I love burritos, have always been a massive fan and I have over 30+ orders online with Listo. Sadly the chicken quality just seems to be a little poor nowadays. I have come across several bones which makes biting into the burrito a bit more difficult and less enjoyable as you’re trying to not hurt your teeth. I ordered the food and it came swiftly, but the burrito was sadly very lukewarm in temperature. The chicken strips were lovely, hot and fresh, fantastic BBQ sauce.
Maybe I am comparing too much to Plan Burrito (a fantastic small chain) as the food is good, but it’s just not that tasty. Maybe the temperature of the burrito was a big factor in the flavours all forming together, even the cheese hadn’t melted on the inside.
Good points:
- Chicken Strips are fantastic and good quality
- BBQ sauce dip is super
Bad points
- Burrito temperature inadequate
- Bones with chicken filling are frequent
Went here to watch Newcastle match The pub is very ropey and looks run down. There was a click of locals at the end of the bar who were very vocal. The older gentleman who I assume was the manger came over and was friendly but the younger guy behind the bar took an instant dislike to us. Upon leaving my wife accidentally knocked over a stool which was cheap and light as a feather she apologied but the bar man started shaking his head and made a rude comment. I challenged him about his attitude and we left. 2 points here, locals - keep your comments to yourselves and barman change your attitude no wonder this place is empty when others are busy. Very unfriendly place do not go here.
Visted dv8 for lunch. Food was delicious, hot and great value. We were served by Mia, who provided a brilliant table service. She helped us to choose from the menu. We sat outside, lovely atmosphere. We will be returning. Thank you.

So disappointed tbh we were rushed rushed rushed the waitress kept coming and mithering us we felt so pressured to leave the food I felt wasn’t good very disappointed indeed won’t be going there again
Really quaint little village shop that's a bit like Mar Poppins handbag.
Don't know how they can cram soooooo much stuff into such a little shop
Really fairly priced and alot more on offer than just the expected famous 'sticky toffee pudding' which is to die for and us served hot to take away

Spa needs to be extended to match the growing accommodation. Didn't get chance to do much in the spa because it was so busy. They also stop serving food very early in the spa deli so be prepared to go all day without eating if you have treatments booked in the afternoon. Long waits at reception. Check your bill as they do try to charge for things you haven't had or received.
A great pub in a nice location with good food that never disappoints.
Good solid pub menu with a nice addition of regularly updated specials that keep things interesting.
Friendly, family run feel to the place which always has a good atmosphere and never feels overcrowded.
Absolutely fabulous experience. Very welcoming and attentive. Owners and staff are personable, and take the time to engage with care and interest.
The food is delightful! Flavoursome, great portion sizes, fantastic food with great selection and the staff are well versed and knowledgable on the menu.
The owners and staff continue to express growth and interest in what will work in the restaurant, style, food and drink offerings. Constantly exploring new options that are in keeping with the area.
I couldn’t recommend Broadway Steakhouse Heswall enough. It’s a ‘must’ to visit and enjoy the delights they have to offer.
Their sister restaurant in Bebington is also lovely.
Salt & Pepper serves a generous amount of food for each order. We got the Salt & Pepper Chicken, the Sticky Beef and the Honey Soy Beef. The flavouring for the different meat was on point - the Salt and Pepper Chicken nicely coated in a savoury batter, and has the taste of what salt and pepper batter would be in Asia, the Sticky Beef, albeit a little too vinegary, had a good amount of sauce and sesame over it, and the Honey Soy Beef satisfies the craving of those who wants something sweet and salty. However, out of the three dishes, we recommend the flank beef. It was less tough than the other two meat - after a while of chewing the chicken and sticky beef left our jaws a little locked and sore. Choose fries over rice - the fries were crispy and fluffy and soaks in the honey soy sauce well (it is what I would come back for). The rice... was not as aromatic as we hoped it would be. Loved the variety of sauces too.
