Great breakfast at a great price

Terrible food terrible service, the veggie breakfast was a disgrace, one slice of toast, one poached egg, beans, and hash brown with two cold strips of veggie bacon with no veggie sausage which was stated on menu, on top of that the order took 30 minutes to arrive and was cold, I’d complained and sent it back without any refund offered, just blunt “who’s going to pay for this if I give you a refund “ terrible place avoid like the plague.

Visited first time today. Lovely food' lovely staff's definitely will be back.

What a surprise to find this lovely little cafe. Very friendly staff and a lovely well presented coffee stop.

The hot food was all cooked fresh and the cakes and pastries all looked scrummy - especially the cheesecake. The service was very friendly and efficient and with a nice smile. I would say it's a tad pricey but I suppose it's good value with everything being homemade.

What can i say !! We were stangers to the area and took a chance on having lunch in a cafe even though we had no idea what it was like. Such a little gem of a place, the staff were lovely, food was fresh, very tasty and reasonably priced. A good selection on offer. It was my birthday so i had to have a slice of lemon cheesecake, the waiter brought it to my table with a birthday candle in it, followed by all the staff, a tamborine, lol and they and the other customers all sang happy birthday to me, it made my day, i mean how lovely of them to take the time to make me feel special 🎂. We dont live in the area but when we are near again we will definitely visit again. NB...The cheesecake was the best ive ever had in my life and believe me ive ate a lot of it over the years, lol. We Thankyou xx

Hidden gem with the best home made chips

Lovely food at reasonable price. Although a small cafe, an excellent chef and friendly place to visit.

Great place to eat right on our doorstep. Fantastic quality home cooked meals and very friendly service. Can get very busy at times due to its popularity but we never let that put us off from going and trying our luck. Would highly recommend.

We have been to this cafe and always go when we visit our son in Sunderland. It has nice seats outside too, beautiful on a sunny day with brilliant gardens

This place is a joke I can’t believe I have just been charged £40 quid for 2 breakfasts a cappuccino and 2 tiny glasses of orange a cookie !!!! The food ain’t great the potions are ridiculously tiny and the prices are a joke I can honestly say I have never paid so much money for a mediocre breakfast, you can get nicer and cheaper from many other places.

The breakfast was delicious, and the milkshake was so refreshing. I would definitely recommend it if ever in Southwick Green.

This place is amazing the staff are so wonderful. They have a memorial garden so you can put a memorial plaque in the garden so you can remember a loved one my dad loved this place. It would have been his birthday today so my family got together with some flowers to put next to his name plaque. Keep up your amazing work. Was there on a Thursday afternoon about 2.30. Good staff and coffee. Food all home made. Cornish pasty and mash. Give it a try. Been back for coffee couple of times ..

A hidden gem in the middle of Southwick green .The Staff and Chef are lovely nothing is to much trouble .The food is amazing and well cooked .We went for breakfast on Christmas eve and it was delicious .Visit you wont be dissapointed .

This is my absolute favorite place I found in Sunderland (I am visiting from America) It’s cozy, delicious food, great lattes, always clean and amazing service. The people who work there are so sweet. They have books for you to read as well. I can’t stop going, definitely going to miss it when I leave here!

Beef roast dinners are lovely. My daughter and I go most Sundays. Beef is beautiful. Staff are welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. Very reasonable prices.

We have eaten here a few times and it is just a fantastic place, the food is lovley and home made, the staff are really friendly and the business looks out for its locals. We can really recommend this place, ignore the few clearly fake, malicious reviews - go and support a great local business!

An absolutely harrowing experience. Ordered cake from here and it felt like biting into concrete it was so stale. Added to that the coffee was far too foamy,I’m not exactly a coffee connoisseur but I’ve had better coffee during hospital stays than in my regrettable experience here (I reckon the atmosphere there was nicer too!). Don’t even ask about the floor, I came in and found, to my dismay, what could only be described as piles of dirt spread out across the room. I can only summarise my visit here as an absolutely grim mistake that I will NOT be making again any time soon!

Immediately after leaving I became violently ill. Probably because of the disgusting food. Safe yourself the bloody hassle and go elsewhere. These good reviews must be for a different place.

Great coffee for for a really good price

Really friendly service. A 20p discount for bringing your own cup and I had a homemade chocolate chip scone with fresh cream and a good quality coffee at a very reasonable price. Good social distancing measures, my first sit in experience anywhere since the lockdown and I felt safe.
