If youâre looking for high quality food and friendly faces itâs the first place I would recommend. Thereâs 100% something on the menu for anyone whether you like it spicy or mild and no matter what you decide just know that it will be the best food youâll find you a great price and always amazing quality. Iâve been eating this food since I was a kid and Iâve grew up loving it and growing up with the menu constantly evolving and becoming even more incredible each time. In short get yourself down here you wonât regret it.

The food and service was generally quite good but beware, this can be a very noisy restaurant at peak times. It was hard having a conversation with your dining companions even sat on the other side of your same table. Also, we had two different wines, both were sadly disappointing.

The worst two Haddock and chips we have had from here. Whilst the chips were adequate, the fish was watery, mushy and thoroughly horrible in undercooked, soggy batter. I don't know if the personnel have changed but this offering was definitely substandard. It still seems that if you go into the shop, you get decent food but for some mysterious reason, get the food delivered and it is a different story. Sorry but this time is the last time. There is nothing worse than looking forward to something, then being disappointed.

I started a so called loyalty card a few weeks ago and noticed on Tuesday 10th a sign on the bar saying that the loyalty scheme was ending on the 14th, I called around 4ish today to claim my free pint only to be told it ended on the 13th !!!!! I reminded them today is the 13th!!!! and was told it ended 12pm on the 12th so much for loyalty!!

Just wanted to commend one of your staff members for her excellent customer service. We popped in to the river bar on Saturday 09th November for a drink around 7:30pm! We were part of large group of people on a hen party. We ordered 2 salted caramel espresso martinis. When they arrived they werenât as stated on the menu. I mentioned this to the bar staff and they said they didnât have the ingredients. I mentioned that the price didnât reflect the drink then as it wasnât been served as stated on the menu. We ended up with the bar manager (a man). He took the martinis off us, attempted to throw cash back at us and was the rudest, arrogant member of staff I have ever come across in my years of visiting the river bar/fiume. He refused to give a name or complaint address and spoke to us in a despicable manner. How he was ever hired in customer service in general never mind as a manager is beyond me. However, as we were about to leave we had a saving grace with the manager over seeing the whole establishment. DANIELLE WISDOM (I hope I got this correct), came over and asked us to step outside, so we could whatâs each other, to resolve the issue. She was polite, understanding and an absolute credit to the business. She offered to make us 2 normal martinis which we were more than happy with and handed her the money straight over that has been thrown back at us! She was calm and warming and listened to everything we had to say. In our years off visiting we have seen Danielle around and are pleased she has made it to a higher position. She sorted the problem quickly and efficiently and we canât commend her enough. We hope she gets the recognition she deserves as she manages to keep customer service how it should be whilst running the business! Hats off to a wonderful manager. đđŒ
