. The wraps were so so. My wifes egg mayo butty lacked content. Miniscule ammount of egg was made-up by maybe too much mayo, but only in the sense of this being as a proportion of the whole. By this time there were few diners left. We opted not to have a sweet as godness knows how long we would have had to wait for this. A couple of points. 1. We were fairly certain that customers who had ordered much later than us were served much earlier. 2. There seemed to me to be to be an absence of working- to- a -common- purpose amongst the counter staff. (I used to be in staff supervision and management, though not in the catering industry I have to say). Not a good experince, and importantly, one we will not be repeating. By this point, time was moving on and wewanted to be enjoying the sea air, so no time to look round the garden section. We later had coffes and do-nuts at the pier cafe in St Annes. Pleasant and prompt service and possibly the best do-nuts I have ever had, a thoroughly pleasing experience. When I read past reviews, I notice a pretty common thread running through them. I also note that in no case have the management made a response. They certainly seem not to take any of them on board

Very poor fly's on the pasties should not be allowed with fly's on food should not bother buying from this store as we didn't.

El mejor desayuno inglés que he tenido en los viajes, los nuevos propietarios haciendo un buen trabajo de ella, probé el desayuno escocés al día siguiente, pero no era la mitad de agradable que los ingleses, buena suerte en su nueva empresa volveremos seguro cuando visite

Chip rebozado y salsa (con queso) bap - increíble ! ! ! ! ! Hamburguesa de pollo fresca caliente y deliciosa como de costumbre La mejor tienda de patatas fritas en Blackpool y ha sido desde que recuerdo ¡Las patatas fritas son patatas fritas!

He visitado este lugar varias veces y nunca me decepcionó aparte de esta última vez, tal vez era un día libre o el chef no apareció, pero si recibe una comida como yo esta vez, asegúrese de quejarse! Se suponía que era una ensalada de pollo, no tenía pollo, nada como la foto del menú.

£15 for chips & pudding twice ! Very expensive for the quality of the food , chips were terrible, undercooked and tasteless , pudding cooked in the microwave and was rock hard due to it being overcooked ! Im not one for leaving negative reviews but when you’re charging top dollar I expect more. I’m afraid you need to up your game - only positive was the guy serving was really friendly and polite - I definitely won’t be going back ☹️
