Fabulous place to eat. Wonderful food and friendly service

We have been to Namaste several times now, at least 5 or 6 with family and friends and all I can ever say is WOW! This restaurant, the food, staff, (Adam, Amelia and Adam’s Dad) are simply unbelievable. It’s like having a private chef and server come to your home! I swore that we’d visit at least EVERY month and I’ve kept that promise up to now and will continue to do so. The BEST Indian / Bangladeshi food I’ve EVER eaten but ALSO some of the most genuine, meaningful service we’ve ever received. Adam, Amelia and the rest of the Namaste team, don’t change!! ❤️

Namaste in Spennymoor offers a genuine and highly-rated Indian culinary experience. I enjoyed a delicious lamb curry, accompanied by a refreshing onion salad and a flavorful pickled tray with Lime Chutney, Raita, and Mango Chutney. This was perfectly complemented by pilau rice and plain naan bread. Many others praise the excellent taste, beautiful presentation, and great quality of the food. Dishes are prepared fresh and served hot, with generous portion sizes. The Chicken Madras, Chicken Tikka, and Naan bread are particularly highlighted as excellent choices. The restaurant also serves authentic Cobra Draft beer. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. With both dine-in and takeaway services, I can't recommend Namaste enough. Such a wonderful edition to Spennymoor's town centre. Join me and many other 5 star reviews and give them a try. You'll not be disappointed.

I used to have to drive to other towns for Indian food, but not anymore! I've had takeaway from Namaste a couple of times now and both were very good. Takeaway was ready for collection at the correct time and the service was very friendly and polite. Would be great if a few more veggie options available for online ordering (e.g. vegetable masala), but the korma, bhuna and balti were all very nice. My favourite Indian restaurant in Spennymoor!

I had a meal with my fiancé and I, we didn’t book a table but we were welcomed in and the server sat us down at the only table available with such a welcoming and friendly manner. During whole dining experience this server was so accommodating and hospitable with a smile at all times. We were so pleased with the food it was AMAZING! We left with full bellies and extremely impressed with the service. Thank you so much! Will definitely be visiting again.

We went early, 6pm ish, the service was definitely 5⭐️ as was the food, best Indian food I've had outside of Bradford and Brick Lane, 3 of us all said the same, I had the Lamb Mint, the lamb just melted in my mouth, and the chapatis were like the home-made ones my friend used to make, highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have had the honour of eating in this restaurant and sampling their takeaway food also. The service here is amazing and the food is absolutely delicious. I can't recommend Namaste, Spennymoor enough. Get yourself there you will not be disappointed.

First time having a takeaway from this new restaurant. Wowzer!! Really friendly welcome from a very smartly dressed polite young man, wished we'd decided to sit in as the restaurant is really lovely inside. I had chicken tikka dhansak which was delicious, not like ones I've had from other places and a bit like a chicken tikka masala with pineapple and lentils, but very nice indeed, tender meat and thick rich sauce, wife had mint lamb which she said was delicious with tender meat and tasty sauce, the rice were perfectly cooked and light and fluffy. The peshwari naan bread was large and a good amount of filling, maybe could have been cooked a little longer as slightly underdone but delicious. Would we choose this restaurant again? Absolutely YES! Next time we will book a table and enjoy a drink with our meal. All the very best to you, I'm sure your business will flourish.

First visit and all I can say is Wow! Service, amazing, food, amazing, and to top it off we asked to take our leftovers home which they put in containers and kept for us to collect after we had drinks elsewhere. Couldn't ask for more. Top class, get yourselves there people!

Tremendous staff. Lovely food, and well decorated venue. Works well for a quiet meal for two and also to celebrate events. Highly recommend the butter chicken and the Indian cheese. May the restaurant continue to be successful.

Some of the best Indian food that we have eaten anywhere. Lots of choice on the menu and everything was delicious and good value too. It was great to see the restaurant busy on a week night; it was our first visit but we will definitely be back. It has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It’s already become our favourite place for curry.

Lovely food and great staff. Nice selection of food to choose from including the some fab authentic spicy dishes. Reasonably priced. Staff are attentive and friendly especially when they spot regulars :) Only thing that lets the place down is the limited amount of seating as it’s a small venue. If your unfortunate you’ll be seated in the middle table and you get a bit frustrated from been bashed on both sides (kitchen, order collections and toilets). It can be quite loud when full and no background music. If there is you really cannot hear it over people shout-talking over each other. Top tip: book in advance. Walk ins are welcome but not always accommodated due to pre-bookings. Unavailable for deliveries but you can order for collection.

Based on.the front street at spennymoor with ample free parking, this is a lovely Indian restaurant/takeaway, cooked to perfection, fabulous flavours and very good service, definitely recommend going to this place but best to book ahead at weekends to avoid disappointment

Wonderful meal the Tandoori Mixed Grill best I've ever had and my Mrs loved her food. Incredibly friendly service and a lovely atmosphere. We will be back many times

We’ve had 2 takeaway meals from Namaste, the first order was Rogan Josh which was very bland in flavours and not very spicy. Tonight we ordered Chicken dopiaza which was worse than last time, extremely bland with very little spice or flavour. The curry was watery, and to be fair I’m not a chef but could make better! We normally go to the Indian Cottage in Crook which is far better. It’s really a shame because the venue is trendy and clean. It’ll be while before we order again. Well give it another 6 months and try ago.

Too a chance table for 2 booked at 4.30,had quick service, wonderful food, lamb jalfrezi, chicken dupiaza( i cant eat hot food, so removed hot spices, but kept taste), onion bhaji, mushroom rice, saag aloo,naan, peshwari & garlic, all food cooked to perfection, will return again soon

Very good food served by very pleasant and helpful staff. Good selection of food to choose from. Cobra beer is the draft option. Can't find anything negative to say. Yesterday was our first visit but won't be the last

Order a takeaway for my wife and myself. Picked up and staff were super friendly. Food was excellent best we've had in years. Beautiful flavours and the best prawns ever and my lamb was first class. Samosas were full of flavour as were the onion bhajis though I'd prefer one large rather than 3 small. But that doesn't take away from the fine quality. We will be back often, might even eat in the restaurant next time.

Family party of 7 dined on the opening night. Food was excellent, service was excellent and nicely priced. Cobra lager on draught and wine nicely priced.
