Rusty Bike Pub in Waltham Forest

The food was really nice and staff were polite but the music is crazily loud, we were having to shout to talk to each other, was definitely not the right volume for dinner on a Monday night. Was disappointing because it had a really negative effect on the meal.

Great food but extortionate drink prices and the worst wine you will ever drink! Had a lovely thai meal as always...literally cannot fault their food but the drinks are so unreasonably priced and the bar staff are a joke. Paid £10 for the smallest glass of wine, took one sip and nearly threw up. It was like drinking straight from the vinegar bottle. I immediately went back to the bar and asked to swap it for a different wine only to be told they cannot swap it and id have to pay even more money for one of the other wines that they had on offer. Terrible customer service. Never experienced anything like it and for that reason i will NEVER return.

We turned up and there was football on so it was quite busy but the crowd in there are quite friendly and welcome you to sit on their table as the tables are quit large. Although we sat in the pub area we deiced to eat also (you order at the bar and they will bring the food to your table). The food was really tasty, the drinks were good, nice selection. Televisions everywhere in case you did want to watch something on there. We would happily return, it was my first visit but was impressed, very flexible place..you could even go there on your own or as a large group celebrating something.

This pub continues to deliver. Great food, friendly staff and screens everywhere for the footy and other major sporting events. Always a friendly atmosphere with a good mix of clientele.

Great food, Massaman curry is a must try with a spring roll to go alongside. Service was super fast and the food was flavorsome and tasted well spiced and great. Spring rolls were crisp and filled with veg! All was very affordable too.

Went in for lunch on a Friday. Food was delicious, can absolutely tell was entirely home made and all Sauces made from scratch. The satay sauce was especially good. Would recommend the mix platter for 1, comes with all the great Thai/pan Asian started you’d expect. The home made prawn toast was amazing! On top of that the beer was great. Would highly recommend.

The best thai food you can get locally. The pad thai is EXACTLY the same as it come in Thailand. It’s a pub, which isn’t really my vibe. So it’s not going to be the best service (I haven’t eaten upstairs though). The staff have been lovely every time I have been - it sh*ts all over pat pongs and Robin Hood. It’s the most authentic thai food around here for miles. The portions are really generous too.

Went in today, really looking forward to the vibe. Just like the other reviews, staff were sooooo cold and unwelcoming. It was so awkward ordering food and drinks because the bar guy just couldn't crack a smile. Awkward awkward awkward. The lady who served our food was also cold, no "how was the food" just ready to take our plates away with haste. What a grumpy group of staff. Think the manager needs a change of staff.

Ordered a take away which I have done before! Didn't want to wait for slow delivery man so visited pub Had a beer and ordered a takeaway which you would have thought was simple enough? However my takeaway was delivered to the delivery drivers pouch and sat there for 10 to 15 minutes! When I enquired where my takeaway was I was told I should accept the one that had been sitting there for 15 minutes! I said that's why I came to pick it up as I didn't want the delay from the delivery drivers!! Was persuaded to take the meal which had been waiting there for 15 minutes which I wish I had not! No apology!!! Whist the curry was still hot and fine, the duck spring rolls were soggy and didn't have the plumb dipping - had some crap chilli sauce! There is no system of telling takeaway in person from delivery!! Won't be coming back which is a shame as it used to be so good! Any comments?

Decent pub / Thai food restaurant. Bars aren't the cheapest but they've a good game across the bar. Good is well priced. Came very quickly in good portions and was very very nice. Chicken wings are super spicy!! Staff are all good too. Clean loos n all. What's not to like.

What has happened to this place? The food comes out so fast everything is microwaved. You can imagine the rice cooked waiting in big containers to be microwaved. Chicken already cooked with pots of sauce waiting to be mixed together and then microwaved. So disappointed this is not the same food as when it opened. You've lost customers today. Food is not cooked fresh, ingredients have changed. It seems that the venue is maximising it's profits over quality and ingredients used. No Aubergine in the green curry but spinach. What is that. Really disappointing.

Booked a table to watch the football - arsenal game then the west ham game - watched the arsenal game had some food all going well then they suddenly switched the football from the main screen to the motor racing which no one was watching. We asked for the screen to be switched backed to the football only to be refused point blank even though he could not identify one single person watching the motor racing but two reserved tables (not just our party) wanted to watch the football. So we (party of 15) have left, and are now spending our money in a pub a few doors down in another more appreciative pub.

What a great find! Fabulous food! Generous portions. Great service, friendly staff! This was our first visit & it certainly won’t be the last! Can’t wait to go back! Absolutely love this place after just one visit!

The food is amazing . Bar staff are first class , overall really nice place , nice people just having a nice time ……..,, BUT Oh my Absolutely freezing in there . Meant to be going out somewhere afterwords But We went straight up to bed as we were shivering 🥶🥶 Have to only come here in the warmer months … Too expensive to be this cold . No need to turn heating off Place is packed out so obviously still making money Why I are you not putting the radiators on . ??

Came here for dinner with my family in the evening, as we came in we didn’t get a hello welcome how are you just do you have a booking, we phoned up before hand to see if they were busy and they said on the phone you can walk straight in when we come in, when we said that to the staff member she went to double check with her manager even tho there was tables free to sit down, one of the staff members just walk off to take us to are table without even saying anything to us to follow her , we ordered m are food and drinks on the tablet they have to choose what you want, we had are drinks come to are table and there was no here are your drinks etc they was just put on the table with no friendliness what’s so ever same with the food to sometimes which is a shame as it’s my second time coming here the first time I came to sushi monster staff was very friendly we felt welcomed they even helped us use the tablet to order food, we asked for a manager after we payed for are bill we had the service charge taken off as we felt we shouldn’t pay service charge with service like that, the staff on the floor then asked us why we wanted to speak to the manager and we explained because the service has been poor and that we feel like we are unwelcomed everyone on the table felt abit uncomfortable, we spoke with the manager once he came upstairs and explained what happened and we also asked why is the service like this with no friendliness and he just seemed like he didn’t really care what we was saying to him if your a manager you should be taking that seriously as service is important to keep customers coming to your business honestly this is not a good look hopefully no one else has to deal with the same poor service like we had tonight, apart from that on a positive note! the food was really good I work as a chef myself and the food was 10/10

We've only ordered takeaway from here but it never disappoints, the food is always delicious. We'll definitely try eating in one of these days.

This does sound weird when I say the food tasted great BUT please don't use precooked meats. It doesn't take long to flash fry fresh meat. Having said that the taste and spices were really good and the vibe is good

1st experience at Sushi Monster & Rusty Bike - will definitely come back. Great choice of food with lots of veg / gluten free options. Food times were decent. Prices were fair.

All the staff have an attitude, none of them seem to knows what they’re doing, the food was bad and 2 hairs were found in both meals. Disgusting.

Overall the food was really fantastic, served very fast on a busy Saturday night, and the real stand out was the duck pancakes which a few of us had, absolutely delicious, best duck I have ever had, cooked and crisped perfectly. Fantastic value for money.

Amazing staff, great ambiance, and the food is fantastic. Perfect place for sushi lovers as their sushi menu is delicious. For non sushi lovers there is another full menu available with A LOT of variety!!

Atmosphere in pub is great, food delicious & friendly staff. We ordered a number of starters & main dishes for example spring roll, prawn on toast, salt & pepper squid, vegetable Gyoza, Massaman Curry, jantaburi Pad Thai. All tasted amazing & freshly cooked! Definitely recommend.
