Leytonstone Spice in Waltham Forest

I've been going to leytonstone spice for many years. I've taken many friends/family there -everyone always enjoys the food. And good service too. It's refreshing that the basics are good too- good cloth serviettes/table cloths.

We have ordered take aways from this restaurant several times now, and the quality has been excellent each time. The dhansak curry is particularly tasty. Ordering over the telephone is quick and easy. Keep it up Leytonstone Spice - 5 stars! 🌟

Called them up cosnI wanted to place an order the person on the phone was super friendly at first. I told him I am a vegan, and want to place an order online, suddenly he turns all rude and says he can't do anything all his dishes if placed online are going to be non suitable for vegans, place the order over the phone. He told me its cheaper over the phone, not really as I double checked and asked him the prices all was same, plus an offer of 5 off on uber makes it cheaper on uber, complete waste of time, lost on a potential loyal customer and demo missed out in a sale, as I was ready to place an order literally right there and than

Came here for meal with partner on Tuesday evening. Had some chicken with vegetable curry. Excellent flavour. Good service and friendly staff. Very reasonable price

Ordered delivery from here for ages and thought it was great, but we checked the hygiene rating and it’s been a 1 since May 2023. 9 months later and no change? Come on. Won’t be ordering again until it improves.

Best Indian take away in the area - food was absolutely delicious!

The food was fresh, hot and delicious and came in good portion. Their mixed grill was a standout item and the tandoori chicken was noteworthy- it was soft and succulent, bursting out with flavour. The lamb biriyani came out really nice. Their complimentary papadums and potato curry were a delight. It's inspiting to see Bengali-owned restaurant break the norm and provided ample portion. Will be ordering again for sure. Thank you Leytonstone Spice.

The food was obviously repurposed. The lamb had different bits of meat obviously cooked in different ways. The Biriani already didn't have a fresh grain of rice in it! For all I know it could have been a collection of their leftovers served into a dish for me. No thanks.

We love the food from Leytonstone Spice: always tasty, good portions and we never have to wait very long for delivery. Would recommend them every time

Worst restaurant to go to,As i always cook at home and as i am a Bangladeshi british i cook mostly bengali authentic food,if sometimes if i have takeaway or dine in mostly i go for different countries cuisines,But this this i thought let give a try how a bangladeshi restaurant cooks for local English folks,They left me in shocked!!!!This restaurant should be shut,Terrible customer service,Rude waiter,No smile,no tissues,Raw or half cooked heavily priced Lamb Chops 🤮🤮Lamb biriyani was alright .Food only looks nice but taste 1/10. I would highly recommend not to go in there and waste your money. Hope this review helps both Ways.

Reliable indian takeaway, have been coming pretty regularly, prices are good and the food is okay. it's in the category of takeaways where there are some dishes you should avoid and some that are really great. their korma and butter chicken didn't do much for me and were a little on the oily side but the passanda is great and seems to hit the flavour profile i wanted from those other dishes. bahjis are solid but pakora was bad. fish tikka is good chicken tikka is good. their dahl is very soupy, it's not terrible but you'd want a solid amount of bread or rice to have with it, i like the saag aloo not crazy about the mushroom bahji. if you're a curious type like me and interested in ordering the red sauce let me tell you it is a spicy red sauce suitable for a poppadom; i could take or leave it. i have still not tried much of the menu as it is quite extensive and will undoubtedly return for more when the need arises.

This was the first time I didn't like food from this restaurant, quite disappointed actually. Especially bcos on the phone I asked them to please make my curry nice but it tasted nothing, no salt I think was added and food just wasn't tasty at all. I couldn't eat it much, left. Won't order again.

Worst butter chicken ever, oily and way too sweet , this cannot be butter chicken rename it to coconut chicken . Chicken also tasted a bit off and had a smell. dissapointed

The service (courier) was very professional. As for the food, superb. My lamb was tender and flavoursome. The rice was nicely cooked, fluffy and well seasoned. The Peshwari nan was fruity. I am very impressed and we will certainly order again in the future. I truly recommend this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.

I ordered Chicken and Prawn Biriyani. To be very honest, the chicken one was horrible to taste with no minimum spice in it. There's no point of ordering from an Asian restaurant if there is no Asian touch. You simply can't call this food BIRIYANI. Secondly, if I talk about the prawn one, tastewise it wasn’t bad but it again does not justify the term Biriyani. Who puts corn and coriander in Biriyani?? At first learn about dishes and then serve customers please!!

It wasn't awful, but sadly it wasn't great. The bhaji was fine, and the tikka meats in the starter were good. Peshwari Naan was probably 7/10 and Mushroom Rice was solidly average. The big disappointment was the main: the Tikka Karai sauce was greasy and indistinct, and the lamb really let it down - very fatty and not particularly flavoursome. School Report: Could do better 😕

I ordered lamb balti, tarka dal and rotis. The lamb balti was in a tasty sauce, mildly spiced, and the lamb well cooked. My only criticism is that I would prefer more vegetable content but I think what was served was typical for the industry, and perhaps this is what many people want. The tarka dal was very wet, tasted nice but I would prefer a thicker consistency. The rotis were good, and I know that is not an easy thing to achieve when being delivered. I will order again from this restaurant.

Absolutely lovely delivery driver. Tikka masala was excellent & they followed my specific request. Pilau rice was average & my garlic naan arrived as plain, that disappointed me. But as the curry was so good I would definitely order again & speak to them on the phone so same mistake doesnt happen. I did 4 star due to naan error.

Ordered multiple times now - 9delivery service has always been incredibly fast, massive portions, very hot food when it arrives and tastes delicious.

First time using this restaurant. Both the chicken and vegetable dhansaks were lovely. Paneer also good. Delivery arrived very quickly, and we were also given a free portion of bombay potatoes. Result! Would order again.
