Recommend the mixed kebab starter- it was super tasty. 2 curry's were good too

We have been in the area for a couple of years and had been looking for a good reasonably priced sit down Indian restaurant. We went tonight on a whim and left with a new local we will be back to, food very good and well presented. The restaurant was well decorated and comfortable and the service was second to none. Thanks guys we will be back soon

Appearance of restaurant was modern but no Indian influence. No atmosphere. Visited on a Saturday night. Asked for 2 poppadoms and pickles per person & only received 1 per person. Requested more & none arrived. Only about 20 people in the restaurant, yet it took over 40 minutes for the starter to arrive after we had poppadom and pickles. Food was good, but not exceptional. Also hot & reasonably priced. Lack of atmosphere & visual appearance let it down.

Food was superb the staff very polite and helpful.Great value for money will definitely be back.

Called in at 9.30 after a day out in Newcastle on the train ,just a short walk from railway station yet again another beautiful meal was served poppadoms mixed pickles , Onion bahjies, chicken Tikka masala, nut pilau and a garlic nan , all perfect , sensible prices , great service 5*****

Absolutely superb. 2nd visit whilst staying in Chester le Street, and will be back. Paneer stir fry and spicy lasun chicken for starters ... wonderful. Lamb Sagwala and Chicken Karahi mains with garlic nann ... Could not fault it, their chef really knows his stuff. Service was great, attentive but not over the top. Would highly recommend... thank you.

Got a lovely banquet for 2 people. The two onion bhaji's were enormous. We also had chicken tikka starter, 2 chicken korma's, pilau rice, garlic naan, poppadoms and they give you chips and mint sauces, tomato sauce and onion pickle for £21.95. Rang to see if they would deliver to Sacriston as it didn't say they would online. Yes no problem. Rang at 5.30pm and was informed it would arrive in hour. Went to get the cash. Arrived on time. Very friendly and nice staff on the phone and the delivery driver. Will definitely use them again and will visit the restaurant for a meal also.

This is the first time me and my partner have tried Bombay Lounge for a take away and (WOW - just WOW) we were absolutely blown away! Really enjoyed it. Honestly, as I was devouring the Banquet set meal we ordered, I was literally trying to find the words to say as I wanted to ring them up personally to congratulate the staff on their Fantastic food! Instead I’ve chosen to leave this review. How did you make that chicken and mushroom stir fry starter? Amazing man! It’s a really well done out restaurant inside as well (which we will definitely be visiting to dine in) and the service was class on collection. Hats of Bombay, keep up the great work!

Great friendly staff. Amazing food. Mixed kebab starter is definitely worth trying if you visit. 2 of us ordered 2 mixed kebabs, 2 currys, 1 rice, 1 naan, 1 side and we couldn't finish it all. With 2 drinks it came to £50, which for the quality and quantity and service it was definitely worth it. A nandos is about £20 without a starter for instance. Staff were nice and packed up what we didnt finish for us to take home.

Ordered online for collection. Food was ready on time excellent customer service. Inside all looked clean and smart. Food was hot and good portion sizes. We had a korma and a pathia bofh beautiful. Naan breads good size and really nice. Will definately visit again.

A lovely restaurant with friendly staff. My husband and I went for dinner and wow! The chicken jalfrezi was delicious, full of flavour and the spice was perfect. I would definitely go back again! Great food!

My son and I are on a bit of a curry house tour around Durham and surrounding areas.. Bombay lounge was our 5th venue since the turn of the year.. very good quality and also the best value meal so far..the main meal classic curries of chicken Tikka dansak and madras were our favourites but all aspects of our meal were lovely.. highly recommended we will be returning for sure..

Wow, wow, wow! Only came across this hidden gem a number of weeks ago and thought that we would give it a go...so pleased that we did! We received a warm welcome and were served quickly. We chose the banquette for 2 start with chicken tikka and chicken chat puri. The mains were chicken rogan kosh and a classic chicken tikka masala, accompanied with mushrooom pilau rice, spiced chips, garlic and corriander naan, and popadoms and sauces. While waiting for our meal, we opted for a couple of ice-cold Cobra largers. After a short, a massive bag of food arrived, and we headed back to the ranch. Upon opening that package, the smells that hit us were amazing! As we dished up the feast that sat before our eyes looked and smelled amazing. Digging in our taste buds were set alight with an array of amazing tastes. Absolutely the best Indian food in Chester le Street! Definetly be back again, that's for sure! Just moved into the area and wanted to try our local take out. The service over the phone was amazing and dishes were suggested to me after they didn’t serve a particular one as a starter. Food arrived and it was 10/10. Piping hot and FULL of flavour! So glad we have found a decent place that serves good, fresh food. Delivery guy was also very polite and friendly. Thank you!

I fell out of love with curry a few months ago, the local restaurants just didn’t have that spark in the flavours! Then we heard about the newly opened Bombay Lounge and it’s amazing, food is so flavoursome and plenty of it! The staff and service are really friendly and helpful. We are now regulars ! Keep up the good work guys !

Delicious food, well presented, lovely staff. Nice to have another great Indian rest in Chester, this one takes the biscuit though. Boys loved their first restaurant curry.
