The box was soggy meaning the chips were also soggy and the chicken was not that crispy

Recently moved to Sunderland area needed to find a new Chinese takeaway again lucky for us we decided to try Great Wall on our first night in our new home and have been back twice since would highly recommend food is great!

First time we been here and it won't be the last food was very tasty and plenty too great service food was ready and waiting for us too collect and was red hot still

food arrived disgraceful, was as cold as ice by the time it arrived, tried to warm it up so i didn’t have to eat freezing food, but it just wasn’t appetising at all, chicken balls had about 5 strands of chicken in and the rest was just batter with grease pouring out of it, no ‘chicken’ balls whatsoever will never order again from here!!!!!!! disgrace!

Food was really really good. I ordered something I don't normally like too accidently.

Everything was fried like full of grease and just mostly fried batter I couldn’t eat it it was full of grease and hard to eat!

The chicken curry was really delicious. The chicken was tender and the sauce was thick and full of great flavours. The chicken balls were really tasty too, though I would recommend eating them with a pot of curry sauce which is sold separately.

Very small carton sauce was none existent like jelly prawn toast was burnt

Have ordered from them previously, and the food was good. This time the standard was poor. The noodles were for vermicelli noodles. Were runny,and not thick like the usual Taste wasn’t great, I don’t know what happened but has definitely gone downhill. I won’t be ordering again

My one request.... GO BACK TO SERVING PROPER THICK NOODLES for the Chow Mein... The skinny noodles are really not very good and not what people expect in a chow mein...

Food was cold, and generally not tasty. The chow mein was bland with no taste, the curry sauce was strange and congealed. The best item was the ribs but again the barbecue sauce was the right colour but limited in flavour and very watery. Not sure if they were having a bad night but for £40 it was disappointing.

It was early but most of my food was onions and only got a few pieces of meat, it tasted great but the portion for the price did not meet

Worst chinese meal I've had in while, sorry, Great Wall is usually good but tonight it was just bad. Nothing had taste and didnt seem fresh, even the chips looked and tasted like they were days old. Good side, mixed hors d'oeuvres were OK.

Food absolutely disgusting, all went in the bin, everything was burnt to a crisp and rock solid. Called up and wouldn’t do anything about it other than offer a free portion on next order as app I wasn’t a repeat customer not that it should matter as still a paying customer! Awful food and awful customer service will never return and would avoid at all costs

First time ordering from here. Honestly the food tasted like something my 5 yr old cooked..i have lived all over the world and tried many Chinese's. This was the worst by far..the chicken curry tasted like fruit. Watered down curry..nothing like any Chinese curry I have tried anywhere in the UK. The noodles were cheap thin things. Nothing was nice. Wasn't cheap either £36. All gone in the bin..only nice part. Lovely friendly delivery driver.

I'm not sure if it was the time we ordered but very unhappy with this meal. Curry sauce thick and lumpy Sweet & sour sauce runny Chicken and chips were soggy and the only thing that tasted decent was the egg fried rice

Disappointed. Battered chicken was chewy and didn't taste fresh. Fried rice and sauce tasted unpleasantly soapy. Would like Great Wall to respond to this please.

My absolute favourite place for Chinese food. Great service. Prompt delivery. Food fresh, beautifully cooked and very tasty. We've used Great Wall several times now and will continue to do so in future. What's not to like 👌

Food was great overall as always and delivery was as good as I've come to expect from Great Wall. My gripe on this particular order was that the chips were old and crunchy and generally not at their finest, but they were still just about edible.

Second time we have ordered this simply curry dish. Loved it both times.

Worst Chinese food I've ever had. Everything was cold considering it arrived 30mins early. House Special Chow Mein had 2 prawns in and few scabby bits of meat. Soggy Chicken Balls and Under Cooked Ribs. Chips and Curry Sauce was only thing hot and seemed to be cooked fresh.

Wrong order cold when arrives it was more like super noddles than noddles not got value at all

Salt and pepper boxes are very tasty and unbelievable value. Would be ideal if you could throw in another type of sauce like sweet and sour or Peking.

Outstanding collection time because all of the food was warm up except the soup which was red hot. But the food especially the chips and the salt and pepper chicken was very poor.

Order from here regularly and maybe it was an off night but the crispy duck was soggy and inedible and the boiled rice was solid. All went in the bin.

Super fast delivery; really happy with that. Not too impressed with the food - I expected salt n pepper chilli ribs to not be deep fried….yuk. Chicken balls were huge! Definitely not complaining about that!! Really put off by the ribs though ☹️

Don’t no how anyone can rate this place either ya off ya nut wen got it and don’t no wat day the week it is or wat but portion size are pathetic less than half the size from any other place the noodles was like super noodles put through a shredder even the chips was pathetic amount the honey chilli chicken tasted more like sweet nd sour the rice maybe half a pack of micro rice, a got honey chilli chicken noodles chips nd rice didn’t evn fill a plate fu@@ing s@@t!!!!!

The food arrived and tasted as though there had been salt poured all over it. Very unhappy as usually have a great meal from here. The chicken balls were also hard and stale as though they had been sat for a long time and the sweet and sour sauce had turned to jelly and again had a thick hard layer on it. Disappointed.

Decent food - beef curry and shredded chicken were both nice but wouldn’t order the ribs again, nothing on them and didn’t taste nice at all. Would order again
