The best restaurants in Riverside North Tyneside North East

I have visited Darcies a number of times now with my Nanna who might I add swears by this place. They always treat her and her friend like royalty and always go the extra mile to make sure they are both happy! All of the food there is home cooked to perfection and tastes amazing. I’ve had the Yorkshire pudding wrap multiple times and it never disappoints potions are huge and good value for money. Lisa and the rest of the staff are lovely! There’s no doubt that she knows exactly what she is doing. I will happily be returning to Darcies and can’t wait to try the chicken nuggets my nanna raves about!

We love Hotel Chocolat and we’re excited that there was an outlet that served drinks and Ice Creams. We were not disappointed, from the service to the drinks and ice creams it was very very delicious. I had the billionaire sundae which was to die for.

Nice hotel near the ferry to Amsterdam. That's why we chose this hotel. Same rooms as the other Premier Inn and what we expected and love. Breakfast is a small walk away and quite good.

This take away has always been my favourite, not had one for a while so decided to treat myself, what's happened ! Half the food on the menu has changed or missing, took me awhile to find what I get. I always get just sauce as I don't really enjoy the massive lumps of chicken in a dish, so decided to order the basic massala sauce, just something small, but they no longer do just the sauce, so ordered chicken and decided to just fish it out there was hardly any chicken in it to fish out, yes I don't eat it but that's not the point, now it was not horrible but was not what I normally get, and I have never known this dish be hot ! It suppose to be mild, the chips I ordered I have to say where rotten, spicy didn't taste spicy I've no idea what spicy was used but it was not spicy found it hard to stomach and the nan bread was so tuff I couldn't chew it, very disappointed, won't be ordering from here again, waste of money, food went in the bin, as couldn't eat it. Back to the drawing board to find another place.

We bought three different dishes before crossing to Amsterdam on the night ferry. Unfortunately, all of us got stomach cramps and diarrhea during the night. The boat trip and the subsequent 1000 kilometer journey home by car became a nightmare. The food was extremely greasy/oily. However, one thing has to be mentioned: the employees/owners are really very friendly. It's a shame, it really wasn't a nice end to the holiday. Addendum: When the owners asked what we ate, I can answer this: 1x chicken 1x lamb 1x Ocra pods We know very well what we have eaten and we have better things to do in our free time than inventing something here.

Absolutely Love the calzone & cheesy chips from here. They were absolutely spot on & perfectly made.

First time visited, staff friendly food delicious worth a trip. Visited several times and standard of food is excellent. Don't serve alcohol but can take your own.

Great atmosphere and fantastic bar staff!

Yet again staff always forget to bring your full order over . Slow process when ordering🤷‍♀️ as well . We just want to relax when we go out , not having to get up n down all the time wondering where our order is, l finished my cup of tea and they still had not brought my cake over .

Lovely setting on the marina, food and staff lovely

Its not changed at all apart from the lush jukebox has gone. If you went 20 years ago its untouched brilliant blast from the past. Remember to switch your phone off!

Salt and pepper munchie box bit disappointed in the taste not very salt and peppery no onions or peppers would rather have chicken balls than chicken nuggets but apart from that was ok

Fantastic experience its a very well thought out and modernly decorated bar. Great staff, great drink and brilliant atmosphere. Deffo recommended.
