Great atmosphere, great staff and great prices. Really enjoyed my night in here, just wish I had found it the day I arrived and not the last night.

So went to the loo which I can't say are the best but as I was coming out of the cubicle there's a woman with her dress up round her waist knickers round her ankles peeing on the floor. Just stood there peeing! Then looked at me and said "what?" Filthy cow. I stepped over the pool of pee and a younger woman came through the door. Told her she might want to avoid but she said"that's me mam". Really enjoyed the atmosphere in this pub and it's not the landlady's fault but come on if this is the sort of people it's attracting I won't be going in again. Absolutely hanging

Visited after a recommendation, and we weren’t disappointed! Ok, the decor is ‘authentic’, the gents toilets were smelly, the ladies smelled of mould, but they had soap, water and a dryer, and we had a brilliant time in the pub with friendly locals and visitors. The kareoke was great fun, with both good, bad and abysmal singers, just what a kareoke should be. I can’t comment on the serving as my husband got the drinks, but the tables were cleared regularly and they have beer mats which is unusual these days! We will definitely be back for a fun afternoon/night out next time we’re in Blackpool.

Absolutely great wee pub with lots of atmosphere and the karaoke guy Roy was outstanding was so fair with requests ( even sung paradise by dashboard ) with me . Until next year lifeboat ☺️☺️

Respect your locals no name if your bar staff respect me I will respect them back so obnoxious just because I took someone's drink by mistake anyway as long as this reaches out to one person and stops them going in I have done my job . Ps the land owner no deacenty to answer emails to theres a suprise stuck up for there staff .

Always visit the lifeboat when in Blackpool but I have to agree what's been said smelly toilets etc but the bar staff always been OK with us but there biggest downfall was letting Lorraine and George go they made that pub not the same we saw them next door I ma Kelly's brilliant afternoon

The whole pub is disgusting, floor is sticky, the filthy tables, the walls dirty, doors you dont want to touch with your bare hands, the ceiling is still a nicotine yellow. It looks like the place hasn't been decorated (or cleaned!!) for over 30 years. It's dark inside but it does not hide the mucky surroundings, every surface feels and looks unclean. Very much feels like a health hazard and there is an urge to go straight home to shower. Forgot to mention the toilets, horendous combination of urine and the most strongest bleech smell . I don't know how it's possible for a toilet to smell so overpowering of bleech yet still feel and stink so bad. It churns your stomach everytime some unfortunate individual opens the toilet door and lets our a blast of wee and bleech flavoured air into the bar for all to inhale. It's worse on a hot day, the bleech and urine seem to have some sort of greenhouse effect. So if it's 25 degrees outside it feels like 50 degrees inside. Finally the staff, don't argue with the bar maids. If you ask for a pint of lager and one of them pour you a guiness, just politely say thankyou, wish them a nice day and take your pint they have chosen for you to your sticky table. Same for being charged different amounts, you may get charged 10 quid for your round, then your mate gets charged £9.20 for the same drinks, just go with it. No point disagreeing with them as she will attack you like a rottweiler as they are always right. The door man is great though and a good laugh. There is the usual tone deaf standard of drunken blackpool karaoke singers. Listening to the screeching down the microphone helps to distract from the unpleasant surroundings you find yourself in I suppose. Still the place gets busy somehow so there is a type of clientele that seem to like the pre smoking ban nicotine tinge of the ceiling, the sticky tables, dirty surfaces and the stench from the toilets. I have a mate like this who drags us all to this hole everytime we visit Blackpool. For me one pint is enough, have a quick giggle about the place and check if they have painted over the nicotine yet (answer is always no). But then i can't wait to get out into the sunlight to breath fresh air, decontaminate myself and cool down from the Venus atmosphere of urine and bleach inside. Sorry for the not so raving review but recalling this place makes me feel unwell with the urge to vomit. Despite being over 100 miles away right now I feel I can still taste the air in the place. The building needs knocking down.

Really lovely quaint little karaoke bar good price drinks friendly staff lovely atmosphere not the Ritz but a great place and the dj will always find your song very accommodating definitely will be back $3.90 double house vodka and coke! X

absolute dump the toilets are a disgrace yer eyes start watering when you use them you wipe your feet when you leave not when you walk in the bar staff are the most misrable you could have behind a bar go to doors down to the ardwick cheaper and spotless and the bar staff are polite and friendly.

Came to blackpool as a change of scenery. Day sesh included the lifeboat Inn. Karaoke was on. Went in for one stayed for longer. Good atmosphere. Crowd included each other in sing alone. The pub was heaving in customers.djs very cheerful and happy. The security guard got involved also. Staff seemed happy and smiling. Didn't get to sit down as no seats however this isn't a negative. Tables could be cleaned often as alot of spillages to keep the uplift in cleaning. However this never effected our time here. Obviously dog friendly which I didn't mind. The toilet needs checking more often though as I went twice with a hour apart period n same puddle on the floor - safety concern there. Nice pub n would definitely pop in again.

Went in for karaoke. Advertised open till 12, it wasn't. At 10.40 karaoke stopped and we were asked to finish our drinks. When the customers started complaining we were told by the rudest barmaid that it was an independent pub and they could do what they want! Never will we be going there again. It's a dive bar, manky and smelly too!

Well we went into this pub just off the prom .called lifeboat inn foxhall rd .the barstaff was miserable and sat behind the bar on there phones it was not busy but we felt it was to much trouble for them to serve us.no smiles or please or thank you from the 2 women behind the bar .when we sat down the smell from the toilets was disgusting they look like they had not been cleaned in months.. and the carpet in the main room your feet stuck to it as did the tables anything you put down stuck there.in fact nothing in the place looked clean theres one thing about old pubs but this one takes the piss and stinks of it .literally it should be reported to health services just to say we wont go back

I visited this place for the first time and it’s fair to say I will be the last!! The service was terrible, no manners at all. The ginger haired lady was extremely rude, while the rest of the staff sat at customers tables with their feet up! When sat down with my drink, everything stuck to the table as if it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Phones, drink, in fact anything stuck to it… terrible

We went to the Lifeboat for karaoke as we always do when in Blackpool and were gutted to find out that Lorraine and George who have done the karaoke for years were no longer there and had been sacked. George and especially Loz were the life and soul of the pub and got everyone involved. The guy who was doing the karaoke had no charisma and there was no interaction with customers which is probably why there were not many in. We later found out that George and Los were on in Ma Kelly's next door Mon to Thurs and went and had a great time with them. John n Wendy Liverpool

The covid arrangements were good. I wouldn't normally go to a Karaoke session and really didn't expect one so early on a mid-week afternoon. The folks enjoyed themselves so that is the main thing. The lady behind the bar was lovely and so friendly.

Took a walk into this dive of a pub after reading other reviews. What a shock I was in for. Even after seeing the state of this place, I stupidly ordered from the menu. The cold, tasteless mess was barely edible. Rude staff and watery beer added to the misery of this hole. Avoid.

Recently visited this pub for the first time such a lovely welcome on entering the premises bar person Julie was such a joy she was so friendly and jolly. Then we met the lovely Lorraine and George who ran the pub and karaoke very friendly and obliging made everyone feel welcome and they were so entertaining themselves best karaoke bar in Blackpool. My husband and I had a fab afternoon there and all the customers who entered joined in the fun and made it a brilliant atmosphere.

Have to say what a fantastic welcome again after 12 months. Have had a lovely day with George, Lorraine and the friendly lady behind the bar. They all made everybody so welcome, and was fantastic karaoke for all customers who were enjoying it as much as us .

Love this place, been coming here years. Coach load of us went yesterday the 21St.. down side is far to hot, needs some kind of air con or fan's. Kept on going outside for air. Men's toilet door needs a decent lock on it.hope the lock is fitted next time we visit. Otherwise brilliant.

As I’ve been updating my trip advisor today, I’ve seen a few reviews which I think have been unfair. I think a lot of people expect a uniformity when going out to pubs, as you get with clubs especially in Blackpool, it’s all the same old stuff, same music, same people etc. This pub is different and has survived the changes in time by being different. It totally encapsulates the ‘good old British pub’.

I travel all over the country for my particular business, mainly to review small guest houses for a new internet business. I only visited this pub because it was around the corner from a guesthouse I was staying at.

Had A Lovely Time Whilst on my Summer Holiday, First time , I have been too Blackpool and one of my highlights was visiting this great bar in the heart of Blackpool, Great karaoke and warm atmosphere, George and Lorraine both absolutely lovely, I even got up and sang ( 1st time ever, thanks Lorraine) would recommend this place wholeheartedly and can’t wait too visit again in November When I See The Blackpool Lights Switched On.

I have been coming to Blackpool every year since my wedding in 2012, I happened upon this pub purely by chance and had a wonderful time up until this year.

Popped into the Lifeboat Inn for one drink in the afternoon, ended up staying for five hours! This was mainly due to the wonderful bar lady (Julie) who made us feel so very welcome.

I have been going into the lifeboat for many years, when I come on holiday. It's great to see the same Landlady, Nancy, she has always made me very welcome, and Julie behind the bar can't do enough to help, then there's Karen who is definitely a character, lovely lady once you get to know her. Then there is George and Lorraine who do the karaoke (lovely couple) on about 4 nights a week. Unfortunately they did have a problem with the drains, but I think that's fixed now. I would recommend this pub to anyone. In fact I came up from Littlehampton to get married in Blackpool, so I could have my wedding reception in the pub.

Great wee pub nice staff great punters had so much fun we went in on way to hotel to get changed to go for dinner ended up staying all night. Great atmosphere

I came here a few years back with family and had a really great weekend. It was my fathers birthday and we were made to feel so welcome,I decided to come again as a homage to my father who passed away this January and to see the lovely people I had met before. I brought my wife, my brothers and their wives and we planned our weekend away around being at the lifeboat every evening.

Visiting this place for the first time on a weeks holiday in Blackpool and what can I say..Amazing!.Great atmosphere, friendly people and George and his partner were excellent lovely hosts.A very nice couple indeed. Karaoke was a blast! Ended up going 3 days in a row with my brother Toni and our partners.Great sound system and music to cater for any & every era and generation!. Met some new friends and it is by far the best place to go for a day/night out in Blackpool.Will defo be back next year!! A big thank you to everyone at the Lifeboat Inn for giving us some memorable moments in a short space of time. 10/10

A group of 6 of us are on holiday here for a couple of days, some from Australia. Fantastic pub we just so happened to come by as we wanted to do karaoke. The publicans/hosts, George and Lorraine, made us feel completely welcomed. The karaoke runs well through the day and into the night and was a blast. I would absolutely recommend this place.

Just got back from the best 4 days ever spent in Blackpool .... Lorraine and George are such brilliant hosts in this pub ..the very well organised kareoke makes it ! We as a group love this pub. Never fails with a superb freindly atmosphere. Great karaoke and decent beer. Hosts wont let idiots in so not ruined by hen or stags but has a slightly older clientele which makes it more relaxed while still so freindly and fun. See you again soon.

This was a brilliant pub where karaoke rules. Lots of entertainment watching people sing, George and Lorraine also get up and do some singing as well. The drinks are a reasonable price and the ambience is fantastic, we felt at home straight away.

We had a great afternoon in the lifeboat Reasonable pricing and a good pint is always a good recipe to put you in the mood, as is the atmosphere. Really enjoyed singing along with the karaoke stars :-) We’re looking forward to our next visit.

I would never go then again dirty grubby place with bar flies everywhere. I even went outside in my wheelchair to sit in cold because beer was that awful and barflies making my skin crawl and the smell was awful smelt of mould and damp which they had tried to mask over with air freshener

After a long cold walk along the Promenade, wife needed a comfort stop so we ducked into this little ripper.

My husband and I stumbled upon this great traditional British pub with the added bonus of karaoke. Just what we were looking for, we ended up staying about 7 hours and the time flew. George and Lorraine are amazing hosts who are full of energy and really work hard.

Found this little pub whilst on a break with my husband. Yes, it could do with a lick of paint and perhaps some new seating, but what a welcoming atmosphere, George & Lorraine work hard at running the bar & karaoke each evening & keeping the atmosphere going. It is obviously a "local" pub & a pub that is visited regularly by previous holiday makers, so to have repeat business speaks for itself. We were made to feel welcome by the locals and will definitely be going back and would recommend those who enjoy karaoke & don't want anything fancy give this place a try!!

This is a small but busy establishment, good quick service at the bar. Karaoke was on and everyone was having a great night unfortunately we were forced to leave as the smell from the gents toilets every time someone went in or out was just so bad other than that it’s a great wee pub

We were in Blackpool for a couple of days, so looked on Tripadvisor for good pubs, the Lifeboat being number 1 so we gave it a try.

This was our first visit been passed on many many occasions this time we all fancied a pint and something to eat and we were not disappointed the atmosphere in the place was fantastic and the food was good also will defo call in again

Came for the darts, 3 couples and called in the life boat for s quick drink, ended up staying 5 hours, we didn’t want to leave, absolutely fantastic atmosphere and so friendly, we met new people and had such a laugh, amazing thank you for the music.

Came across this pub last night after the 'front' pubs were not to our liking. Good atmosphere. Good karaoke lead by George and Lorraine. She even wiped the mic in between singers! Could do with an upgrade but then that's what we thought about the whole town. Will go again.
