Food was delicious, staff were friendly and efficient asking if everything was ok during our meal, not a bad price, could have had the 2 course special, but fancied something different

Recenly attended Flume as we have been here before We noticed much to our disappointment that the menu has changed dramatically and alot of favourites have gone Even certain sauces which is a shame My Daughter booked months in advance For a table with menu choices as required for all We arrived at the Restaurant only to be told I and 1 other would have to order something else as they did not have my order after ordering months ahead My Daughter also wanted a sauce with her meal only to be told sorry we haven't got that When my meal and others at our table arrived it was very bland And I left most of it as did other members in our party It was such a shame as it was a favourite place to go And food used to be good Sadly I don't think we shall be returning

We celebrated our golden anniversary here with our family there was 18 of us, we have always used fuime for family celebration and often me and hubby would go for lunch and never been disappointed, however the menu has changed and not as many choices most of us found it difficult to pick something in advance food was ok but not what it used too be. Had we have had more time to find another restaurant that could have catered for 18 people we probably would have. Sadly don’t think we will be returning which is a shame.

Nice enough restaurant but poor service, miserable staff and over salted, inedible food. We were given a bit of a discount because of the food but we won't be back.

Beautiful food however the staff were appalling, if your face doesn’t fit! Such a shame because the food I couldn’t fault it.

Been to this restraunt on numerous occasions for a family of 18 and often just me and hubby never been disappointed but tonight it was a family meal for our golden wedding anniversary it was a party of 18 we did drop off pre orders with it being a big party and although we made some mistake with the orders we were disappointed with the service we waited a long time for drinks we even asked if the drinks on the bar was ours it took quite a while to serve them our bill was just under £700 don’t think I will book another family gathering at fuime the menu has changed and not as good as it was we did enjoy our food but the service was poor.

We always go here for lunch get togethers & it was always nice.. now today however the menu has changed, not so much choice & huge increase in prices. the garlic bread was lacking garlic, same with the garlic bread with tomato - tasted like tomato puree & again no garlic. the pasta dishes were all bland. The brushetta was nice & our waitress was lovely, but may have to look for new venue in future..

Menu has been changed with most of the more popular pasta dishes removed. Also pasta tasted very bland. New burgers looked good, but I preferred the classic Italian menu. Will probably go elsewhere now if I fancy Italian food but consider here for a burger.

Myself and my husband enjoyed a meal here today.As someone who grew up in an litalian restaurant, I am hard to impress. The Food was absolutely delicious 😋 and the staff attentive and friendly. Highly recommend them.

Meal & service absolutely spot on.

We had our wedding reception in the Acqua Bar with 40 guests. Management and staff could not of been more helpful from booking the reception to the end of the reception. They allowed us in the day before to dress the room etc and were so helpful. On arrival staff were happy to help us no matter what our requirements were. We asked for the food to be served earlier than originally planned and they bent over backwards to accommodate. Once served the food was beautiful and lots of it as well. All of our guests were so complimentary of the food. At the end of the day the manager came to see us to wish us well for our future together with a bottle of wine. Thank you Fiume for helping to make our special day even more special.

Fillet steak with peppercorn sauce is the best around!

Food is excellent, very good value and the service is first class. Bit noisy from the bar downstairs.

Haven't been for a couple of years but as last time was so good we thought we'd go again Totally disappointed My bolognaise pizza was tasteless . Don't know where they hid the bolognaise sauce but I certainly never found it . My partners glass had lipstick marks around the rim and his Kiev pizza was definitely lacking .

Lively Italian restaurant overlooking river. Decent food but service was slow on this occasion.

Good Food. Staff very attentive but not intrusive. One of our "go to's" For Italian food.

Food was disappointing, bolognaise pizza lacked bolognaise and pasta portions were very small. Service was ok, a few mistakes with order but these were rectified.

Waited 15 mins to be seated even though booked a week in advance. Waitresses bit sulky at first. Burger nice! Garlic mayo lacked taste. Pizza and pasta nice. Deserts lovely.

Calamari was foodgasmic , the only let down was the fact that it was only a starter 😂. Guess next time I'll just have to order three starters as my main .

Found this little gem. By the river above a bar. The place had a real buzz regardless of it being about 18:30. The food was lovely and the service good. I had the rosemary and salt garlic bread, which was excellent and so fresh tasting. Then the Fiume pasta, which again was very tasty. I look forward to returning.

Visited this restaurant in August 2023 having done about 15 mins research in the local area. Stayed locally on our trip North and needed something quite late notice. Phoned ahead, fitted us in with about 45 mins notice. Once we arrived we found the staff professional and accommodating. Could have been quicker with the bill at the end but the food and service were spot on. Will happily visit again on our journey North this year. Highly recommend the food and restaurant.

Had a mother's day dinner out. There was 5 of us . Ordered a beef dinner . The beef was stringy and couldn't cut it. Waitress came with 2 more beef very thin slices and still couldn't eat one of them.. 2 roast potatoes ? Mash , watery turnip , about 3 thin roasted carrots 6 peas and very small cut up broccoli. And a Yorkshire pudding I could hardly cut into. It was so hard and the whole dinner was just warm. Not only myself but the rest of my party agreed. To pay £120 was shocking ( minus a couple of drinks)Very very disappointed

As usual the food was fab, service was great, lovely little blonde waitress don’t know her name but she was just lovely. Will continue to keep coming back. High recommend 😀

ate there 5 week previous and was really good, went saturday 2-3-24 and was disappointed. girls serving were pleasant however had to wait 15min for table in cold bar area then waited what seemed s lifetime for starters and mussells were dry when they eventually came and not enough sauce. we all had some form of pasta meals and average at best, not enough sauce and overpowered by pepper seasoning. the table we were on was directly under air vent so most of party cold during meal. considering we paid £80 couple did expect better; lets hope this was just a one off bad night

Always amazing food and great service in this clean and well presented local restaurant. Good choice of Italian food and a nice selection of drinks. Never had a bad meal here.

Great service great food good prices

Hubby and I had the roast beef Sunday lunch. Very tasty, piping hot. Very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble.

Service very poor and restaurant wasn’t busy. Waited 45 mins from finishing starter to getting mains. Too long with two children. Ordered Sunday lunch and was told no Yorkshire puddings left. Can’t really see how a restaurant can run out of a fundamental ingredient on a Sunday dinner! Overall disappointing. Would like a response to this if that’s possible as I’m curious as to what happens to these reviews?

Had a surprise birthday lunch here today on Friday 23rd Feb. All the family were. This review is to commend all the staff on duty that day. They were fantastic ensuring we had everything we needed very pleasant and could not do enough to ensure we had a fab time. Thank you so much. X

Pleasant food the restaurant was very busy while I was there so quite noisy but not an issue.

It was the perfect place to take our grandchildren during the holidays. We've eaten there many times with our brother and sister in law.

Fiume was lovely. There was a party of 6 of us and the drinks and food were brought out in a reasonable time considering how busy they were. Lots of children there as children ate free with an adult during half term so there was some noise but not too much. Would definitely recommend.

The waiting staff in particular were really friendly and polite. They were very patient with us and made time for the child in our party. The food was really nice and the kids meal was free so the food was excellent value for money. The temperature in the restaurant was nice and the toilets were clean and well stocked. Would definitely return!

Always love the atmosphere at Fiume. Fabulous value for money as the food is always lovely. Maybe a little too much garlic on the garlic bread for socialising lol Love that I can get half and half pizza/pasta!

First time there and will definitely he back. Lovely food and very reasonable price.

Overall a very good experience. Wife's pizza and pasta and her garlic mushroom starters was very nice. I had chicken wings starter which tasted nice but the wings lacked meat and was a bit skinny. But made up for by the fiume burger which was fantastic. The children's make you own pizza and ice cream desert is great how they bring the ingredients out to you and the little treasure chest for ice cream toppings. Overall a 5 star and will go back again

Sunday roast dinner was good, service was great and overall we were happy. The roast potatoes could have been crispier and we would have liked less gravy since the plate was literally swimming (maybe we'll ask to have this served separately next time) also it tasted like everything was heavily seasoned with pepper. But on the whole we had a good meal and the wine was nice too, we'll probably come back again.

Used to visit this restaurant regularly but hadn’t for a while. Very disappointing this time. Although we’re arrived 10 minutes early, we were seated 15 minutes after our booking slot to the table (even though other tables were available). We had to ask for second round of drinks so waitress service was lacking in attention to our needs / requirements. Food was only luke warm (both starter and main course). Felt like it had been sitting a while before it was brought to our table.

I throughly enjoyed the food here , the staff were fantastic , loos are clean and tidy . Will certainly have another drive through ,probably in the summer so I can make use of the fantastic outdoor area.

Enjoyed a long lunch very much. Calzones were exceptional although too large for some. Staff were great too. Would like to see clearer signs for the accessible entrance please.

We go to Fuime alot as the food is lovely, service was very slow on this visit though. We waited 45 mins for our starters. Luckily out little girl is well behave but even she was bored after being sat there for a long time between courses. The food was very nice though so it won’t put ha off going back.

My partner had fillet steak, and he said it's the best steak he had ever tasted cooked to perfection. I had half pasta half pizza, and it was delicious, 😋 service was quick. the only thing I could improve was for the waitresses/waiter to smile a bit more 😄 all in all, I loved it

Lovely food. Pizza and pasta were delicious. So pleased the chunky chips are back on the menu. Service was good but had to wait a while for second soft drink to arrive, after requesting it.

Lovely meal, pizza was huge so we shared and I really wanted some herbal tea so one of the ladies serving us gave me some of her own. What a kind gesture. We were totally stuffed and the food was really nice and came quickly. Forgot to take pics.

Food order taken by friendly staff. However, the food that came out wasn't what we asked for and was mediocre when it was changed. My particular pasta was very salty. This was the Texan sausage pasta. The room was very drafty. We sat with coats and scarves on. Not a great experience to be honest.

Tony and Cori were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, we had zampone with linguine and al forno rigatoni. Garlic pizza could’ve been cooked a little longer for our taste but the restaurant was busier than usual so no real complaint. Will be back .

We did walk in at 16.00 on a Friday evening without a booking. On arrival looked like there was sonky one table of customers. The restaurant had later bookings and were not willing to accommodate us even though we probably would've been gone by the time there bookings were due in 17.00 or 17:30. Told us they were fully booked in an empty restaurant. Luckily we walked along the road who were much more accommodating and they got out £100+ bill.

Ordered meal at 6.10pm main course did not arrive until 6.55pm and was only lukewarm so 3 out of 4 dishes were sent back to be reheated. Service was not that good. We were all disappointed with everything so we will not be eating here again or recommending to anyone!

A lovely and warm environment. The staff are so attentive and friendly and the food is fantastic. Cannot fault the experience the few times I have been. I would absolutely recommend this place to anywhere. On the last visit the staff were so kind and great with my four year old son.
