We went with some Latinos friends. A little bit of disappointment as they don’t have lot of the list in the menu.
We try to choose of the list the waitress mentioned had and then he return that they don’t have as well. So, i don’t know if it happens all the time or only the unlucky day we went.
The drinks were fine and as well 2X1!
Very unique place for a drink. Love the fact that this place is on an old boat, lots or character but watch your step! The boat is a little tilted and after a few beers is easy to loose your footing.
Bar s so great ! Garden is big and food is very good! Would give 5 stars but staff litteraly hate their job and give a bad service. Slow even when you are the only one standing at the bar
Dining as a family of six, we found this place to be perfect for those who love homemade food, Portuguese culture, and local dining. The owners were incredibly warm and welcoming, especially since we were there with our puppy. Everyone ordered something different, but the best part was the generous portions, which allowed us to enjoy leftovers the next day too! Muito Obrigado, amiga!
Snooker tables in the basement for anyone who likes a game after a great meal! 😊
Zumbura is an excellent fusion Indian in Clapham Old Town, close to Clapham Common. The menu is great with lots of choice and some unique dishes. The restaurant has a good set-up with a very nice bar. All this and the prices are very good also. Go visit!
RIP. Had some wonderful cups of coffee here, and spent many hours sitting working and chatting with friends. The staff were always lovely too. So sad they’ve shut down. Coffee studio- you will be missed.
I’ve been here on two occasions and have had bad experiences with the staff.
On my first visit, I was waiting at the till for quite a while, while the 3-4 members of staff pretty much ignored me. When one of them finally served me, I wasn’t greeted, just asked ‘what do you want?’ and then made to feel like I was being an inconvenience.
During my second visit, I tried to pay by Amex, and was told pretty rudely by the middle-aged guy serving that ‘we don’t accept Amex, we shouldn’t have to pay for your points’. Don’t get me wrong, I TOTALLY understand when places don’t accept Amex, especially small businesses, and I usually always ask - but this cafe has an Amex branded umbrella stand and an Amex Open/Close sign in the door. You can also let customers know that you don’t accept Amex politely, the guys rude attitude really put me off ever coming back again (and isn’t negative experience with the service isn’t a one-off if you read other people’s reviews). Surely being rude to customers actually does more damage to a small business than ‘paying for points’ ever will.
