The best restaurants in Chester-le-Street West Central County Durham North East

Quite noisy and couldn't concentrate when I volunteered here and it got too much but staff are friendly.

Recommend the mixed kebab starter- it was super tasty. 2 curry's were good too

Had a nice drive up from Leeds. I was absolutely starving and in desperate need to find somewhere good to eat in Chester Le Street. I had a mocha which was beautiful and I double cheeseburger meal with onion rings. I was happy and so was my stomach. Will definitely visit again! 😁

Went in first thing so it was empty. The place is really nice inside. The food (breakfast) was great. I got mine to take away so it was served in a large square foil tray and there was definitely enough. Will definitely be back again.

Our first visit and it didnt disappoint. Staff were attentive ,exceptionally pleasent. Food was fantastic ,good size portions ,piping hot and nicely presented . Easy to find with plenty of parking. We will go back ...

This retro looking cafe is something else. Came across by chance and so glad we did. Only went in for a cuppa and a snack, but when we saw the menu wished we had had a meal. Clean, not expensive and friendly staff plus they are dog friendly too. As seen on the police Drama Vera. Well worth a visit.

My friends and I decided to visit this tea room for a spot of lunch. It’s a quaint place that’s hidden from the main high street, The tearoom is welcoming and the staff were friendly and efficient. The food was lovely there was a good selection to choose from and everything was reasonably priced. We decided to have cake afterwards, it took us a few minutes to decide as they all looked delicious, the two we picked were really tasty. I will be recommending this place to family and friends and will definitely return in the near future!

Utterly pathetic, I’ve been a very regular customer for 25 years, but after New Year’s Eve horrific takeaway I will never step foot in there again…not everybody is drunk who enters on New Year’s Eve!! Avoid…at all costs

Great social club, the patrons of the club and the staff are very welcoming to newbies highly recommend you come along and become a member, and they have plenty of additional events going on... Especially on the weekends with live music acts....... Come along and enjoy

We have been to this restaurant many times but I don’t think we will go again. Nothing wrong with the food but we were overcharged by £2 and the waiter said it was for service charges (not listed on the receipt and not optional). Also if you do go - don’t get the Diet Coke (expensive and flat not fizzy). Also be prepared to wait ages for the bill as they seem to prioritise the take aways.
