First time visited, staff friendly food delicious worth a trip. Visited several times and standard of food is excellent. Don't serve alcohol but can take your own.

Always been great food very pleased to see a family ran business do well.Not to adventurous with seafood but had the bengali fish bhuna and it was absolutely delicious definitely recommended for people who like white fish.

Couldn't fault Rajapur Bangladeshi Kitchen, warm and friendly hosts, excellent food - we had a wide variety of starters, mains and sundries between us and all were delicious. A great addition to North Shields, we can't wait to go back.

Another top notch meal been twice in last week once in large group and then just 2 of us. Both meals excellent reasonable prices nice staff nice setting. Bring you own booze is good too.

Had some wonderful food here last night lamb Kathi gosht, chicken Shash lick, tarka dhal, and nan, service was excellent too by (mo) the waiter. Take your own drink too.its better than the Gulshan in Tynemouth and cheaper. Definitely return !!!

Been here 3 times and each time the food and service have been excellent, lovely friendly staff. And added bonus of bringing your own beer or wine.

Went in for a curry last night and could not fault the service from the staff. So friendly and welcoming and gave us complementary popadoms and were extremely attentive. The food was delicious, will definitely be back! :)

Revisited the Rajapur (used to be Aramee) about a couple of weeks after it recency reopened. I was chuffed it did as Shields needs more restaurants. The food was good, my curry was really tasty and smokey with a depth of flavour I haven’t had in a while. It was spicy as hell so I’ll be toning it down next time. Staff were friendly but atmosphere wasn’t great as not many in. Need to use it or lose it! I will be back soon to show my support. Cheers

Been getting takeaways from here for a while, so it was nice to eat in now it has reopened the restaurant. As usual the food was top notch, with a nice complimentary starter of poppadoms and dips. Great bonus of BYOB so saving a fair bit of £££ overall. Service prompt and the venue very smart. Good to have another eat in option in Shields.

They have just branched out with table service. The food is the best I’ve eaten in many a year. A very pleasant experience. They don’t sell alcohol but you can bring your own. I wish them all the very best

We have tried various indian takeaways in the area and the Rajapur is easily the best. Ordering is easy, delivery is prompt and the food is top notch every time. Would recommend it everyone 👌

Just ordered food from here and I'm really picky with take aways usually but this was so delicious I really enjoyed it. The tikka paneer was unreal. 10/10 I would highly recommend

Always lovely food. We ordered a takeout online after a very busy work day. Arranged to pick up at 5.45pm as starving.. received email confirmation .. turned up bang on time but ... nobody there to cook food. We went elsewhere. Might need to look at their business model.

Had food from here many times but tonight’s was not good, poppadoms greasy, cold and limp. Chicken Dhansak and Bombay Aloo far too hot, just uncomfortable eating 🥵

Been a customer for months never had any complaints, great service lovely food always tasty.. last night ordered & sorry to say disappointed no taste to any of our meals (even I could eat madras normally blows my head off!!!) Rang to let restaurant know our feedback basically got laughed at for our feed back.. they will not be getting our service again!

Lamb tikka biryani was amazing and the mosola sauce was the best I’ve had in a long time 10 out of 10

Ordered meat thali for delivery it came on time but considering I live 2 minutes walk up the road from the restaurant it was luke warm, and hardly any sauce on the massala dish...chips were the only thing hot. Very disappointing

Ordered a delivery from the website. Order accepted, confirmation e-mail received, five mins later an e-mail to say my order is cancelled. Well no more business from me. I will order else where.

Excellent service, excellent food. We ordered a large amount for a birthday meal and every dish was superb. The chicken tikka garlic mirch was particularly good.

We placed an order online for delivery. It was a Saturday night and we expected to wait for ages. The food was with us really quickly and was lovely. Everything was still hot and was fresh and tasty. We will definitely be ordering again. Thank-you.

Chewy rice, tasteless curry, wrong order and to top it off food poisoning! Truly dreadful, one to stay away from.

My wife likes fish.... She loves trout.... well, so long as I take the head off! Personally I cannot stand bones in my fish but then I am a wuss!! They do something I have found nowhere else. A tandoori trout called Tandoori Machli. It is really nice. My Lamb Korai is pretty good but this is top of the list for weekend treats we are up for an Indian.

Ordered online from Rajapur the order came exactly as ordered, still hot and I was able to track it using their website which was great. Food was delicious, the choice on the menu is fab as they have the traditional items but also gave us the chance to try something new! Would highly recommend and will definitely order again!

After a very disappointing night, me and my partner had been totally let down by a restaurant on the fish quay, we ended up in Aramee. I have to say this is a hidden gem. Lovely food and great service very friendly. Lots of seats would be great for a large party. Spotless and bathrooms clean. Food was lovely. tasty and fresh. Thank you.

Food was ok ish have had better from there the service however was terrible owing to the fact there was not enough staff on to deal with our large party of 26. Very disappointing

Aramee is a beautiful place, it is a hidden gem in North Shields. They serve amazing food and they are so polite and attentive. It is never super busy and so you are unlikely to not get a seat! I usually have honey chicken but the staff are more than happy to help you pronounce some of the harder words on the menu!

Classy Indian Restaurant. Tables are nicely set out for a lovely fine dining experience. Staff are very attentive and make you feel special. Food very tasty, cooked to your preference. I would just like bigger plate!

Clean but functional interior, service attentive and friendly, but let's get down to business, I think I've eaten the best curry I've had in some time. I'd like to recommend Aramee they offer a decent Asian dining experience, at reasonable prices.

We are local to North Shield but forgot about this little jewel just been back tonight and had a wonderful meal the service was spot on the wine was fab and reasonable and the waiters so polite please go 👍ps someone wrote it's in a run down part of North Shields it is not In a run down part of North Shields ,have a drink in the pub and kitchen or walk along to the quirky oddfellows pub for a real ale before your lovely curry .

A regular haunt for the family. We often gather here for get togethers. Staff are brilliant, very friendly and patuent when meals are overrunning in time. Food lovely and never takes too long to be served. Definitely worth a visit.

Service absolutely useless waited at table for 2 hours Before food arrived whilst an other 2 tables received there's before us and they arrived half hour after us Please do not use this place unless you want to diet

Really disappointed with this place. No flavour. No taste. Just mass produced, out the jar curry. To be honest total crap. Never visit again. Some people obviously have never made a curry at home to know what it should taste like.... 5 stars you're having a laugh

Has consistently been up to a high standard for years, others have come and gone but this place has stayed open, always a good sign. Only downside? be prepared for a long wait at times between courses. Overall great food and always busy which is a sign of a good restaurant.
