Does anyone know if the Riverview brasserie restaurant over at the Stadium of light in Sunderland is still open or not. Because me and my dad are about to go there for a Father's Day lunch out on the 18th June and every time me and my dad kept on phoning them it just ends up with nobody answering the phone. So could someone kindly send me a reply message back and let me know to see if the Riverview brasserie restaurant at the stadium of light in Sunderland to see if it's open or not.

Have attended the Riverview Brasserie on many occasions on a match day and found the food and service excellent, so decided to try the Sunday Lunch. All I can say is don't bother. The turkey was fine but the lack of vegetables on the plate was ridiculous...2 halves of carrot and one small parsnip...not a green vegetable in sight. The beef...inedible. The texture was akin to a second hand 1960s football. My partner could not even cut hers. I tasted my daughter's and it took 5 minutes of chewing before you could swallow. It was drier than the upper concourse on a League One match day. The small portion of mash was a bit "cheesy" too, according to my other daughter - we don't all like cheesy chips. Needless to say it's not cheap either. The staff were good in that they deducted the drinks bill but it still cost us £43 for a disappointing experience. Won't be back in a hurry.

Although a limited menu at present the choice was reasonably varied. Food quality and presentation was excellent and the service really good. I will book again, Sunday lunch looks a must.

The Brasserie has a very pleasant atmosphere and had great views over the city and beyond. It is good, clean venue with good toilet facilities, bar and is spacious. The food we had on my recent visit was excellent and I hope to return here. It is easily reached by Metro from Newcastle or via Sunderland.

I ate here for the wolves v Sunderland match. To be allowed to enter a shirt and tie must be worn The restaurant has a friendly, bright and airy atmosphere and the service staff are pleasant , helpful and attentive as are the security and stewards. The restaurant provides a great view of the surrounding area because of their large windows and also have flat screen TVs all around the restaurant. Seating is excellent .comfortable and fairly spacious with a definite premium view of the pitch. You also receive a complimentary match day programme on your allocated table. Their is a Sunday lunch menu with some choice and all the food is well presented. we arrived about 11.00 am for a 12.00 kick off and Cumberland sausage or bacon sandwiches were being served in rolls which were good served with pure orange juice. The first course is served at half time /with the option of a hot chocolate to take outside for the second half, and the main and dessert served at full time. The Sunday lunch was ok with a light but dry Yorkshire pudding ,nice roast potatoes thickly sliced roast beef and tasty veg.

My Brother took me, my wife, himself and his wife to this Hospitality Suite on 20th January 2018 for my Birthday and also to watch the match. From the moment we arrived everything was excellent. All staff very helpful, courteous and efficient. Surroundings, decor in Restaurant were so nice, food excellent, seats for the match were ideal. All in all, a great day out and one I would strongly recommend to anyone. Only downside, my wife enjoyed it so much she has now decided she likes football and wants to go back as soon as possible!

I adore this place for their Sunday roasts. We often visit as a family or for occasions like Mother's Day and we are never disappointed. The food is always top quality and worth every penny! I highly recommend the cheesecake for desert.

My partner brought me here for Sunday lunch, didn't expect it to be as good as it was, probably the best Sunday lunch I've ever had! The staff were very polite and the service very good, didn't wait long at all for the meal and dessert was even faster, can't wait to return.

We took advantage of lower prices to book a hospitality package to see Sunderland play MK Dons. The meal at the river view was surprisingly good. The champagne on arrival was a pleasant surprise followed by a very tasty Chicken Caeser but the highlight was a beautifully prepared Rack of lamb. The meet was cooked to perfection, a hint of pink in the middle a rosemary and minted herb crust and crunchy vegetables in Parma ham. We find hospitality food is often good bet never special until now. The riverview has just raised the bar.

Went for my wifes birthday with rest of family for sunday lunch. Bookings are taken from twelve till about three i think, and you turn up at stadium main entrance to be told where to go by the friendly security staff. On your way upstairs to the brasserie you pass all the football memorabillia of the football club,a must for any football fans. The menu is a traditional sunday lunch with four choices plus a vegaterian option.we had two young children in the party and the staff were very accomodating and done smaller portions of the main dish but there is also a kids menu on offer. The food is a very high standard. but not in large quantities for some maybe, and was served at the table by helpful and friendly staff who were great with the kids. You also get a choice of starters and yummy desserts. The cost for the three courses is £16 This is our fourth visit and would highly recommend it, especially for a special occasion or treat.

Our party of 6 ate here after a recommendation from a family friend. We didn't know it was here (Sunderland afc ground). There was a selection of starters-soup, bbq chicken legs, melon and Parma ham and onion bhaji. The soup was delicious and served with a seeded bun and butter. The starters were brought promptly. The main course was beautifully cooked! I had the beef roast with a giant home made Yorkshire served with cabbage and bacon, roast potatoes, mash, broccoli, carrot and swede mash and pea shoots. Others had the chicken and pork roasts which went down very well. The veggie choice was a cheese and onion tartlet. The puddings we tried were apple pie and custard, dark chocolate torte and cheesecake. Yum!! To end we had coffee and chocolates. Value is superb for the quality of food; 3 courses for £15.95 or 2 courses for £12.95. The staff were very attentive and friendly too. Will definitely be going back!

I eat here often as i work locally. I find the choice of food to be varied and look forward to the welcoming smile of the Owners/Staff. I believe this is the best 'Sandwich Shop' in Sunderland and would highly recommend.

Food was good but overpriced. Most upsetting was the time it took for the kitchen to serve us. Waitress was helpful & pleasant but caught in the middle. Either systems poor or need more kitchen staff....waited nearly an hour. Shame because it's a nice place but bit overpriced.

I thought school dinners were bad, but this place tops it with being the worse place I have eaten in. We visited with family for Sunday lunch big mistake. We were sitting not far from the microwave which we heard pinging every few minutes then food was served, food must be plated up and reheated, the veg was practically raw, as for the roasties(potatoes) well these were rock hard u could do some serious damage with these. There is no restaurant or carvery that I have eaten in can do a roastie as good as home, a fresh cooked home roast is so much better and Cheaper I definitely won’t be going back.

Dined out yesterday lunch time.just myself and my wife. Wife ordered beef baps n chips. I ordered the chicken Kiev but was told it'd be 35mins wait, as time was pressing I decided against the wait and opted for beef baos too which were lovely. Staff pleasent and friendly decor decent. O er all good experience but I will now have to return to have the chicken Kiev. If it's a 35.min wait then it must be decent.
