Always try and visit this pub whenever we come up to Sunderland. Friendly pub and proper landlord. Great jukebox,range of beers and sky sports.

Great owner and chef. They are very polite and everything is cooked from Scratch and you can tell. Garlic chilli stir fry and Green curry was lovely. Will definitely be back !!!

We wanted food, but unfortunately, it was finished. The bar lady came to show us other places we could eat. She was so kind, we decided to stay for a drink or 3! It was quiz night and the pub was busy, but the lady said there was sausage casserole later on. When the quiz had a break, she made sure we got some casserole and it was really good. A fun evening and the locals made us feel very welcome! Highly recommended - especially on quiz night 😊

Visited here because everyone says it's the best chippy around. Staff were great and friendly, place was clean. Unfortunately our fish bites were dark brown ( overdone) with very little fish content, the chips were fine. Batter on the chips was lovely, asked for a large curry sauce. Hopefully this was a misunderstanding as the curry sauce we received was a small at best.

What an amazing venue! From the moment you walk into Carnival House you feel instantly at ease, it has such a warm and relaxed vibe. They have so many amazing things going on, I most recently visited for their Paint n’ Plonk night, which was fantastic! They have a well stocked bar with a great cocktail menu, and all the staff are super friendly and so welcoming. There is even a mini market/store with lots of amazing hand crafted products and unique pieces on offer. We can’t wait to come back and sample the food, which all looked unreal! I highly recommend calling into this place, whether it’s for a cuppa, a meal, or one of their many fantastic events ☺️

Does anyone know if the Riverview brasserie restaurant over at the Stadium of light in Sunderland is still open or not. Because me and my dad are about to go there for a Father's Day lunch out on the 18th June and every time me and my dad kept on phoning them it just ends up with nobody answering the phone. So could someone kindly send me a reply message back and let me know to see if the Riverview brasserie restaurant at the stadium of light in Sunderland to see if it's open or not.

This is a great coffee shop even better if you have young kids. In and our door play. Food and drink is of your standard range and price of any good coffee shop. Staff are helpful and friendly we visit with our little one all the time. They also have great range of activities. Workshops. Fun days for the local community. The donation box for the play area is optional So please ignore the poor review this is a place for people to relax and enjoy snobs won't get that the aim of this place is. A must visit

Cantonese sauce smelled of wee, portion size was tiny chicken soggy didn’t even end up eating it looked that vile

Ordered around 14:45 on just eat delivery said between 15:40-1600. Then get a notification from app saying delivered and nothing here. Called up but no answer as it is now closed. Not the best service.

Excellent food & service, I’ve ordered from here for a number of years now & im still to have a bad meal, price is great most places are overpriced but here it’s reasonable, highly recommend trying here you’ll not be disappointed

Munchies is a place where value is king – but it's not at the expense of quality. I've bought many salads from here because they're fresh every day. In fact all food is freshly made each day. Many cooked items are done when you order rather than being stuffed under a heat lamp. I recommend the hot meals too, such as mince and dumplings and the various curries on offer. It's fantastic value and tasty, no matter what you buy. I used to use a cafe in a nearby business centre, but on finding Munchies I stopped. Why? Because of the freshness!
