The best restaurants in County Durham North East

Ordered on uber eats and unfortunately the food was terrible. Arrived on time hut was left at the door Fried rice was creamy, the fries are actually roast potatoes. Chicken curry was fine, the mutton curry was good until it cooled down then the meat became chewy. The cake was good. The naan bread was good.

Had fish and chips on good Friday, absolutely beautiful food, their curry sauce is amazing! Generous portions, and crisp crunchy batter, we will be back!

Poor serving sizes. £9.40 for Salt & Pepper Chicken loaded Fries. A few fries with some chicken on. Not what I was expecting for the price. Very disappointed

Got hot chocolates for takeout and they were amazing!! Lovely staff and the cakes looked so good too!

This was the last bar we went in on our visit to Barnard Castle and it was the best. Wish we'd found it earlier! Great selection of drinks (perfect pint of Blue Moon) and very reasonable prices. Toilets were immaculate, but not enough of them (my only very small issue!). Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful fish with gluten free batter. It's so hard getting a take out when you have intollerances, however this place is amazing. The staff are so accommodating and loads of options available. Come on everyone keep this gluten free menu going 😋 👌 👍

Unmatched selection of beer. Don't expect to find any big names here, only craft and local. They rotate the selection every week. They regularly feature vegan hand pull casks. Wonderful welcoming atmosphere. Very unique feel

absolutely discusting , ordered 2 different curries both looked the same and tasted the same . Will never order from there again and will tel others not to aswell
