The best restaurants in Chingford Green Waltham Forest London

Need a card machine - really inconvenient not to have one - losing themselves customers…and money. Surely not too much to ask!

Un buen menú. La comida es sencilla, pero siempre muy bien, y cocinado en el abierto ... Por lo tanto no higiene escondida sorpresas. una pequeña cafetería.

Good local pub in Manor Park, 1 minute walk to station. Has a pool table, friendly staff, locals and regulars. Shows Sky sports, and has a DJ at weekends.

Soup was tasty although tepid. Chicken wings were really good.

I’ve been using Butkers Retreat regularly for several years. It’s a great location for walkers. The coffee was reliably good and became less reliable. It is now, unfortunately, reliably poor.

Escuché que este lugar estaba bajo nueva dirección y pensé en intentarlo. Fue bastante bueno, el personal era servicial, limpio y la comida era deliciosa en comparación con otras tiendas de pollo. Excelente, chicos bien hechos, sigan así!

Not great , lovely looking place, however a restaurant that doesn't do lunch & dinners. Breakfast only.

The King's Head had many tables marked as 'reserved' as we visited the week before Christmas. We had not booked, but got a table for four. The menu available was vast, but unappealing. Three of our group chose fish & chips which we enjoyed, however the diner who chose lasagne said it mushy - like baby food! The bar service was excellent and the pub nicely decorated, however none of the fires were on therefore making it cold & uncomfortable which was a shame. Finally, I must add the King's Head website gives far too many menus - see photo.

It is the best fish n chips by far I know in London - light batter, tasty fresh not pre frozen) chunky cod, not overcooked and sticking to the batter like so many other chippies and quality pots used for the chips. They know what they are doing.

I recently had the displeasure of dining at Breeze Restaurant in Chingford and feel compelled to share my experience. Please don’t be fooled by the building’s external appearance as the food and team do not reflect this. It was quite shocking to be treated in such a rude manner. This was all because I was not happy with the over cooked fish and luke warm food that was being presented to me. They also got my order wrong and when I asked if it could be changed, I was made to wait over 20 minutes before they brought the order over. By then, everyone else had eaten. I asked to speak to the manager who was extremely rude, lacked professionalism and needs a lesson in how to deal with customers appropriately. The manager demanded I pay for my meal even though I did not eat it and I should not have had to pay anything but was made to. Not only was the manager rude, but one of the waiters was also downright rude and grabbed my plate away with such force it was astonishing that an establishment such as this employed such under trained staff. Moreover, the food was far from satisfactory. It was not only unappetising, lacked flavour, but also poorly prepared and presented. I had high hopes when I came in, but the terrible food completely ruined the experience and my evening. It's a real shame that the lack of professionalism within the team overshadowed what could have been a pleasant meal. I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for management to make necessary improvements to the food and to the waiting staff. The manager needs to lead by example, I’ve not met a manager such as this in a very long time in all my years eating out. Based on my experience, I would advise others not to waste their money at this restaurant. There are undoubtedly better restaurants in Chingford to spend your hard-earned money with. Fui en un día soleado a este restaurante con amigos La idea era tomar un bocadillo o también como hemos comido allí antes. Teníamos una mesa exterior, lo que nos da una sensación de un café continental. La camarera principal compró los menús, incluido un menú tailandés. Tuvimos una charla con ella y ella recomendó las opciones tailandesas. Nos alegramos de que lo hiciera, los platos eran excelentes. El servicio era excelente también.

Ate there on Feb 20, 2022. Staff were friendly and food was delicious. Stereo prior to attending the play ‘Witness for the Prosecution’ as it is nearly across the street. Delicious!

food is good but is being let down by horrible staff and rude management. Ordered last many months ago and the experience was so bad that this is me righting a bad review months later. Absolute clueless ignorant people working there who don't have the slightest or simply don't care about what the customer wants or thinks of them or if they care about repeat business.

Amazing place and very nice place to chill .. love their food and staff .. amazing shisha you can smoke it 3 hours with same taste

We were welcomed on arrival by a very nice man and shown to our table. We had booked for breakfast which although is no longer an option there, they provided us with a varied breakfast menu and all the food was delicious and well cooked. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly. We were so grateful and happy with our experience. We often visit for drinks and dinner because the staff here are so nice and they allow dogs. It’s a real shame breakfast is no longer offered here as it was so tasty and very good value.
